This app lacks refinement. It can be confusing to use. Gets the good done for the most part when away from home but the desktop version is preferred.

Biometric sign-in still doesn't work on this new app. The app just crashes when I try to use it. Same as the old app. UPDATE 2024-05-31: Sorry guys, biometric sign-in is STILL broken. The issue is definitely not at my end because I use bio sign-in on several of my other apps without any issue.

Horrible. This is not an upgrade from previous app. Logins are sporadic, sometimes I can get in other times I get an (unknown error please try again later) This is trading app, try again later means I'm losing money. Fix this amateur app or allow customers access to previous app.

The worst investing app I have ever seen. Not even able to trade an option position from the app. Functionality are comparable to what was the done at competitors 20 years ago. Just don't invest with them if you can (most of their clients are forced to use them because of financial industry rules).

For a company I trust with a lot of money. Not to trusting when you can't get an app to work. I cant even get into it. Reset password. I know it's right. I don't care but people could loose lots money if they can't trade due to poor app(could save money too!!!)

Qtrade had a great easy to use and easy to view app. I'm not sure why they switched to this peace of garbage! Really it just now has a confusing layout I don't like it one bit. I will likely just use the desktop site now as it's 100 times better than this app.

Not much better than their previous app I'm afraid. Just use their online site because you get way more functionality. For example, in the app, you can just see what securities you own in your accounts but you can't see other information like how much income you earn in the account or the portfolio score etc. that you can see online. I also have an advanced watch list online which didn't show up on the app. I think it's designed to get you to do trades, not actually help manage your money.

Such a bair bone basic app. Couldn't even do the first thing I wanted with my cash that finally got deposited after over 5 freaking months later - move it to my USD account to trade with. Instead of intuitively listing my existing accounts at the transfer screen, I was just seeing a blank list like I have no account. Had to login to the website to initiate a conversion request instead, which currently doesn't exist in the app, ans that conversion between my accounts takes a while with Qtrade.

Solid platform and good customer service. Works well for almost everything. One area that could be better is fx currency exchanges (poor rate and fee disclosure). Also I would love to see more small / mid cap qualitative research reports.

Disappointed that still no option to transfer funds between your cash & registered accounts from the app. Have to login to a full version website to do this. Unacceptable in this digital age, qtrade is being left behind. So many people are complaining about not being able to login, same happened to me but then realized the username is case sensitive & have to be uppercase for it to work. Please fix this.

I don't know... it's... different than the previous app. Some aspects are a little better, some are much worse. It does not seem like a significant improvement but just a change for the sake of change. Also having the same problem others have mentioned where the app isn't compatible with Google password manager which is a bit of a deal breaker for me.

This new app stinks! The old version was much better! They took away our old watchlists! The screen layout is not good - the layout is more spread out. I use screen grabs to record data, now have to take many screens to gather the same data. Its just overall not very good. Shame on the developers!!

Old app was much better. Chart settings still exists in the new app but they dont work. Clicking apply to new settings says it applies new settings but nothing actually happens. Really annoying when updates occur that only take away/break features. The app was fine before and did not need a big rework... also now it completely erased all my watchlists and i would have to recreate them. Why? Just let me use my same wathlists from before.

The improvement here is a better line graph of overall portfolio performance and the circle chart of overall asset allocation. The old app however is much better as the home page and portfolio view shows a snapshot without scrolling of all accounts. The old app portfolio view also let's you view holdings across all accounts on one portfolio view "all accounts"....... The new app does not. Overall just add the better charts to the old app and that would be a great improvement.

Version 2 is horrible compared to version 1. The fonts and white space are way too big. Theres no way to look at a bunch of stuff at once. My password is never stored, and it's very hard to type on a phone keyboard. I don't appear to be able to view multiple accounts on one screen. The back button frequently just exits the program. Amature.

Edit: the problem was my account was not active. Problem solved. Good app, just wish it had a live tracker. Tickers function, but I can't see my graphs in real time. Once the app opens it shows a server error exception, and I am unable to use the program. It does not load my account, does not load trackers, and this error is present in all screens. So far, unusable.

While the app is prettier than the previous one, it just has absolute terrible functionality. It is more concerned with making a pretty graph of my previous month then allowing me to see detailed information about my accounts. I have to click through several screens and really dig just to find out how much cash I have or to see a transaction history. I expected more, a lot more from the app redo. Instead I got less information, less useful information, and useless graphs.

Awful broker that charges way too much on fees with an outdated website. Look elsewhere. It used to be a decent broker but now it's potentially the worst in Canada.

DRIP takes up to 10 business days, price does not reflect the price on pay date. Most free ETFs have high MER fees. Wealth simple is a better platform, ill be switching soon.

the customer service is trash. I have been travelling overseas for over a year and have not been able to access my account because the verification text message when you sign in goes to my old number. They don't allow any other options for certifying yourself. the international phone number does not go through. I've emailed several times requesting a call to update details which are ignored. I have not been able to make trades or access my tax documents at all... ridiculous.
