considering i find most things like this hard to understand, I have found your app extremely easy to use, find where I need to go even when I have to catch 4 buses, the drivers always help you and between that and this app, I appreciate it alot!

Garbage App. Used to be reliable but now Google Maps is more useful since PTV journey planner barely gives the right information, updates on trains happen late (was waiting for a train on a cold weekend only to realise it had been changed to start halfway along the line instead of the start, then waited 45 minutes for the next one), live tracker doesn't work (missed multiple transport thanks to it changing suddenly) and to use online myki you have to relogin every time. Get your act together PTV

the trip planner needs a lot of work. It doesn't include buses like Yarram to Traralgon in your Melbourne to Yarram options, buses are public but not Vline. It also doesn't include main stops in country towns so if you look up San Remo it tells you all the stops for the local buses as well as the vline stop and you have to know the town to know you want Marine Parade.

app only shows about half the trains on the departures screen meaning there are several trains which you can't easily track. when you go to all departures for a certain line the app crashes. this crash has been a persistent issue on not just my phone but several other people I know. don't waste your space on this useless app

Train and bus times are off, I've missed a few trains and buses because I planned to 'arrive' at train station and bus stop at least 5 minutes before this PTV app's plan function 'informs' me of the train/bus time, only to watch my train/bus passing while walking towards... Pointless, given one of the 'key functions' of this app is to inform/provide people of transport times! 🤔🤔🤔

what has happened to the journey planner :-( It never gives me accurate travel plans anymore, my hubby is having the same issue. e.g planner had my travel time as 2hr 53m. I checked the manual train & bus time tables for the route I always take and cut my travel time to 54m. have reset the filters & preferences with no change. This is only recent, it worked perfectly previously. Have had to download manual timetables to plan journeys the old fashioned way. And bus tracker is gone!! :(

The fundamentals of this app work fine, the biggest issue i have with it is when there are changes to regional service routes that are not reflected in the app. I live in Ballarat and the app is incorrect for many bus routes due to certain bus stops being closed. The app directs people to closed bus stops ot tells you you have to get off at a stop and walk to your destinstion eg the train station even when the bus you're catching clearly ends at the station.

Doesn't work. I get just four strobing coloured dots in response to trying to do anything constructive in the app. Apparently it's the only way to get half-accurate information, as the VLine website constantly suckers me into believing all the incorrect info published there. Pretty much renders Victorian public transport useless to me.

Since the last update, times on the journey planner have disappeared, and you are now required to jump around the pages to get train information to be displayed. Also the ability to scan a myki card via the NFT on your phone has gone wrong, making it a manual process to enter your myki number to check a balance or load funds. Before the last update, this app worked really well and was really helpful.

Aaarggh! Useless when there is a disruption. Suggests alternative services that aren't running. Even the standard timetable is incorrect. What's the point of an app that doesn't reflect the actual timetable. This doesn't even match the screens at the station platforms.

It works... kind of. It doesn't give you all available options, and there's no way to tell whether a bus/train is late, or completely cancelled. Timetables are all over the place, inconsistent, and buses never run on time during extended peak hours anyway. It's a starting point, but check suggested trip timings for yourself.

It was working well enough for me until recently. I used to see all the next trips in one screen in the Favourites screen. Recently, that next trip has disappeared and all I can see is my list of Favourites. In order to see what is the next trip for each one, I have to tap on an entry, say 'Bus xxx', then go back and tap 'Tram yyy' etc. All the info use to be shown in one screen. Someone must have decided it was too helpful and removed it. My current (hated) version is 4.9.1

does what it says on the tin. mega glitchy though. it gets pretty frustrating when you're trying to keep track of where your tram or whatever is and the updates just aren't updating. also when there's a disruption it doesn't tell you in the app what the disruption specifically is and if it will affect your journey, you have to go to the website and then work it out yourself. minor thing i know but it gets annoying

A feature that this could benefit from would be an alarm function associated with the Next 5 display for a stop. Here, you are alerted whe a transport service is due to arrive within a certain time like 10 minutes so you don't need to wait at the stop for too long. Another feature I would like to see for PTV is real-time tracking of replacement buses or coaches for train or tram services. This is so that these replacements aren't treated as second-class citizens due to some trackwork.

Not blaming the app, app has so many good functions, but can the drivers update their real location on the app even if it's delayed? instead of just leaving the passengers waiting and not knowing when it's coming? Often I need to transfer a few times on one route. If I know one of them is not arriving in time, I can change to alternative routes. However so many times there was no update and made me wait until I had to call a taxi, then why do I spend so much money on your super expensive PTV?

Constantly logs me out of my account. Wants me to use my Google account email to login, but user names aren't email addresses so that doesn't work either. Doesn't work with a password manager because the Google account popup comes up again any time the app loses focus while logging in. Plus it somehow doesn't work with the gboard password manager integration either.

It's a good app. I use public transport every day and it works well for me. I have notifications turned off for almost all my apps so can't comment on how well they work but for figuring out if I need to run to the tram or where is the best place to change it's easy to use. I like being able to set all my frequent stops and routes as favourites that are easy to access on the homepage

The live feature does not work! I was waiting at a bus stop watching the live feature, making sure I wouldn't waste my time waiting. I get there and it says the bus will get there in 3min. then a couple minutes later it updates to 17min! ..... no bus.... not happy. More General: the directions are not helpful. even though Google maps doesn't have live information, it recommends routes that are usually 10-15 min faster with less transfers. I was expecting this app to be a lot better...

Does the basics. Could be better. Ideas: 1. When a journey is selected and you can see the map in the top half of the screen and the stops in the bottom half, allow the layout to stay the same and introduce the ability to scroll through the stops while still seeing the map in the top half 2. Temporarily "save" a journey as "the journey I am currently on" so you can use the rest of the app and still go back to the journey and view where your next stop is, what time the next connection is etc.

Don't waste your downloads. Can't accurately provide any useful info. Bus tracking for buses with GPS linked to the app are so unreliable that the bus can be shown as leaving a stop only for it to show up 10 minutes later. Trains show up as on time when there's works happening and stations are closed. No ability to show rail replacement buses. You'd be much better served by having an argument with train station staff, asking them to do the bare minimum of their jobs and providing a timetable
