I can't really review any part of the app but Snapshot which is just frustrating. I use hands-free Bluetooth and constantly get dinged for phone use even if I don't answer. It has marked hard brake which I completely disagree with. Lately, several trips (sometimes for days) aren't even recorded. And lastly, if I am a passenger in someone else's vehicle, i have to go into snapshot and change status to passenger. If my premiums are going to be determined by snapshot, then it needs to be accurate.

gave me a second chance at lower payments vs my old auto insurance. They wouldn't renegotiate my payments but progressive cut that bs in half and hell yeah I'm feeling better about it! The only problem I have is the snapshot, I wish there was an easier way of turning it off when I'm a passenger or don't plan on driving at all. its tedious to go back through my trips just to correct them but maybe it's just better like that I don't know I just feel like it can be a smoother process.

For having your insurance information available, this is a great app. But the Snapshot is trash! It constantly said I was hard braking. Interestingly, the company I switched to now doesn't say that. Tells me it's the app, not my driving! In the end, I had a high score, but still, my rate went up. What's the point of them tracking me for 6 months just so I can pay more? Went with another company whose app works. After just two months, they say I'll get a better discount on my renewal.

I'm using this app mostly for Snapshot, and it was off to a great start at first. As of late, it's become selective of when it lets me modify a trip where I was the passenger or driver. In other words, I could've been the passenger, but it tracks me as the driver and won't let me change it otherwise. This isn't for every trip, stangely enough, but it definitely should be fixed.

I was using this app for a long time and I started to notice that it would turn itself on after I turned it off. So for those who bought into the myth about letting the app add another discount for "safe driver", this is why you are assumed to be driving and using your phone. I tried to find any degree of transparency in their terms of service and it doesn't explicitly state they are doing this. Of course, Progressive makes you use their app for everything.

The app often says I used my phone while driving when my phone is in my purse on my passenger seat for the whole ride. I wish they would improve that or stop tracking phone use. I'm tired of seeing that I used my phone 6 times when I didn't even look at it, much less touch it. Very frustrated. I think I might have 5 stars if the app worked right.

The App should not record any "phone use" while someone is parked and stationary! Where's the logic in that? What's the point then in pulling over and STOPPING to use the phone if you're STILL going to be penalized? Might as well just use your phone while you're driving then. Instead of being rewarded for good driving habits the App makes sure you're penalized. Worst. App. Ever.

Constant battery drain. I have to force close it all the time, but then snapshot stops tracking. For example today, the dumb app ran for 9 hours straight and used 13% total battery. I drove for 30 minutes in total today. Such a joke. EDIT: still an issue. Sitting completely idle on the phone without any driving can use up to 8% in a day.

This app does not work. I have uninstalled it. reinstalled it. 35 years of driving experience. No tickets, no accidents in 20, 30 years. Why you need my physical activity turned on 24/7, full access to all of my files and media, my contacts, my location with the highest accuracy 24/7 doesn't make sense. why not just when I'm driving? What I pay should not be the based on my physical activity or my personal files and pictures. Or who my contacts are. Where I go, how fast or slow, my brake usage

Awful ap. It is nothing more than gimmick advertising. The ap records phone use, when it's in my pocket and getting notifications, as a negative event, and I'm hands free besides. Also records normal breaking for a light or to avoid hitting someone who cuts you off as an event. It lies about discount, despite great driving records rate has doubled in one year, not gone down.

The Snapshot feature is a safety issue. It incentivizes breaking less, and now I second guess myself when I do require hard braking to avoid collisions. It also doesn't give you a chance to justify the false reports it gives, like it saying the driver used their phone if the passenger actually used their phone or if hard braking was used in the course of defensive driving to avoid a collision. It also doesn't let you go back very far in its history to change when you're a passenger.

The app is fine, but Snapshot is a wreck! First of all, it's impossible to get a good score with snapshot if you drive in a city. There's too much "hard" breaking. The phone app killed my battery in a short trip. It even eats battery when you're not driving... Just don't do Snapshot. Other than that, the app is pretty okay for just using it to see your Proof of Insurance and whatnot... Snapshot is a safety hazard and a scam to get you to pay more and claw back the low initial premium.

The app is good engenral, it can do everything. Rating of 1 solely on the snapshot feature. The feature is as bad as everyone is complaining, I just wanted to add that it recorded the phone use while it is still locked, and stored in the console. One good thing, the app let me choose that I wasn't the driver, not cool. Another thing is the hard break, really 7 mph counts as 2 events, and 8 counts as 3. Some time it is needed to avoid running the red light or hitting someone that just cut u off.

I love Progressive. I've been with them for about 4 years now and never had any problems at all. They're very helpful, professional, and courteous when I do have to call in. And, whatever my issue was, they assisted me with resolving it and I always hung up a very satisfied customer. Thank you Progressive for being the outstanding professionals that you are. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my insurance needs. You are truly Awesome!!!🤗❤️

Purely rated on Snapshot. If vehicle is running, it's collecting data. I use to start vehicle then turn Spotify app on phone on & would count against me. So now have to do app, then start car. Also, need option of passenger is messing with phone, not driver. My passenger was picking the music & it assumes I am. Add option of "passenger using phone, not driver" Plus I was on a call, got into car & it went to car system while hadn't moved at all; counted it against me. Needs work!!!!

The Snapshot portion of the app is terrible. It is unreasonably sensitive to "hard" breaking, which has unsafe side effects like incentivizing the running of borderline yellow/red lights. It also doesn't allow you to change the status of a ride from "driver" to "passenger" after a few days have passed, which causes major issues for those who use ride-sharing apps and public transportation frequently because of the bad marks given for phone usage and "hard" breaking.

The driving monitor is better than others used but it keeps dinging me for phone usage when I turn on the app to let it monitor me. That's not right. It should track fon usage after 30 seconds to let me put down the phone I'm not even driving when I turn it on and still tags an issue. Fix this bug please. Very annoying for people that strive for flawless scores.

Snapshot feature is not great and needs improvements. A big complaint is the app logging me as using my phone when I listen to music or a podcast. My streaming service of choice is synced to my car stereo and auto connects as soon as the car starts. So I now have to unsynch my streaming and listen to the radio if I don't want to get dinged for being on my phone. Meanwhile, I'll now be distracted by the stereo, changing stations every time a commercial comes on. This is counter productive.

Good app except for the phone usage on the snapshot. I listen to music off my phone through Bluetooth almost all the time, and it has been marking it as phone usage. I went from 5 to 3 stars. I'm having to mark the majority of my trips as not the driver because of this. It doesn't reflect your driving properly since I have to do that. They really need to fix that feature.

The Snapshot registers phone use when my phone is in my pocket while driving. It also thinks I'm touching it if I put my phone in my cupholder. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to put my phone so it doesn't think I'm using it when I'm not. It is nice, though, to have everything accessible in the same app. Our previous insurance used two separate apps for policy info and driving tracking.
