I had no problems with this app for a long time. I have lost a bunch of movies lately and have had a hard time logging on to it regularly on my Galaxy A01. The phone is a year old & packed too full of apps, so it may be my phone partially, but I mostly have issues with Privary. I still use & like it, but won't trust it on that phone for movies or reliability logging in.

Great app, the five stars are for the function, UI, and general ease of use for the app itself. The ads can be excessive only because sometimes they are videos, before they were just pop-ups and weren't very disruptive. But, the app itself and great considering its free. The ads don't ruin the experience for me, I understand why they are there in a free version and can accept their existence. But I just wish they were never videos as they can be disruptive to myself and others around me (I use this app during meetings and have been caught off guard)

It works well at the privacy part, but has some annoying issues While there is a search feature, it has bugs, and stops working after you have viewed 1 inage in the search, reverting to presearch layout When loading in photos, the order is scrambled. No matter which order you organize them, they are scrambled. Date, name, whatever, it gets re arranged completely.

Over the years, I have used a lot of photo and file vaults; but this one is the best! 5 Things make it that way. 1) Easy to setup, use with lots of custom features. 2) Numerous file extensions supported. 3) Excellent App support (Thanks Markus!) 4) Can be setup on SD Card and 5) Top notch encryption! All these features make this app, WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU PAY FOR IT!

Edit: previously I just complained that they added a cap to the maximum files along with un-closable ads that made this program terrible unless you spent somewhere around $165, but now it is even worse. I was clearing out my phone when I found this apps folder where it stored things, I was curious so I clicked on one of my videos and said open with the standard Samsung video player and it worked perfectly. They're just changing the file extension, no encryption unless that's premium now too lol.

I've used this app for years now, even purchased the "upgrade" to allow cloud backup when I first downloaded the app. Now, with the latest "update" the dev has switch to an ad supported/subscription model with no regard for customers previous purchases. I can no longer add files without "upgrading" (paying) even though I'm storing these on my device or paying for my own cloud storage. Pure cash grab. Contrary to what the dev responds, they did change the model and added TONS of ads. Dishonest!

Its a pretty good app, but some tweaks could make it better. Like importing files with a notification to keep the app running in the background to import. Or an ability to disable the swiping up or down in photo viewer from exiting the photo viewing, since if you dont swipe perfectly left to right it backs you out. I'm encountering a glitch when swiping quickly between photos, where it will show a photo from a few photos back. It's a good app, but feels like a beta.

Edit: there is now an ad that you cannot exit, even after more than a minute of waiting. Even force stopping the app does nothing. What the f?!? Are my pictures just inaccessible now? Disgusting. This app was great for the first couple days till I was forced to watch ads when going from one picture to another. If there were only banner ads after logging in that would be great. Or if there was a premium version. Uninstalled.

Advertisements make app useless (literally). No matter if viewing image in landscape or portrait mode, puts banned about a third of the way from bottom of image. What's the point of viewing an image if I can't see it due to an advertising overlay? Then, randomly, full screen ads pop up. Some are loud video ads. Very annoying. If I can't view an image due to ad overlay or due to a full screen ad, what's the use of the app? Ads should be below the image, not on an overlay of the image being viewed.

Performance and aesthetic hitches stop me from giving a 5 star review. No option to adjust the color scheme for the 1 (one) accent color at all. Also no options for text. Would love to be able to carefully cultivate each album with customizable text color, position, size, font etc. Also videos show their name in a little gray bar with no option to turn that off; the thumbnail is good enough enough imo. The organization breaks when importing & changing folder names incl. reselecting album picture

If this app fixed the bugs regarding its ads, it would be kinda alright for a freemium app. It had an ability to let you put files in past the limit by watching an ad, but it doesnt give you the option like 99% of the times I've tried. The ability to watch an ad to stop ads for 5 minutes should apply to all ads, including the one that occurs EVERY time you open the app. If those bugs were fixed and changes made, it'd probably be something I'd reccomend.

Best hide app, I have used several apps that claim to hide files however they only change the extension of the file so that it does not appear in apps that search for files based on their type. They also move the files into a sub directory of a system folder without changing the file name. When plugged into a computer these files are easily found and opened. This app totally hides the files. Worth the cost.

Only lets you encrypt once and then anything you want to add after you have to pay. It's expensive. If you change your mind and decide to decrypt everything it dumps everything in a single folder, completely destroying your original folder hierarchy. Good luck sorting your thousands of photos and videos into the right folders again. You can select an option to preserve the folder hierarchy during decryption. But that's a premium feature. The ads are also outrageous.

I have no problem with a free app suggesting upgrading and having ads play every once in awhile. What I don't appreciate is having ads play every five, and sometimes less, photos in which are now unskippable. It ruins the users casual scrolling. Also having an unnamed limit to what you can store, even when other files are deleted, is jarring and inconsistent. And no, I'm not saving thousands of images to hit the max. It's far less. I'd recommend showing the number cap at least. Uninstalled.

I understand & appreciate that the app creators would like us to use one of the paid versions, but the proliferation of nonsense ads is still quite annoying. Otherwise, I have no problems with this app, it does exactly what I chose it for, which is keeping personal photos private. However, as of May 2021, this app no longer permits me to import photos unless I purchase the premium edition. I am not willing to be browbeaten into purchasing your product. I will be looking for another app.

Excellent, stable application with no unnecessary gimmicks. Can hold a large number of files optionally organized into subfolders of your chosing. Very responsive developer. You can choose to have files stay encrypted only on your device, not in the cloud. Cost of a one-time purchase for full version should be balanced against potential damage from lost or compromised files such as financial information.

TERIBLE EXPERIENCE The sd card option won't work, so I read the help section on that it is written " once this is activated privary wont use the internal storage any more" so even if it was working then I had to have the SD card on the phone to use the app. so I canceled the subscription right away but no refund!! said I can use it for a year, which I don't need. by the way I forgot to mention when you want to upgrade the fee is shown as a monthly fee but they charge for a full year!!!!
