Increasingly the functionality of this app is reduced in favour of the costly Premium subscription. Currently only newspapers are available without Premium, plus some very rare, local magazines. No advance warning of new limitations.

When I switch back from a news item to the feed it shoots right back to the first item at the top on my pixel 7a. Very annoying. Tried uninstall and re-load to no avail.

The audio playback feature is lacking big time. Almost all of the articles can't be read. Will this feature ever be fixed? I like to listen to the news while I'm busy

Tried the £10.99 subscription model, disappointed that some magazines incur an additional cost and limited to reading on only two devices. In order not to pay any future costs cancelled my subscription, at which point I lost the ability to read any more publications despite having the credits to do so. Very petty and shortsighted that they do that, will certainly not subscribe again.

Has something changed in this app. I had it on a few devices with no problem and now I can't sign in only on my phone. I try to put my library number in and just keeps processing. UPDATE Thanks to Laiza I am up and running again..thank you so much.

The idea is great - thousands of publications from all over the world in your device. But the app is unstable, prone to crashing 1 out of 5 times and sometimes freezes when trying to open a publication. I'd never pay for this in the current set-up, but it comes 'free' with my library membership and to that improves my opinion.

Great concept but the app must be able to store data on an sd card, or external memmory. Internal memory is clogged up enough as it is with "system" files. Unfortunately I have to delete the app now as it prevents me from doing security updates. Edit: Settings-General-DataStoragePath work. Thanks

Fairly easy to use, the main problem is when re-establishing my account as part of a public library plan. The app is so focused on signing you up as an individual customer, it doesn't give you the option of refreshing your library based account. Through trial & error I've found that you need to sign-out, and immediately sign back in again. The number of publications - available to me from throughout the world - is truly amazing.

Lots of foreign magazines! If you are learning a foreign language this is the best app to find magazines in French Portuguese Arabic and a lot of foreign languages. Large selection. There is a subscription but you also have the option of buying individual issues which I love.

Oddly, my previous review disappeared, which was about the inability to take a screenshot for something as benign as a cross word puzzle when having a library card providing access to the actual physical copies. Now, to add to that, some publications can't even be read, although again, part of my library subscription. Claiming to be unable to download at high resolution, it actually only shows unreadable small previous and actual readable content isn't available.

I have contacted you a number of times on this (via email as well) - Library access being revoked every week or two makes using the App extremely frustrating. It is clear from other reviews that this is a major problem & happening for a long time. It is then extremely difficult to reconnect with Library card access and can take days. There is no need to ask me to email you again-Hotspots are on, Uninstall/Reinstall has been done etc. There is a glitch somewhere that needs to be resolved. Thanks

Revised 12/1/2019: Upgraded from 2 to 4 stars. Thanks to developers responding to my earlier review, the issue has been resolved. I'm actually enjoying the app daily now. The problem stemmed from not having Hotspot turned on. My mistake, but it also wasn't made clear that this MUST be used even when home on WiFi. Original review (edited for space): Was excited about this app. However, even as a library patron, I'm not able to access publications without a paid subscription.

Totally Unreliable. Sometimes it works just fine. Then one day, it just stops downloading issues. Sometimes it says it doesn't recognize me. Other times it says it's unable to establish an internet connection (when the internet is working just fine). Contacted customer service several times and each time the answer is: "Try uninstalling and reinstalling." I do, but it never gets better. It's frustrating because you just can't count on it. Every day is an adventure.

I installed the app, after the installation, clicked on open. After a minute of hourglass activity, "Device authorization failed" error showd up. 4/19/2020 Edit: Developer told me the error was due to system outage. This morning, I installed the app again, using the promotional link which was supposed to give me 2 months of free access. Program installed, and worked properly. Support was excellent to fix the problem.

This app was the 'bees's knees' for years. But it no longer works on my Onyx Boox Max2, thee best device on the planet for reading newspapers (hands down - bc it is like the actual paper experience). I tried everything. I even factory reset my device (a big pain). I have spent 2 days trying to get it to work. Everytime, I get a different error message. They tried to assist, but failed. Onyx tried too. It has problems. I highly suggest not installing this.

Good app and because I am using it through a public library, it is free and for paid for premium publications. But sometimes I download a magazine issue and it says it is finished downloading with a big tick. Then I go back to open an issue to read it and I find I still have to wait for pages to download for maybe 10 seconds or so before I can view them.

No longer able to get the print version of my local paper delivered so the e- edition was my only choice, which was fine for reading the paper. Problem is the crossword puzzle, which was a deciding factor for subscribing to the paper can no longer be screenshot to print out the puzzle as there's no other option for accessing this feature. I'll finish my paid subscription to the paper and cancel it and press reader if screenshots are no longer available.

The app works fine for what I need but it would be nice to be able to highlight words or sections. I like that it can read articles. It would be great if you could stop and pick up listening where you left off or go back to post of the article and play from the but it will only let you start the article from the beginning. One's in a while it starts downloading a publication but doesn't finish the item for whatever reason. Then last it will keep trying every time I open the app, sometimes months after the item was published. Other than that this app does what I need.

This app is simply terrible. The layout is just bizarre. Navigating to a particular newspaper is confusing. The horizontal layout seems designed for a tablet. I just don't get it. Truly awful UX. After navigating to a publication though, it is pretty nice. The pages scroll through smoothly and the links to jump pages are very helpful. Some improvements on the navigation both inside and outside of publications could make the app extremely good.

This app doesn't really improve over numerous versions of updates. Despite using one of the latest phones with 12GB of ram and ipads, this app is still very buggy with the same usual faults with every updated version. In particular, the auto delivery feature can be very disappointing. From time to time the app "forgets" the list in your auto delivery list and requires the user to re-login to the app. Auto downloaded articles are frequently shown as not yet downloaded, usually requiring the u
