More About Powerlust: Action RPG Offline

Hardcore Action RPG offline game
Powerlust is a hardcore action RPG offline game. Based on old PC RPG games. Made by a guy who loved playing them.

Roguelike mechanics.

Procedurally generated dungeons. Optional permadeath. Skill-based combat.

Completely free, no p2w

Micro transactions are just donations with cool cosmetic rewards like camera perspectives (top down, TPP, FPP), camera filters, character customization and bloodbath mode. There are also some qol features like faster unlocks and a shared item stash.

Made by one guy

Hobby project made by one guy (me). I spent quite a few years on it already. No huge corporations involved, unless we count the games like diablo, that inspired it :)

No rigid classes

You can create your own class, nothing is locked, play as a fire mage wielding a two handed sword or a necro archer.

Discord community

Share your builds, get your questions answered and find people to play with on my discord channel! Link is in main menu. You can also use it to report bugs, suggest improvements and see the latest updates.

Tons of masteries, skills and builds

There is a vast number of options to choose from when it comes to spells, weapons, abilities and masteries. You can create a ton of builds and constantly find new ways of crushing your enemies!

Still in development

This game is under ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT, I have many updates planned for it. I'd appreciate any feedback, it will be a really huge help in further development. Check out my twitter for constant updates and share your thoughts via email at [email protected]

Current roadmap for future updates

- Story mode!
- Legendary items!
- Sound/Music redesign.
- Dual wielding.

Features:

- action RPG
- skill based gameplay
- offline game
- hardcore permadeath mode for roguelike fans
- procedurally generated dungeons
- gamepad support

If you're looking for a roguelike action rpg offline game give this a try!
In short it's a diablo like with skill based real-time combat, looting, RPG character builds, procedurally generated dungeons and roguelike style permadeath.

Really good game. A bit repetitive right now, but pretty deep customization system. You start out with limited choices in terms of starting class, but it matters less and less as you progress in the game and you can make essentially whatever kind of character you want. All in all it's clearly a (totally playable and enjoyable) work in progress, but it's totally worth a play. Haven't run into any kind of annoying paywall yet and the dev seems to genuinely care about the project.

Movement could be tightened up, possible to cause the character to automatically move to the next target. An explanation of the color codes of the gear where you can see it when buying or selling to the trader, all in all seems to be pretty good start, hope your able to make some upgrades down the line, im satisfied with this game, I've Uninstalled about 6-7 games, looking for the one that suits my playing style: single, story line , Cadre of readily available upgrades to all different facet.

Pozdrawiam Bart, you have a great game here. Definitely feel the inspiration from Diablo (even font is similar on loading screen). 3D physics and ragdoll, slow motion kills is a nice, unique feature. However, it is lacking quality music and sound effects. After playing for some time, the game is too quiet, and I become award of that, so the immersion is broken for me. Also, I think it needs some dialogue for the townsfolk. Think of the old man in Tristan; even something like "Hello there!" :-)

I love the animations, this game is absolutely one of the best, all I can suggest is I know there is already alot of skills and what not but, when you hit the grandmaster level for something, I would love to see more like.... Like how you get 7 or so skeletons to shoot with you ( looks super epic ), I would be much more likely to try to get to grandmaster if the outcome was something as epic as the skeletons! And maybe more spells! :)

Excellent game! There's not much of a tutorial that goes into great detail but not hard to figure out. Especially since you can change class and reset masteries very easy which minimizes the need for more than one char. Free to play with the option to make purchases but you can still progress easily without them. This game is truly for anyone. Most importantly the dev cares about the game and updates it still. Doesn't force ads but there are incentives for it.

Great early/1.0 version of game. Classic hack n slash, diablo 2 style, w the variety and blending of attacks and magic of like, magicka wizard wars or closer to Parh of Exile perhaps. Great, quick time suck though, until story and other modes are polished it's basically an infinite random gen dungeon crawl though... but, I mean, that's 99% of what we do in diablos, poes and the like, right?

Really fun game. Easy to control and lots of quests to do. No pop-ups. Great graphics and equipment to both equip and use,or sell. I only just started but have leveled up quite a few times and can't wait to play more. Finally you have put out a great,(underline great!) game that doesn't require a Internet connection. Thanks so much. I will definitely give it five stars and also give five BIG stars to all who made it. Good job! I'll be watching for more game from this developer an tell my friends

I just started playing yesterday, and I can't believe that the game is mostly free to play! Bart has made Powerlust completely enjoyable to play. I have one problem with the game. The first one is with the control of the joystick. It is a small red dot surrounded by a large black circle. I suggestions are to get rid of the black circle and make the red dot a little bigger and move it closer to the left side of the screen.

So far, the game is incredible! For one guy to do this, you definitely feel that his heart and soul are in it. The game is immersive and fun. There are multiple, if not hundreds, of combinations of class mechanics to try. The marketing in the game is brilliant as well. Everything is free, and you just have to complete what are essentially mini quests to unlock the different classes. Or do you? You can choose ANY class and still be any other class in the game! Highly recommend! 100/100

Very reminiscent of the original Diablo. Only slightly buggy, but as far as I've played (lvl 9) the bugs have been aesthetic at best and assuredly inconsequential. I love very much the fighting system using the joystick as both directional and intentional. Bart, I want very much to compensate you for your hard work, but alas I am homeless and do not have the steadiest of incomes. Games like these get me through some very tough days. My words are naught but an IOU, but that's the best I can do.

I honestly love this game. I had to delete it from my old phone because of storage issues but it was one of the first things I downloaded when I got my new one. The only thing I would like to see, though it in no way hinders the game, would be information on what the requirements are to unlocking the other base classes...which could be there and I just miss it or it's painfully obvious and it's not clicking. Personally I like to know how close I am to unlocking stuff like that. Beautifully done.

Amazing game, it brings me back to the old days of playing Diablo 2 on the computer with my brother and just going through dungeons and having a blast. Love the freedom of customization and the gear is actually fun to loot. 10 out of 10. There are no pay walls or extreme loss in xp gain. It's what a real RPG should feel like.

Phenomenal!!!! It has a surprising ammount of depth and a unique look. I've yet to find a game that does things like it. It isn't perfect but it's a solid 8.5/10 would recommend. Edit from 2021 to 2024 now, the game is even better. There are zero forced ads, no p2w, you can play fully offline, and most importantly it's just fun. Imo one of the best mobile games to date.

Edited for clarity: my initial review is deleted due to irrelevant information. This game is absolutely fantastic. Story mode is amazing. The dev is great at what he does in taking in all information and using it to enhance the experience for individual playstyles. The story reminds me of Exiled Kingdoms which is an large step in the right direction. Absolutely a 5 star game and well worth the price tag if you want the extra content or to support the game.

Controller support...can this game play with non Xbox Bluetooth contollers? I went to the controller setup page and it let me only setup half the buttons on my 8bitdo controller, so it is unplayable to me. Edit: 5 stars for being responsive; I can tell you have lots of enthusiasm for the game experience. I don't have time to invest on the mapping, but what I'll say is that with many games, there are two main controller schemes, Xbox and everything else. Since mine didn't work I assume xbox.

The number of enemies is so low I dont think ive seen more than 4 on screen at once, usually its 1-2. Enemies also die in 1-2 hits. It just leads to an incredibly boring game. Densly packed enemies would make this game way more fun (more than just tougher enemies) and make skills actually matter. Bosses also die in seconds when using weapon enchant skills and/or spamming high damage skills. More difficulty options seems like a no brainer fix.

Bart!!! This is an excellent game for a mobile release. It's also dope that it has controller support and all of the controls feel so natural. I'm not sure how you feel about this statement but it really scratches my Diablo 4 itch (being that I just had to sell my Xbox series X bc of car troubles) while also innovating on what it's imitating (I mean that as the biggest compliment). I hope you continue to excell at what you do

It's a good game, I am enjoying it. Still needs some work. You need a run/walk button on the face of the game while playing it so you don't have to keep going back and forth from game play to start up. Also, naming your collectables like: gold, silver and helmet, shield etc. would be nicer, plus maybe a chance to be able to pick up or ignore, too would be helpful.

Wasn't expecting much considering most of what I have played so has been pay walled or lacking on game play. This game is actually pretty good. It feels like a ps2 game and it's game play is smooth and easy to get used to. Not many cosmetic options, yet I'm not bothered by it. I like the progression system. Levelling skills and spells. It's a nice game to have on my phone with a lot of potential.

Fun game with great graphics and gameplay, however I'm Stuck on the "great escape". I've done everything listed and, no idea how to advance. I've gone over the X on the level and no way to beat that level. The orc king is another one. I've defeated him and it still shows I haven't completed the task. Lots of bugs to work out here but it definitely has potential.
