Multiple bad experiences with Postmates. Most recently was charged almost $10 more than original amount and investigation found that items were vastly mispriced and I was charged for a combo when there was no option like that on the app menu. No drink included. Contacted customer service and was met with "That's the amount on the receipt so it's correct". One driver pressured me to give them a good rating by yelling it as I walked inside. Use Doordash, much better!

Postmates is probably the most expensive food delivery app. When I open the app, sometimes I would get a little pop-up with a promo code, but no more. Almost every menu has either the wrong prices, is missing items, or displays items the restuarant doesn't even have. You can order food and end up spending WAY more money than it tells you. Every other app does it right. There's no excuse. Just fix the prices on your menus, it's not hard. GET IT TOGETHER POSTMATES.

Really awful app. It basically lies about your order's status/whether or not anyone is working on your order (I think they use filler names). I have had my order cancelled so many times after waiting 45 mins+ only to find out it was never received in the first place. At best, the restaurant starts preparing food when the courier arrives, meaning the courier has to wait. I get the impression that the interface is unreliable for everyone involved: consumers, restaurants, and couriers.

I've made many many orders on Postmates and while many of them have been successful, a huge percentage of my orders have arrived late, completely wrong, or not at all. There is no customer service phone number to call. You have to either ask for help in the app or send them an email to get your issues reviewed. The refunds from them are slow if you want to be paid back on your original form of payment or quick if you choose Postmates credit. I think I'll start using other delivery services.

I don't know about anywhere else, but Jacksonville Postmates are terrible. About 75% of the time there is something wrong or missing and about 50% of the time the order doesn't come at all. Used to be decent and I had a monthly membership, but I've since cancelled and am moving to something else Their customer support is terrible, for order lost, missing or wrong they will offer your money back in credits + 8% as if that makes up for the hour+ that you spent waiting for delivery to begin with, let alone the time you will spend having to reorder. Absolute $hit show.

I placed an order and as soon as I hit the submit button, I clicked on the cancel order button so I could edit the order. ( less than 1 minute total) I then placed my corrected order 3 minutes later. I was charged for both orders. I tried to contact them but could not find a customer service anywhere. Only a help section of why I was charged. I have contacted my credit card to dispute the charges. I had also received several incorrect orders in the past. Will not use again.

Not for people on the east coast. I've ordered 5 different times and 3 of those times have had issues with the delivery person, the restaurant, or both. There UI is also unintuitive. Having subscribed to postmates unlimited also doesn't show which places charge a hidden service charge on top of the delivery fee. Going through postmates customer service was also a hassle. Trying to get an issue resolved took me 4 different tries with 3 different people, having to re-explain my issue each time.

UPDATE....Well after using postmates on a weekly basis I do still love the convenience of it but I have alot of issues lately. The first few weeks were great!! No wrong orders and prices were about the same. Recently though something major has changed. Now every time I order there's outrageous amounts being charged for "Tax and Fees" and this all started around the time I subscribed to Postmates unlimited for 10 bucks a month. Also months last 3 weeks every single order I have placed has been messed up. Either missing items or substitutions wrong etc. Every order and I've placed no less than 10 orders in the last 2-3 weeks. Please fix this issue!!!! I will pay more for tax and Fees if I have to so I can get dinner quickly without cooking lol. But if my order is wrong or messed up anyway that defeats the purpose. Just placed my first order and everything was great! Driver was super friendly and was able to tip through the app as well. I do wish we could tip the restaurant through the app though. All to go orders should leave at least a few dollars tip! Someone packed your order and made sure all was in there. They deserve a tip as well. Please add this feature!!

Used postmates for a few years but it has gotten worse over time. The good thing about this service compared to others is the extended selections of places to order from, the option to tip after the order comes, and a real live update view of tracking the driver. However, the service is outrageously exensive due to fees, the delivery charge is ridiculous, and instead of refunding mistakes they give you a credit.... i dont want to use the service again... and thats what they are hoping for. Not okay that we cant get our refunds back. Unless you really want to pay $15 for a very specific resraurant... its not worth it.

Does what it says just fine, however their policies regarding certain issues that may arise during or after an order need to be revised. for example, i spent half an hour speaking to various support staff before i got a refund for items i had ordered but not received, due to the store being out. my refund was met with a 9.99 delivery fee, where before, my delivery was free. only way they could sort that out was to give it back in delivery credit. all in all, not satisfied, now wary of using app.

The menus and prices aren't accurate which can and usually does mean you're going to pay alot more than menu prices listed. Example: My order was listed at $29 real menu price $36. I was expecting to pay $46 after service and delivery fees but ended up paying $61 because of the mix up. app has great potential but not knowing what you will be charged until after you commit to paying is a problem

I used postmates for the past year. And through the first half, it was good. Great in fact. I got the postmates unlimited because free delivery sounds great. Once that ran out, all of my orders started having no drivers, the app would regularly recommend restaurants that weren't open or hadn't been able to take orders. If you're looking for easy fast food delivery, look elsewhere. Because the lack of communication between postmate and customer is one of the many downsides to the app

There were a lot of good postmates, but inconsistency between them. Some wouldn't use their thermal bag and delivered cold food. Condiments were 50/50. And some wouldn't come to the door. The site is buggy and the prices variable. The great customer service kept me using the app. Towards the end, I noticed customer service grow a bit cold, then the policy change, which seems reflected in more recent reviews. At least 80% of my orders had something wrong, and that needs to be improved.

I finally had to delete the app and stop using their services after multiple incorrect orders, being charged way too much, and cold deliveries. I understand that things happen, but not nearly every single time. Update: I was contacted and credited so I decided to give it a go again this month to see if any improvements were made. I had a credit but my card was still charged with a temporary hold. Lol. I'll give an extra star because the customer service that reached out to me was very kind and understanding, but unless you want to be surprised by all these weird fees I do not recommend using the app until they've fine polished it.

Postmates Unlimited is a scam. When you try it out, they'll enroll & charge you for a year (without giving the monthly option) for the trial. If you don't catch the charge & use the service - too bad! It's a nonrefundable fee. A lot of vendors markup the price of menu items vs. their in-restaurant pricing or costs on other services. And even if you have unlimited, you still have to meet a minimum order price or pay delivery fees. Did I mention there's also usually a fee tracked into every order? Even with unlimited? And that the app seems to rarely work when you want it to? Only use if you love shelling out your money for an unreliable service.

The fact that they make you tip BEFORE you even receive your order is absurd. I placed an order for some pet store items and requested replacements if the items were not found. I gave a bigger tip since some of the items were bulky. The shopper apparently didn't find the basic items I requested, and also didn't bother to offer any replacements. I guess he only wanted to deliver one small item and keep the big tip. I couldn't adjust the tip after the order was delivered. Don't order from this app

Great service, but there should be a better way to resolve problems when your order is wrong or incomplete, which it is literally 50% of the time. That is usually the restaurants fault, I get that. But instead of a credit, Postmates should send another driver over with the missing item/corrected order. It shouldn't be so hard to get exactly what you've ordered. Having said that, it's super handy. If you haven't tried it, do! True decadence to have dinner delivered from anywhere, anytime! 😋👍

App keeps changing my address, never keeps my delivery instructions, changes my preferences for what the driver should do when they arrive, the "help" doesn't lead to customer service, and they're still set up on a tip system based on the cost of the food instead of distance and quantity. If the driver has to deliver lobster two blocks, the tip shouldn't be more than the person driving 20 miles with assorted soups.

It comes down to customer support. I put in my order for a certain restaurant & they delivered the wrong food which increased my order total (multiple times). When that was the issue customer support was able to remedy the situation. Now when it came to investigating & removing a simple $2.73 fee that was added to my order when it shouldn't have been, all of a sudden they can't find the fee & can't help me. Even after sending a screenshot of the receipt with fee. Removing app & never using again

Too expensive. Back when I could get a $12 meal from Burger King for $20 with fees and tip included it was worth it. Went to order that same meal today and it was $23 after "taxes and fees", before tip. Would be almost $30 for the whole order, over double the meal cost. Also, impossible to find a way to just contact customer support from the app when I tried to cancel U1 membership and was told I had to contact customer support to do so. Absolute scam, should be taken off play store.
