I was finally able to create my user, it took some troubleshooting and support from PosteApp team (thank you for the follow up by the way). It didn't work inmediately though, I kept having troubles to log in after creating my user. It appears that it takes about 48hs hours to be fully activated. I suggest that this information is provided in the confirmation email and/or through the app, so users know to expect this delay.

Simply Does not work! however, ironically I received a "noreplay email" from posta team asking for mi details, well how I woul be able to replay to a noreply mail? to whom? nonsense. using an foreign number neither Italian number! Waste of time! I've tried to use this app to create an Italian spid but this simply doesn't work. I've been trying from different devices but right after including the chosen password appears a generic message that something is wrong with your application. No sense.

Good god. Ridiculous app. I finished the entire process, fixing all marked errors along the way, and at the final submission I was told, "Si sono verificati degli errori in fase di compilazione," with zero guidance on what those errors were. 25 minutes of my life I will never get back, lost as usual to Italian bureaucracy and terrible UX/app design. Not sure what to do now!

The entire idea of SPID is a total failure with 3 levels of security that are a nightmare. And PosteID is a thorough nightmare. I've had to change my passwords several times, with various sites asking various levels of security that are absolutely confusing. The same credentials that work once, fail the next time. You remain blocked and are forced to change your passwords. Developers should also ensure that Postid works uniformly across all browsers on all sites that require SPID.

Completely useless on my Samsung S20+. CAn't complete the SPID process with a passport, and I reside out of Italy. The app crashes or restarts after filling your info, or after it takes a picture holding your passport. There is no message on how to proceed, there is no error number message, just crashes. Phone and app updated, reinstalled many times.

A total confusion over several accounts and passwords. You are forced to have one both for Poste ID and SPID while having a one general account could help save time and patience. You need three different apps to make one single operation, but this is the typical Italian way to make processes: tedious, complicated, slow, stressful, tremendously burocratic and absolutely anti-intuitive. Tremendous app, tremendous country. Old they are and old they will remain.

If you live abroad and need to register for SPID don't bother using this app, it won't work. I tried multiple times on the app (seen as it's meant to be the free way of doing this) and when I contacted customer service via email about my declined registration they said I had to call them to chat about it. Why they're unable help via email is beyond me. Waste of time, why have an option for Italian nationals resident abroad when it clearly doesn't work? Again, don't bother with this app.

the user should be able to change language setting of app to use it in English language. this would be useful for foreigners living in Italy or even tourists

The app was okay-ish but it doesn't work with international numbers (no OTP). I even went to the postal office and the system automatically included the Italian +39 with no option to override it. It doesn't seem well thought? I would assume very easy to include international numbers especially after Poste press release around Italians living abroad.

This app has a compatibility problem or a software bug. I have managed to use it just fine right up to the point where I need to record a voice message and my face needs to be within a circle. For reasons I cannot explain the app camera shows my face laying horizontally rather than vertically making it impossible also for me to record the voice message. I have used a very similar app in UK to register for Settle Status and it worked flawlessly.

It doesn't work when creating SPID: 1) It takes the picture of the passport automatically, instead of letting you take the picture and THEN checking its quality, which is annoying, but you can make it work after few attempts 2) when reading the NFC, it gets stuck in a loop: even after having correctly read the passport chip, and you have confirmed the info (DoB, passport number and expiry date) it starts again in reading it, without going to the next step. This is the BLOCKING POINT.

Where should I start? The NFC reading is just all wrong, have to read the passport like six times. The picture for confirming the face with passport is all wrong , rotating the image , distorting the image. The scan of cards is fine. It is really a struggle to take the picture of confirmation when the image is rotated 90 degrees and distorted to fit in the image.

Once every while you reset my password with zero notice nor reason. I keep track of my passwords really well, so I know it's your faulty system that does it. It's been the fourth time now I have to reset it, and guess what I have to do? Call a NUMBER to reset a password. A telephone NUMBER. Failure.

Frustrating! Many apps, acronyms systems that I am supposed to know, use and understand. Having posteID doesn't let me identify in posteitaliane before physically going at the office. To process a payment I had to go to the post office but there was no line... Not the right place to complain? Yes it is.

It's requires a code to login-in, the only option is to receive it by SMS, but the problem is that the code never arrives, and you will find yourself locked out. if you're living outside of Italy, has a non-italian number, and depends on English support, you're lost! They claim they have support in English, but that's not true, everytime I call and choose the English support, someone who doesn't speak English picks the phone! It should not be recognized as an Europe wide ID provider!

After entering all info, exactly as required, you just receive an email stating that they can not verify some information. No details on exactly what's wrong, no way to correct it. There was absolutely no thought put into the design and functionality of this app. Also, there should be some way of requesting assistance online other than making a call. Many of us who need to use an app to register for SPID are in different timezones, otherwise we would do an in-person recognition.

NFC Reading of the passport took some 8 attempts. The picture of the document under your face is transposed horizontally, making it very challenging to take the picture. Has the developer even tried the app before releasing it? Image recognition of the characters under the passport was hit and miss, took a LOT of attempts. Seems to have worked in the end, but the preview of the images was so pixelated that I don't know if it is actually good enough or not.
