really good app, it has helped me a lot when I forget some words in different languages. there is almost nothing bad about the app. overall 5 stars.

As a dictionary it's brilliant: plenty direct translations and synonyms as well as situational translations. However, the in app ads are ridiculously annoying. They randomly start playing with loud music rendering this app useless when used in the classroom. Additionally, it keeps crashing before even getting into the app.

Generally a good app with reasonable translations. HOWEVER, the superimposed full-screen ads make using it a pain, better is to say unusable. I don't mind the ad banners on the results page, which are clearly noticeable and spread out through the page but not hiding the content. But the full-screen ads make it unusable for me.

Not only can the app itself only be rented instead of purchased, all dictionaries require their own individual and separate subscription, too, for each and every one of them. This makes it an extremely expensive software to use, and if you do not feel like being milked ad infinitum, it is wiser to acquire an alternative that is not as keen on bleeding customers dry for something that hardly ever changes, such as language. Uninstalled and replaced with a superior competitor product.

Unusable. Used to be a very good app, but now it's just bad. Apart from ads blocking big chunk of the screen I also get commercial video playing after I search for a word, and after that it throws an internet connection error. Seriously, it get all those ads from the web, but it cannot search one little word? If I restart the app a few times I might get lucky and actually get the word translated, but that's too much. It's sad that devs ruin a perfect app with useless updates that ruin UX.

This used to be my go-to dictionary, and I have happily paid for the ad-free version for several years. Recently it basically stopped working entirely, I only get an error message that no translation was found, even though the app itself suggested the word while typing. This MUST be fixed quickly, I won't pay a subscription fee for nothing!

Very nice app and more over its free, although I found just a few words which weren't in the dictionary. I only can recommend this app.

Okay, I am trying to learn Lithuanian, since the language has few speakers not sure if it is accurate enough. However, since I know Italian it seems to be accurate in Italian

The words and the content in context that you can find in this is great, very many given examples. I would like it to be a bit easier to use though, since it won't allow double way search in the following sense: if i want to translate a word it must be from the specified language to the other and not vice versa..

Query revision is a bit wonky. 100% satisfied with the rest. edit: After the response I tried hard to find out what I took issue with: I think it was the lack of history (or suggestions from history on top?) for the small query panel after having queried from the main screen before. This is slightly annoying when going back and forth between translations and wanting to return to the original query. And expanded it's a blank page with just the query panel, so there would be enough space.

Good example of how to turn very good experience to embarrassingly bad. Was a good app before. Multiple languages support is its main strength, although some other apps show more detailed information. Now it is plagued with full screen video (lengthy, cheap, clickbait type) ads, which makes it pretty much useless for a serious user. Once the video starts you cannot close the app. Video ads put a strain on the mobile data plan, app response is getting slower.

I have only two problems with it. Firstly, It does't have pronunciation for the vocab separately (at the header). Secondly, there is no option in the setting to select only one audio to be played for exampled sentences, every time I have to choose among those 3 options appeared with pop-up. I think if the first one be fixed, the second one would not be a bother.

This app used to work just fine until last year. Have been using it for German-English. But lately, it just does not show results. 7 out of 10 times, I get an error message "cannot connect to the internet" even on the best of networks (Wifi and Mobile data both). Uninstalling this app for this reason. When a dictionary doesn't function when I need it, I don't need it on my phone. Another app, Verbs, is a far better one. 3 stars for when it used to be helpful during a language course.

It is a nice app. But the provided dictionary items are not always complete. Some items are only found when using the word, but not when using the provided translation. Even text on photos can be translated! That's awesome! A big negative point is that search results are not cached. Results fail to load quite often due to an unresponsive server even though the word has been search recently. I cancelled my subscription; the web version is much more reliable in terms of connectivity.

It's one of the best tools for learning a language with genders, like German. I actually love this app.

This is my new favorite app for languages versus using google. It can stay open, remembers my searches, and, like a dictionary provide other related usage in context.

Perfectly working app, no problems that I've encountered. I use it for German as I'm learning the language and it's become very useful when I don't know / don't understand a sentence, a word or just need very basic help on the gender of the word and how sentences are put together. This app with the German PONS Book has genuinely helped me and it's good knowing the developers are keen on giving a friendly and useful user experience!

An excellent dictionary showing the possible uses of words. I use this for individual words, but I still use Google Translate for sentences and phrases I don't know. One downside is that PONS has to restart every time you switch to another app, which is annoying when I'm adding a bunch of flashcards on my phone. But otherwise, really useful.

It's just awesome! I love especially the vocal translation: push button, speak, listen (and read) translation in different language - Done. Also good if you need to tell somebody something in their language. Or take picture of a text (in picture, etc) translate all text or only chosen parts. So simple. It also works to crossover to other available languages, just pick the next language. Tip for developers: for learning purpose it would be great to be able to slow down the spoken translation.

The app is perfect but since yesterday it has some problems with translations, often it doesn't find words and if it does, it provides just one translation without examples or conjugations as it was before. Please check the app to fix it. It was so useful 🙏
