They really push you to subscribe. I could buy a scanner from Amazon and program the frequency in and listen for free. They want $39 a yr to listen to their app without ads. With the free version the ads never stop! It loads one ad after the other non-stop sucking up your bandwidth. I also did not find an option to enter a specific frequency into the app to listen to my local dispatch.

I downloaded the app because another app stopped working. I received 27 notifications from the app in about 15 minutes of using it (none of which were even in my state). I can turn them off, but then I won't get any from my community. I can leave them on, but then I can't use the app because it stops every 31 seconds until I acknowledge each notification. On the plus side, the ads didn't have audio and gave me something to read while listening. But since it's unusable, I uninstalled it.

Can't beat Free. They try to trick U into thanking U have to purchase something. But if U just hit the X you don't have to. It says something about a 3-day trial Or two other options that are pay by the month subscription or a year subscription I believe. But U can just X out and it still works. I'm sure there's probably benefits to getting their subscription. But I'd rather just get the little bit that it gives for Free without having to pay. I would if I was more into it.

Needs clearer UI when asking for using the paid version. I initially didn't think there was a free option until reading some reviews. I'd recommend a "Maybe Later" button under the free trial and it would probably reduce the negative review count. The symbol clutter at the top of the screen and the lack of an X prior to navigating onto that screen contribute to the lack of clarity.

It's difficult bypassing all the payment options to get to the 'free' part. Nonstop ads. I wanted to listen to police scanners, not much going on at all, I tried the popular locations. I closed the app and immediately got a notification alert about something happening (not my state). I'm not the least bit interested in receiving notifications, can't find any option to remove that nonsense. Uninstalled

I've really enjoyed this app. One thing I really like is that whatever channel you listen to there is generally a description of the different frequencies, TAC channel etc., and often what the vehicle numbers relates to and even "10" codes and such. The ONLY thing I don't like is the way ads keep popping up specially if you want to change locations. I understand the need for ads but I wish they could be done differently. Like a bar at the bottom. If not for that I'd give a solid 5!

Truly like this app. Most scanner apps feel clunky and complicated, and finding the locations I'm interested in feels difficult to impossible. This app is the opposite of that. Extremely good UI: simple to navigate, finds the locations you want effortlessly, connects you to scanners that span the globe. You can save your favorites for easy access, and there's a conventional tab to go to and see what frequencies are trending. Great app!

Terrible app. It's been successful in connecting about 10% of the time. Most of the time it says "connecting", then it counts down and says "reconnecting", and continued to count down. This goes on and on. I'll use an app that actually lets me hear the police bands. Oh, and while it's trying to connect, it repeatedly shows inappropriate ads. No thanks.

I do love the app, though the ads can get annoying sometimes, they're not too bad (in my opinion) the main thing that is really annoying to me is that I can have the app closed (not running in the background) and have the notifications off, but it will still pop up a live random feed in my pull down bar and it won't let me close it. The other issue (though I don't know how much control you have over it) is that I was trying to find a scanner for Hardeman County, TN. But there isn't one.

pro tip... you dont actually need a subscription to this, AT ALL!!!! My friend taught me that there is a little "X" in the top left corner of the screen which you can press when the app boots up for the first time and requests that you purchase a "service package". The first experience I had with this app, I did the 30 day trial and then was out of scanner data from that point on :( after learning about this tip, I've since re-downloaded it, and enjoy an endless, FREE radio!!!

I initially loved the app. It did have a 2 minute delay on my local areas. Now it seems as though It's always off line. No I can't even hear anything on my local scanner. It does act as if it's up and active, however, there is no radio transmission screen locations et cetera. You still really enjoy this app now. It's now just a hassle, and I will be uninstalling. Because it doesn't fit my local need anymore. I also enjoyed the fact that I could change the monitoring to the area of my travels

Great app, easy to use, lightweight, organized, and works well when running it in the background. Only bad thing are the annoying ads. I understand it's a source of revenue but at least make them smaller, they fill up almost the entire screen and takes away from the experience. Please just shrink them down. Other than that I love the app, thanks!

I give it two stars because of the number of channels it gives you. However, a lot of the local channels are offline. The ones that are online, and you are able to listen to, will NOT connect. It keeps saying "reconnecting in __ seconds", and will never connect when the timer runs down. Fix the issue of never connecting, and it would be a good app.

Can only use via paid subscription, no free with ads option. And all the local emergency response units are "offline". It just continously counts down from 30 seconds to "reconnect", but it never does, just resets the counter to 30 seconds and begins countdown again. Then you have to go through the process to canceling the subscription that you never got to use in the first place.

The main thing I like about this app is the emergency/Breaking notifications from all over the country. Also, when possible you can find the HAM bands in the description of your stream, I thought that was pretty cool for us hams/preps. The audio is good quality, the stream has a small delay, so when you hear a key in it happened 40 seconds to a minute before hand. But that is to be expected when streaming a radio freq on to the web. EDIT Also, the adds are not super intrusive.

I'm wondering what I get for paying the $40 for a year that I don't get with the free edition? The ads don't seem to interfere with the scanning function at all. Also, even with premium (paid), it stops scanning all by itself. Sitting there, working fine. Then stops scanning.. 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♀️ I liked it while it was working... canceling now before my 3 day trial is over. Bummer

Plays annoying music occasionally, which won't stop even after closing app. No other app playing music, just residue of this app. Continues to play annoying music loop forever. Have to restart device to get music to stop. Update: developer responded asking me to upload screenshots regarding my issue. How exactly would I capture screenshots of a music loop that the app starts playing and that continues to play after closing the app? Like, it's audio -- how would I screenshot that?

It's a free app that atctually does what it says it will.. and it also allows you to record the radio broadcasts. The ads are of course a very unwelcome annoyance but they are not a deal breaker. This scanner app is an underappreciated, invaluable tool from which one can learn a surprising amount of "super secret squirrel" level intel about the inner workings and collective thought processes behind the increasingly bureau-like shade campaingns they are running.

Love it! My only question and problem with it is that it I can't get it to automatically scan locally. It will scan automatically, and I get reports for other southeast states. None from mine, and I need help to fix it, please. I can't find a setting for editing or list by priorities like your own state and cities first. Just a thought.

Solid performance with clear audio and helpful visual identification of sources as it scans, including a page of information about dispatchers being scanned on your chosen feed. Nice extras like push notices for parameters that you set to stay on top of rising emergency situations near or far. Handy lists of codes specific to the location being scanned included for quick, easy reference. Sleep timer. Map integration. Recording capability. And more. My favorite scanner app by far.
