LOVE this game. Since I'm always in a rush this morning, I feel like I don't brush as thoroughly as I should and this game ensures that I do in a fun and easy way. The instructions for brushing are very clear and the Pokémon catching mechanic makes the experience very rewarding. I hope more Pokémon are added in the future!!! But my husband has also experienced the gray screen issue and my friend's game often doesn't detect his face/toothbrush. May be because my phone is newer (the Note 10+).

As a Dental Hygienist I do not recommend this game. It's adorable and I love the concept, but it encourages harmful techniques. To get the game to recognize brushing I had to use very large strokes, about 4-5 teeth long - ideally toothbrush strokes should be the length of one tooth. It also encouges fast brushing, which combined with the very long strokes tends to make people use more pressure. This can cause permanent damage to teeth. I hope the game fixes this so I can recommend it.

Cute idea, rough camera at launch made my 1st time unplayable. I just tried it and the only place I can put my phone in my bathroom made it so I'm not standing super close. The camera kept losing my face even though it was in frame and I was brushing the whole time. Leaned in close at the end and it suddenly started working. Too bad, I'd brushed two mins already!

Honestly this idea is super cute, but we spend most of our time dealing with "We can't see your toothbrush!" Or "Brush faster!" We've been able to catch two Pokémon and that's it. We have all the stickers now, but this game won't actually pick up what's happening on the camera. If it worked better we'd use it more but I had to uninstall the game, it was just too frustrating after a while.

Gave two stars because it seems like fun game. Turned on all lights in my bathroom. Would not pick up my face. If it did pick up my face for a moment, it would drop it again as soon as I moved even a little. Tried all sorts of angles and places in the bathroom. My toothbrush is partially clear but there is plenty of orange on the handle. When it was working it picked up my motions fine so that's not the problem. Disappointed. Wanted to use to build a daily habit!

The first 2 weeks my kid had to adjust and we had a few tantrums but after getting used to it, she's now excited and loves to catch Pokémon! She loves the "hats" and thinks they're super cute, I let her choose which one she wants before we start. I like that you can change the time limit from 1/2/3 minutes. You can have up to 3 users. My ONLY issue is that there is no account to save everything. I had to redownload it and start from scratch. 3 months deleted in seconds. We're sad we lost them.

This is a wonderful little app. I have severe executive dysfunction and brushing my teeth is one of the things I struggle with the most, but this app definitely helps. It does seem to have a bit of trouble detecting the toothbrush and the brushing but other than that, it works as intended. Definitely works better than when it first came out.

My son really enjoyed brushing his teeth while playing this game and it's teaching him about getting the backside of them as well. I must admit, I've made myself an account and played it while brushing too.... Needs to add where you can tap the screen to take a photo, when posing with the caps, as screenshotting and taking a good photo isn't that easy.

I really really want to like this app but there are 2 major fixes that need to happen first. The teeth need to be in the top of the screen instead of the bottom. My daughter tilts her head down to look at the areas to brush and this causes the camera not to see her face. I also think a Pause Every X Seconds option would be fantastic so there can be a few seconds to spit or be coached.

The app is really cute and it encourages me to brush. Being ADHD, I get very distracted and something like this is perfect to encourage Dental Hygiene. I also enjoy how it won't let you brush back to back. It is a nice safety feature. ONE COMPLAINT: The camera does not pick up my brushing that well, so catching is a very hard thing to do. Overall, best health app for kids (And 14 year olds like me), especially with the nice addition of it being Pokemon affiliated.

New update finally let me "play" the "game", and overall: It's cute! Toothbrush tracking works pretty well and is a nice tool to incentivize brushing, but there's one problem: It doesn't take in account electric toothbrushes. The app wants to see you vigorously brush your teeth, which you don't really do with an electric brush. If there was a setting to allow electric toothbrushes to move slowly and still gain progress, that would make me happy since I can't really catch any Pokemon right now.

The app seems like it would be amazing for kids, the tracking is on the hand that holds the toothbrush rather than the toothbrush itself so once you understand that the issues with tracking go away, and the whole style and theme of the app is very, very nice! I recommend the app for anyone who is looking for an incentive to brush their teeth.

Very cute little app! I'm an adult but struggle a lot with depression, which makes things like brushing my somewhat difficult to muster up the motivation for, so this is a genuinely helpful piece of software. Brush detection needs a little work, and I'd love to see even more Pokemon added to keep up that positive feedback loop of catching new ones. Overall though, definitely recommended if you're a fan of both Pokemon and oral hygiene lol

I've had a great experience with the app, I've seen many people talking about not being able to catch pokemon, however i havent had that problem, I've played for 3 nights so far and I've managed earn(?) A master ball each time guaranteeing a catch. The one problem I've encountered is when you go brush you're front teeth it seems to always think I'm brushing too slow even if I'm brushing so fast it starts to hurt my gums. Overall I like the app and plan to continue to use it.

I really love this concept! Everything is great (although the face tracking could be improved- the hat often covers my eyes, but not a deal breaker) I have one thing I think would make a MASSIVE improvement and make me use this for a long time. A calendar feature! That keeps track of days you brush. Maybe a pokemon sticker on the days you brush? This would be 100% an improvement!!

Love the idea but sadly the tech just isn't there. :( The camera has a hard time picking me up while I brush my teeth and is very picky about where I am in frame. I end up having to prop the phone up on the counter and then brush my teeth looking down which creates a messy tooth paste foam after a minute and that just sort of.... drips out. A break to spit or a more relaxed system would go pretty far. I think after they tweak this it would go up to a 4 or 5 star but as of right now, it's just not there. Frustrating at best, disappointing at worst. I want this idea to work because it's cute and fun but it's more pain then it's worth right now. Please tweak and update, make it more forgiving with the brushing or improve the detection because either way it's 2 minutes of brushing teeth followed by a big let down because I "didn't brush fast enough" in the last 30 seconds.

The idea behind this app is great, but unfortunately it does not perform well. The toothbrush detection is highly flawed, and has serious trouble detecting that my kids are brushing, even though I'm watching them do it well. This results in them rarely catching Pokémon and getting very frustrated about brushing their teeth, which I'm pretty sure is the opposite of the intended effect. This app has good potential, but the sensitivity and difficulty really need to be fixed.

I agree with many other comments, the game is very fun, cute, and overall a nice simplistic way to brush, but the camera detection is annoying. I just finished brushing and lost a Pokémon bcs I didn't brush fast enough/too fast, and my arm hurts because its hard to satisfy the detector. I also think it needs a spit break, i spit way too much and have too much foam in my mouth. I feel that this could be a great app, but it definitely needs improvements

I downloaded this a while back but yet now decided to give it a try. It's super cute and setting the reminders have helped. I do have an electric brush no issues at first. As I used it more it started to, sadly, have more issues which is why I can't give it 5 stars. No matter how close I am it tell me to "come closer" or "can't see your toothbrush" so it can get annoying since that means the Pokemon can't be caught. Hopefully they'll fix this.

I really enjoy this app! I would fix a couple things, though. Toothbrush detention could be better. It says to brush faster and faster even if you are vigorously brushing. I also think it would be good to add a "spit break" at least halfway through the brush-time. A few seconds would be fine. It would give variety to the fun, too! Good app overall!
