It's fun and a great time passer. I love playing it but it can very challenging to the point that i give in and buy jewels to get passed a level i been on for weeks UPDATE: so i upgraded to a new phone and forgot to do the necessary thing to ranger my game over and we'd my old phone. So because they don't have cloud save, i have to start all the way back at level 1 with nothing. I had so many Pokemon it was ridiculous. So that is why i dropped my rating. Not like they care anyway.

Do NOT waste any money on this game - keep it strictly free to play, if you insist on wasting your time with this. Otherwise you're only throwing away your money. Paying does nothing to make the intentionally impossible any easier. The timed puzzles are the worst. A shame; this game could be great if it wasn't such a deliberate cash grab. Not worth the time, effort, or especially money! Just slap yourself in the face a few times and toss your wallet in the trash - it would be more fun.

Tried running it on my Galaxy S8 and the game screen isn't scaled properly. There is a large black gap at the bottom of the screen and the touch functions do not line up with the in-game buttons, making it unplayable. A real shame since I've played the game before on other mobile devices and loved it... Will update review when a fix is released.

Fun game. I enjoy the catching and special stages. 2 issues keeping it from 5 Stars. 1st, takes 30 minutes to recharge a heart. Way too long. 2nd, app closes automatically anytime another app is switched. Like if you check a text while on a level, it closes. And you lose your heart. Pokemon stats it's my issue and they won't refund hearts. Disappointed

After coming back from a long hiatus I'd think the game would be less buggy. But after a few games I decided to use a crystal on a competitive stage. Pressed "all done" to start the stage and it lags me out, using and losing the crystal without having me replay the stage.. my girlfriend also plays on her iPhone and is constantly forced off the app.

I really like this game. The biggest issue that i have with it is the heart system. I go to play the game and only get to have a few minutes of play and I'm out of hearts. I feel like it should be like every other match 3 game out there and not use up a heart when you beat a stage. If something like this was added or if the heart system was tweak just a little bit, i will give it a higher score.

The game is just a fun little puzzle game, but like most people say on their reviews, the chances (percentages) are lost likely tweaked. 5% chances are oddly easy to catch at the beginning, but as you progress, 25-35% chances are near impossible without using a great ball. They really are trying to make you spend money. It's a bit annoying since it feels like the players are outright being lied to. Best advice is to not spend money. Just receive the dailies! :)

The pay-to-win is ultimately what drove me away from this game. Having to use extra items to win so early in the game was discouraging as well. This game was really fun for the first few puzzle/battles, but as soon as you had to use extra stuff to win, I felt it slowly getting more maddening to even play. It needs some difficulty balancing so it doesn't drive new players away.

I enjoyed playing this game on the 3DS, so I'm alright with playing it on mobile. It seems fine in every instance EXCEPT for the sound. It may just be a "me" problem, but the music and sound effects are all wonky, sounding like a slow echoey glitch whenever there. That's my main reason for scoring three stars. Otherwise, not too bad of a game. At the same time, I'm not crazy about pay-to-win scenarios.

I love this game! To the point that I was willing to start over when I didn't save my retrieval code. However, I find the limited plays to be very annoying. Having to stop playing even if you finish all levels without fail is a dumb idea. I get that it is probably to keep kids from playing too long, but when one is bored, limited plays makes it hard to come back too. This just happened in pokemon café so I finally decided to come back and voice my opinion. Nothing will change, but I voice idea

Call me young, but this gives me nostalgia for my 3ds days. I haven't been able to play it in a while, so this is good fun. Exactly like how I remembered it. I do have a problem though, the audio is creepy. Maybe my phone is too old, but all the music and sound effects are slowed fown like crazy, so I had to turn them off. Which sucks, considering I really like this games music!

Let me start out by saying I am a huge Pokémon fan, and I really enjoy most of the games. This game starts out easy, but it quickly becomes extremely hard to catch, or even beat Pokémon without spending coins. Also, it takes way too long to get coins without spending real money, and only being able to do 5 battles at a time kills the fun.

Pokémon Shuffle is a fine puzzle/match-3 game on its own, and the presentation is very charming and sweet. I love the notion of catching and collecting Pokémon which you can then use in these puzzle "battles." My biggest issue, however, is with how limited the playtime really is, given that a heart is consumed for each level, is not replenished even if the level is won, and only regenerates after ~25 minutes. It's difficult to enjoy to the fullest when only 2 levels can be completed each hour.

The game is fun but unsupported. I've come across many bugs. Lost my accounts many times. Put money into this game. Enough to buy a few new games. I still like it. I pace myself. Events are recurring. There are definitively optimal strategies. Losts of grinding. And then it feels like it cheats sometimes. It's a game with a formula.

Doesn't work on Galaxy S9. There is a 1 inch gap at the bottom and you need to tap 1 inch below where you want for the game to register it, it took me multiple tries just to enter my age and hit OK. Completely unplayable. Edit: I found a workaround. Immediately after opening the app there is a button at the bottom for a split second to make it full screen. It took several tries closing and reopening and tapping madly, but now the game seems to work. This bug still needs fixing.

It's a bit slow at first, but once you get rolling it can be pretty addictive. I dislike the limiting factor of the heart system, which only lets you play X times a day and then you have to pay. I'd rather be able to play as much as I like and be motivated to make in-app purchases in other ways. Also the music gets repetative after a while. New music pls!! But overal it's a pretty fun little game.

**if anyone has a 'newer' phone and can't click the agree button, it's because the hit box is glitchy. try doing it in pop-up mode. it worked for me.** the game is very cute and fun to play. I've played it on my 3ds also, but i like it better on mobile. it runs smoothly and the difficulty increases over time. eventually you may have to start paying for items to help with each puzzle to win, but it's mostly luck.

Coming from a player of the 3DS version, it's a bit of a mixed reception. The prices for the boosts increased a bit to compensate for the easy payment stuff for those that do, but otherwise it's a bit of an increase. I think the breaking points are the required capture at certain points (minor) as well as the absolute tease of the Super catch opportunity REGARDLESS of whether or not a player can purchase a Great Ball. I know others like this version, but I'll likely stick to the 3DS one.

Quite honestly, it's one of the better casual games to have on the go. I haven't nor do have I ever felt the need to spend money on this app. The only reason I can imagine you do is if you're on it 24/7. If you're ever just waiting in line or tired of scrolling and just wanna have a little puzzle distraction, this game is great!

The game is still fun, what, 7 years after release? It's addictive and genuinely challenging in some areas. I do have an issue with the lives system. I know it is a feature to limit a child's playtime, but I would prefer a full "lose lives on loss" system. There's plenty of pokemon, the sprites are cute, and that's all you need really.
