The queue function didn't work. I'd add podcasts to my queue, but the app would just play the finished episodes of the podcast in order. Also crashed too much. I know the app is free, but having to see a full page ad everytime I pause the player is annoying. A TERRIBLE substitute for Google podcasts, but not as bad as YouTube music.

The app has stopped loading new episodes for my subscribed podcasts. Thought I found a new home after the Google Podcast decommission but I guess I'll keep looking. Update - Still experiencing issues with the subscribed podcasts not updating even after going through the steps provided such as clearing the cache. The only way podcasts updated were by deleting all the subscriptions. Very responsive and helpful, however still flawed compared to Google Podcasts.

This PodcastPlayer WAS fine for 4 months but now stopped loading new podcasts. I am considering buying another podcast app to reduce listening to ads and have a reliable library. PRO: The ability to "mark as played" is reliable on this app. I like that this Podcast app has many play speeds to adjust in increments of 0.05 ( from 0.50--2.50). Adjustable rewind speed (press-n-hold). CONs: Pod labels list MB instead of run time. Poor search feature to locate specifics. No Zen feature.

Terrible app. Imported my subscriptions when the Google app was discontinued, and this app added a bunch of garbage to my subscriptions that for some reason i cannot remove. It's giving me popup ads in Chinese or some kanji script that i can't read, as well as adds in Spanish, which i also do not read. Some of those ads don't have an X to close them, so I'm left guessing which button closes the ad. It's free so I'm not complaining about the ads per se, more so the player functionality itself

Super laggy with annoying interruptions. I do not download podcasts,I listen live, but this player reminds me constantly the "the next episode had not been downloaded" and constantly remind me to optimize my settings and decrease interrupted streaming by letting it run in the background, which gobbles battery. I miss Google podcasts when I see the alternatives.

Easy, clear, excellent search feature, ads front-loaded. Search results stay up so you can choose multiple casts that fit your search. Two ads at start of podcast, but then 15 min of no ads. My only request would be letting me tailor the types of ads I get - for example, I don't really want ads telling me they'll "fix" parts of my body, especially since I can't use headphones in this context :-)

Update: I updated my review to 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1) the fast & very helpful reply from the developers, & 2) the one feature I wanted was already built in. I just didn't know it. Now, I'm absolutely in love with the app!! Original review: So far, it's a great app. One thing that would make it greater is either 1) make the length of time for the skip & jump-back buttons adjustable, or 2) make the jump-back button 15 seconds. It would make getting to where you need to listen easier to do.

Extremely poor integration with the Android ecosystem. Controls are not accessible from the lockscreen. Lots of pauses, glitches, and failures to play. The app advertises several other podcatchers, so I can only assume it's a honeypot to get folks to subscribe to a paid podcatcher. How hard can it be to build a podcatcher that does what it says??? RSS stands for "real simple syndication" surely the "simple" has not escaped everyone's notice.

Update: still a truly terrible app. Original review: Just got a new device and logged into my podcast player account... only some of the podcasts I subscribed to transferred over and it shows that I haven't listened to any episodes. Very frustrating. Such a pain to try to figure out which episodes I have listened to and which I have not. Seems like such a basic thing to have transfer over! So disappointed in this ap.

I had given a 4 star rating before, but my issue has been fixed. This app is fantastic. It has all the features I need. I am very happy. I moved over to this one when Google Podcast ended. Edited to add: After reading some of the other reviews I discovered that the skip ahead a go back time increments can be changed. This makes me love this app even more. Well done.

Transferred to this after Google podcast shutdown because it was the next non Spotify top pick. This app barely works often pausing the playback for audio from ads. It takes forever to refresh RSS feeds even though the notification will tell you it's a new episode out. Honestly only use this while driving and I've started to just go on my desktop for podcast.

Thought this was a cool app, but the ads are too intrusive. I'm fine with some ads, but not the constantly changing ads while a podcast is playing. When I look at my screen, I want to see what podcast is being played, not a constant stream of ads. Plus, hard to believe it doesn't contribute to battery drain. I miss Google Podcasts. :( I'll be looking for an alternative.

Tried this as a replacement for Google podcast. It's a fairly similar, simple app. Appreciate most- the dark mode. Appreciate least- the ads which are annoying (no I do not want to pay for ad free). It doesn't auto refresh so you have to pull down on the podcast tab (doesn't work on unplayed tab). Took a second to figure thar out. It's okay.

Massive amounts of ads ,one right after the other. Unintuitive interface hard to understand, I downloaded podcasts then got through the ads but they weren't in downloads but in another unrelated folder. It's like they want to make navigation more difficult so you just stumble around running into more ads. it started without my permission or knowledge to just download every new episode from my subscription list that I imported. it downloaded dozens of podcasts killing my battery

I love this app and I paid for a yearly subscription. It's the closest thing to the Google Podcast player that I have found. I am having a couple of issues though: 1. Sometimes, when I listen to a podcast, it rewinds back the podcast anywhere out of nowhere, so you hear a repeat. 2. I have to restart my phone almost daily as when I click on a podcast to check out the new episodes, the app gets stuck and keeps spinning, so no new episodes appear unless I restart my phone.

It works fine as a podcast player, if you can actually make it to the home screen. The problem is the ads that pop up before you're allowed to get there: they have a white background, and there's no way to close them, because, I assume, the X is also white. It's annoying and it makes the app unusable, unless you're lucky enough to get one without a white background. I also hated that when I first created an account there were ten podcasts presubscribed, and you have to unsubscribe one by one.

Too many issues. 1. the settings/functions are not intuitive and there is no FAQ page to get assistance. 2.The option to "contact us" just leads to a Share page, so the only way to get a response is to leave a bad review. 3. Every podcast I'm subscribed to automatically ends up in my Queue, but I don't want to listen to every episode of every podcast. 4. The playback randomly stops between episodes (I've cleared my cashe). I'd be happy to add more stars if these issues can be fixed.

I really, really like this app in a lot of ways, but I do have two big main issues. 1) it's very hard to manage or manually change my queue. AND since last week even I can't even change the order of episodes in the queue at all, which is a BIG issue. 2) I hate that it pops up huge obnoxious warnings every time I listen to podcasts without having downloaded them. I have unlimited data. Why does the app care so much if I want to use data to listen!?!?

I honestly hate this app, but I paid for a year of ad-free service so I'll have to stick it out. The queue doesn't auto play my podcasts, navigating from one screen to the other is a huge pain, I can't sign up for notifications of my favorite podcasts, it gives me data warnings for every un-downloaded episode, and it randomly turns off mid-episode at least once per day. Absurd. The *only* thing I like about it is that I can "favorite" certain episodes. I miss Google Podcasts so much....!

Is it good no its not is it some how the best option we have left looks that way. It's so much worse then stitcher or google podcasts but they're gone so stuck with it . Constantly bombarded with ads, downloads the next episode if and when it feels like so have to constantly check for new shows abd manually down load them. For no logical reason it plays from newest to oldest I can't find a way to change it so that's supper annoying. Overalll it technically works but thats about it.
