Has access to basically every podcast I wanted, however, the ads pop up at bad times and some have audio you can not mute. (Which, as you can imagine, is not great when you're trying to listen to something.) The ads seem to appear after a certain amount of clicks, but might also be time on screen related. either, when I'm trying to click to download a new episode, or trying to organize my list, random ads popping up takes away from an otherwise smooth experience.

Basic podcast player, without speed control. There are only a couples things that seem to be basic features for a podcast player. 1) Selection and 2) speed controls. The Podcast App has selection but you can only listen at normal speeds. I am a regular listener of podcasts and I usually prefer to listen at 1.5x speed. Being able to speed up the recording allows me to get through more content. Would love it if this app had speed controls.

I wish I could give this app a better rating, but the constant BUFFERING that goes on for hours (not exaggerating) is a turnoff. I'll be halfway thru a podcast and it suddenly stops, and sez "Sorry, this episode is currently unavailable". What? How? I was just listening to it! I restart my phone, try again, then BUFFERING, which may be a modern term for HELL. Your competitors do not seem to have these issues. .sad, because I really want to use your app, but it's a mess

Title says it all. Edit: I have used this app for 2 years and it has fulfilled all my podcast needs. That being said, the latest update has left me looking for another solution. Episodes no longer auto continue on my list or auto delete after I'm done with them. The notifications for new episodes also seem to be stuck on the same 3 shows. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

I love the ability to have all of my favorite podcasters in one place. I REALLY wish it would remember where I left off. When I have to stop and come back later it can be frustrating to find the last podcast I was in the middle of. I also wish it would keep track of what I've already listened to. Unless I leave a few seconds unlistened, it all looks fresh and I occasionally start listening to one I've already heard. Overall I like having this app. Just a few frustrations.

It is nice to have a free podcast app with just about every podcast and episode your heart desires. Sometimes the app just stops playing in the middle of an episode, sometimes several times during the same episode, regardless of how good phone service is or if it was downloaded. But by far my biggest qualm and headache with this app is how it does not log whether or not you've listened to an episode, so if I try to start listening to a podcast that has been out for any amount of time I cannot determine which episodes I have and have not listened to.

There are some REALLY annoying things about this app. The ads come on to interrupt your podcast sometimes, and sometimes they are really loud. It's just incredibly disruptive and annoying each time. I wish there were some other features as well, but this is really the most annoying thing I wish they would change. I get that they need to show ads, but the way they do it is so disruptive, that whatever they are advertising, I make a point of NOT to buy, just because I am so annoyed. Disruptive ads like this just DO. NOT. WORK.

SO SLOW, always glitchy. There is a good selection of podcasts, but the loading speed is a joke. I've tried to search for podcasts advertised on the app, but the app is so slow, I end up trying to find them on other providers, such as wondry. I don't pay for premium, so I don't know if that service eliminates the snail pace loading and searching. If your podcasts are available from any other service, I don't recommend podcast app at all.

The app freezes if you have to pause it for a minute or two, which makes using this intermittently while at work pretty difficult. It makes you close out and scroll back to find where you left off. I'm bingeing a 300 episode podcast so this is more than a minor inconvenience. I'm sure there's a more efficient podcast app out there.

I really love this app, and I'm happy to pay the subscription to eliminate the ads. Two suggestions for the devs if they're listening: 1. What would be really useful is a "repeat" mode when playing a downloaded podcast. I often use this app as a sleep aid, and it would be nice to just be able to repeat the same podcast rather than have the app play through the entire list of downloaded podcasts. 2. Less important: It would be useful if the "skip" time were configurable. Often I'd like to be able to skip in 1 minute increments. Other that that, great podcast app!

After using this for over 30 episodes I have to get rid of it. There are loud video ads that have to be closed out and it's too annoying to find the x and wait for it to countdown for 5 seconds while I'm driving. I would pay to get rid of the ads so I'm switching to an app that I can pay for ad free. That's the only downside to this app. Great offline functionality and great selection!

I've used this app for a few years. It always worked well until last night. Now it is a mess. I would rate it a 1/4 star but that's not an option. Often, after tapping the app, it doesnt show podcasts just blue with small microphone in center. If it does open then often won't play the podcast selected. If it starts playing the podcast the replay, forward, and pause buttons don't work. After playing I can't leave the site or it will switch to a black screen or to Google. What is going on??

It is used to be a great app. Now it shuts off after one min. No longer able to listen to a complete episodes without having to restart it every single minute. I even did the 7 day free trial thinking it was some ploy that requires the upgraded plan. Nope. Still shuts off after 1 min. I tried changing all sorts of settings on my phone and the app. Nothing changes it from shutting off after 1 min

have been using this app for over a year. loved it!. a month ago, the app started playing short ads before the start of a p-cast. I could live with that. A week ago, 30 second ads would start playing in the middle of a p-cast, an unwelcome distraction. Yesterday, I noticed that when resuming a podcast after a pause, the podcast would play for 5 sec and then be interrupted by an annoying facebook video. so I'd basically have to hit the play button twice in 10 seconds. Hope it gets fixed!

I've been using this app for about 6 months. it has all the podcasts I like to listen to. I have a few problems with it though. if anything interrupts my listening such as a phone call, instead of my podcast resuming I have to manually go back into the app and begin playing again. Which really sucks when I'm out on a run or in the middle of doing dishes. There is also no sleep setting, which can make it hard if I ever listen to something before bed to take my mind off the day.

Overall unimpressed. My podcasts dissappear suddenly when I stop and start. This requires me to re download and find my place again. With the upgrade of my phone (android) I lost the ability to pause and start again from the lock screen. I have adjusted to the ad pop ups because hey it's a free app! But the other day it actually stopped my podcast to play stupid slot machine music and wouldn't let me close the add for 10 seconds. I will be searching for a new app to use.

Very intuitive and easy to use when it comes to finding new podcasts and ones that I already love. But the queue system needs some work... It's clunky and cumbersome to have to sift through every show I listen to just to see if there's a new episode, I'd like the option for it to automatically add each episode to my queue as they come out. Also, full page adds every 20 seconds are a bit much. But can't wait to see what new features roll out in the future! In the meantime I still prefer RadioPublic because of its special folders that give you a shortcut to new episodes of shows you follow and an easy way to add them to your queue. Also I don't think the "Listen ▶️" button works on my device, nothing happens when I press it (Google Pixel 2 XL).

I find the UI layout easer to navigate than any other free podcast player. It is simple to see what has been played and dowoaded. However, full screen ads with a tiny close "x" in the upper left or right corner, is very annoying! I do not see where I can purchase an 'up graded' version, ad free. It is difficult to find the "settings" menu on this app.

Update!! The changes they made to this app makes it sooo slow and awkward to use! It takes forever for the app to catch up to the action I try to initiate. Slow and lagging. Love! this app! My computer broke and I can not download itunes in my loaner computer....so I was trying to find a way to listen to my podcast and this way is definitely it. I can still do other things on my phone as I listen and I can save podcast I want to listen to instead of having to search through them on a list.

This a FB product that just bombards the listener with personalized ads. So much so that sometimes it boggs your device down. Always trying to load the ads onto your device. Although I am thankful that I am able to listen to uncensored independent media- it is a workout and tiring to get through the army of ads connected with this product. Just uninstalled this app after no attempt was made to reduce the incessant barage of ads when trying to listen to a podcast. Went to Podbean
