Ok, for those of you who are new: prioritize shipments that pay premium currency and train parts. Once you have an excess of train sections, you can sell them for a lot of coins. They decided to brew their own cloud sync service, which is a bit ambitious, if understandable (Google's is basic and probably won't be supported at some future time, and Facebook can't be trusted).

This game is a lot of fun. It's well made and polished, and doesn't stop you from progressing without making purchases. That being said, the purchase options you have are ridiculously priced. The VIP package is $20?! For that you get a bit of refuel speed, some free bux, and some storage space. If it was $5 I would have bought it. Also the lost and found is another $5 PER TIME. Complete nonsense. I've had full blown PC games cheaper than this.

Pretty fun and addicting, rewards skilled play. Not really predatory with paid stuff which is nice. I kinda like the new free bux thing being available on the main screen so I know when it's available, but at the same time it clutters up the main screen with something that doesn't affect gameplay at all. Wish it could be removed. Maybe have a '!' In the store menu to let us know when an offer is available.

Like many of these types of games, you need to have serious patience at first. But, once you have played consistently for a while, and learned the best ways to structure railroads and progress, the game really speeds up and gets fun. At level 19 I have more than 20 railroads spanning 3 continents, and in just a few hours of play can quickly save up hundreds of thousands of in game coins. If you decide to stick it out, make sure to check out the wiki and the subreddit for tips! 10/10 great game.

Original review was April 2014. Haven't played since but playing again from the beginning is fun. Simple and straightforward play. Update : Minus two stars because if I have five trains moving to the daily event destination with more than enough cars to make the event just before I go to bed at 11 pm I should wake up to a congratulatory pop up the next morning but the game doesn't do that and you don't get the bonuses even though you completed the event well before midnight

Its super fun. I totally recommend it but a few things need to be fixed. Some tracks are so long that the revenue to fuel consumption is so unbalanced that its not even worth it, we definitely need more cities in between them. Another thing is trains break down too often. I've been playing for about a month and im trying to expand into the Arabian peninsula but I cant get enough money because my trains keep breaking down

I think this game is very fun. It's creative and easy to play. There are a few annoying things about it. I wish the first time you bought a new railroad you wouldn't have to pay to claim the track. Also, I wish you didn't have to pay to start a new railroad especially bc of how much it does cost. There are just minor complaints though, the game is overall very fun.

I really love this game because it's a great time killer. One thing I don't like though is that even though it says you can connect to cloud services to save your game so you can play it across multiple devices, it never actually send the email to your email account to activate cloud services and as a result I've lost my progress multiple times, Especially when I've had to switch phones. Please fix this!!!

I really liked this game as long as I only play it on one device. I've been playing this game off n on for several years. Ive had to start over twice from scratch. There are sync issues between devices (both Android), so be careful or play on only one device to protect progress & avoid frustration. The developers have been very responsive in trying to address, correct & compensate for the issues. I was almost ready to give up, but the great customer service makes all the difference.

But. I spent quite a bit of money on the game, then upgraded my phone and I have to start over, minus the coins/bucks that I purchased. I would love to rate this five stars but with cloud saves ect I'm disappointed in this oversight. If I could at lest be credited my purchases I'd be happy. still waiting to get a little of the money spent back!

The game's fine, but it currently dosen't work with Google play. Achievements don't unlock, and I lose VIP that I purchased when I start the game over. Also, I don't like how you can't use bux to buy trains or stop trains from breaking down, which happens a lot. And if you purchase crates, you have to use bux, not included in the purchase. And crates are loot boxes with no odds described. A little disappointed since I like the game overall, but Tiny tower is more fair.

This game was really fun before the 1.5.10 update. I liked the name change from Kiev to Kyiv, but the update brought bigger issues with it, such as: Cloud Save no longer saving instantly; 80% of the time i close the game, I come back to the last few minutes of my progress not being saved. Black screen when tabbing out then tabbing back in. freezing randomly when departing trains. Freezing when claiming video rewards. Uninstalling and Reinstalling didn't help either. Luckily the Cloud save works

I've been playing the NimbleBit line of games for a couple of years. Pocket Trains; to me, is one of those addicting games that never get old. They do get old, in a sense, that there is nothing else to do except run trains from A to B. Of course, they have the occasional events and the in game app purchasing makes the game easier to play. After just a handful of micro transactions, the game is still enjoyable but can get mudane fairly quickly. Honestly, it's a mixed bag.

great game. but there are somethins that need optimization. for example some cars can only be seen by some trains in the same station. this requires them ti be hauled in another direction and back again to be dropped in the yard, so they can be visible to the train they should be on in the first place. daily rewards would be nice too. I'll come back and add stars as things improve.

Would like the game more if it would let me open a chest and use other railways. Started playing today and the first tutorial after opening a new railway, wouldn't work. Had to force close the game. Came back, tutorial for that went away, but when it came to opening chests, I'd click next to the red arrow and it would go black. Using a Samsung S9 so there shouldn't be ANY issues. Fix it.

I wish they would bring back Pocket Planes, don't know why they got rid of it but in the meantime pocket trains is just as good, fun, and addicting. Oh did I mention there are ZERO ads! No joke, absolutely zero ads to waste your time, because really, that's what life is based around. And not to sound corny or anything, but 30 seconds after 30 seconds after 30 seconds after 30 seconds eventually adds up and that's a lot of wasted time that we don't ever get back.

Great game, much better than pocket planes. The only two complaints I really have are that the likelihood of getting one of the steamer train parts is way too common, therefore wasting a lot of the bucks that you earned. Secondly, I don't like how when two trains are at the same station and you look at the cargo that isn't in that stations yard with one train, then look at the cargo with another it's completely different. I don't agree with that it should be the same throughout.

Very good game I have no problems with it so far, only thing I would like is more railways and stations or more trains. And another good thing to add is more scenery like if you guys could add tunnels and bridges and add a day and night cycle like kn on Tiny tower, and some weather affects too like rain. But this is just some stuff I would like to recommend to you guys.

My last review was in 2014, and I feel compelled to amend it. In a world where apps grow bigger and are constantly enhancing and upgrading, PT remains the same, and I love that about it. If you play this game, you play it to run a train network, not go crazy with gimmicks and wild mechanics. It's simple, it has not changed, and as the years go by, I respect the beauty of it. Log on, run a train network, and just vibe. 10/10, no notes. Well, the X axis could get labelled, but that's it.

What seems like a relatively simple game becomes increasingly complex as you expand your logistic network into a global transportation empire. One thing I appreciate about Nimblebit games is how they incorporate ads. All ads are 100% optional, and there is even a setting to turn off video ad offers altogether. Theoretically you could complete the entire game without watching a single ad or paying for anything. The only feature missing is a login system to sync progress across multiple devices.
