Horrible and not reliable. The mobile app crashes, freezes, or doesn't let me log in. I recently purchased a newly released brand name phone thinking it would fix the issue. It did not. Plenty of users had the same issue today (3/01/2024). This app for the last 7 to 9 months has had issues. For a bank that is eliminating branches and going online, they have a long way to go. I've had my account for nearly 30 years. I'm seriously thinking about closing my account.

This is potentially the least useful banking app on the market. Through every update, I have never been able to use mobile deposit. I can do it with any other banking app, but not PNC. It always says there was an error. Additionally, it randomly signs you out. Get it together, it's almost 2024 and you're the only banking app that barely functions.

Consistently works very well and is organized appropriately. Never misses a transaction. Categorizes transactions until I validate them. Easily transfers money between accounts. Zelle feature is handy. Text alerts are valuable. The App has potential for improvement. For example, the Sign-out only appears on one page. It could have more customer service links.

03/23/2024 no seriously, I need the verification text not to happen on a trusted device. Sometimes I need to glance at my $ and details while driving real quick and having to text is not it. Over this stupid app. Older: It makes me change/reset password when I know I place it in right and the biometric isn't feeling up to working. Changing the password is a hassle bc you have to do it constantly. The app also goes down when I really really need it. It's inconvenient. Zelle is cool and okay tho.

I've had this mobile banking app for several years with no issues. Over the past several months I have not been able to log on. Message: Network error has occured. I check my connection, surprise I'm connected. PNC online works fine. No connection issues. I use the mobile app for check deposits. Very frustrating!!! It would be a great feature to have check deposit on the online app.

Every time I try to use this app, it glitches. This is more frustrating because this is an app people are using to track their accounts and use their money accordingly. The app won't open and continue to forcibly close, the app freezes often, the app will have errors with you trying to log in and the list goes on. It's not a smooth or functional app because it's barely working properly for basic functions.

I have never had any issues with this app until this last update. Biometrics works when it feels like it and it sends me a security verification passcode EVERY SINGLE TIME I log in, even when I am using biometrics to log in! This is so frustrating and ridiculous. Sometimes I don't have much time or I am driving and I just need to look at my account real quick. This passcode on every log in is just ridiculous and I called tech support and they told me it's my phone, it's not. Please fix it!!

Update 4/8/2024: Previous issue fixed so updating score, but now I can't schedule transfers in app without it failing. Works fine when using the computer,so please fix. Old review: The App is usually great but I can't log in anymore through the app. It says that it can't verify my sign in attempt, but I can access my account through computer just fine.

The biometric login is removed from the update. I cannot even change my password because I require my card in hand. I cannot order a new card through the app, obviously. The security is unnecessary and inconvenient. This is incredibly frustrating. Security is such a high priority, you'd think they'd realize how much they lost from frustrated honest people. Ugh!

This app is very poor. It constantly shutdown, account information or certain functions are unavailable to use often. The recent update is the worst thing ever, I can't figure out my balance with all of the unnecessary numbers. I don't like this app at all but have no other option for mobilebanking. After 2 years I still standby this rating. This app is terrible. still terrible app.

For the months I was getting an error that the PNC app wasn't working, all the time basically with gaps when it would work. I've finally figured out it almost never works over my wifi network, I have spectrum. But I cannot say for sure if it started happening after I updated my malware protection service with a third party but it almost never works when I'm using my home wifi but sometimes it doesn't work when I'm not home as well. But I hope this helps someone. Try turning off wifi.

As of 05/20/24 it's running pretty bad. Logging in at first, the app always has to log me out after reopening. Which kinda crash resets it. Then I struggled for a long time to send a zelle. It kept freezing and saying "wait or close" so. I mean after about a half dozen tries I got the zelle through. Idk if it's my phone too but I know the app needs some more work.

I just gave the app high marks on a survey, but after updating, it's giving me fits logging in & then it crashes the app and I can't type or auto fill to log in. I like the fingerprint log in, which disappeared with this update. Also, it's never allowed you to take a screen shot of your deposit for your own records - that's annoying because it's my phone and my account, so I feel that should be my choice - other banks allow screenshots. Not sure how it's a security risk?

It works great, but the frequent updates are killing me. I do not have the storage space to download them, and whenever they update it, even though it says otherwise, the app refuses to function. I will press continue, and it still doesn't let me in until I download the update. Please fix this, it's not fun being unable to know how much money I have until I delete a couple hundred photos.

Worst banking app I've ever used. The biometric option randomly turns off, and it forgets my username randomly. But that's just the login. In order to see routing info you need to get an sms to see it, why, why is this so over-engineered. I'm already logged in. Why another layer of security. Is your login not secure?! The overview of accounts is unclear and you cannot set up automatic payments for your credit card if there isn't anything due. Its just overal frustrating and badly designed.

June 2024 Update: Why is logging into this app impossible? It doesn't save my login info. It's removed my biometric unlock feature even though I turned it on. Logging in shouldn't be this difficult. March 2024: this app still crashes often. Logging in is a nightmare because it deletes the username then password and alternates. And the app has random outages. It's been out since yesterday. Initial review: It closes before it opens. Even after the update it STILL crashes before it fully opens.

App doesnt maintain the biometric authentication (it clears everytime I open the app). Password requirements are extremely stupid, using a special character is optional, but you're not allowed to use most special characters. This to me is a security concern and reduces the randomness of my password. Additionally, because it doesn't save the biometrics AND the password requirements are questionable, I am constantly having to reset my password, which is a security threat. Do better.

When it works/opens it's great but for several months I've had to uninstall then download the app in order to make it work which is annoying. I use it to Zelle funds otherwise I wouldn't use it because often you can't access your account late at night. From Jan - Jun 2024 the app hasn't improved. Testing it I found it might work a few times without having to uninstall then reinstall but overall I still have to uninstall and reinstall when needed. I stopped checking my balances at night.

I can't upload pictures of checks. Even now, I have a well written check and have tried to take a pic against a black background with various lighting and locations, with and without flash, different angles and can't get it to populate the amt. I have another account elsewhere and don't have issues. If I do, it still takes a good photo and allows me to enter the amt. This app won't let me enter the amt. Now I have to go drive to the bank to deposit it, so frustrated.

Recently the app freezes when I try to deposit a check and will not work for several days. Tried restarting the app and phone multiple times, it doesn't even make it to the login screen, just sits on the logo screen. I can log in online just fine so there's nothing wrong with my account. Everything else in the app works great, check deposit used to work great too. Please fix!!!
