I have been using plan to eat and their app for many years, almost from the beginning. I had tried many free services and found this to be affordable and more reliable. I love the ease of adding recipes and searching my "cookbook." The feature I probably enjoy the most is being able to double the recipe or even half the recipe by easily changing the serving amount. I also enjoy the shopping list part of the app. It is my go to shopping list that is with me at all times. Happy User!

This app is a LIFESAVER!!! I would plan a meal, and when I would go to cook I will inevitably have forgotten a key ingredient...hasn't happened since I started using this app. All I do is import my recipe, pick what I'm planning, and go shopping. The app generates the shopping list for you so you can check off as you shop! No more missed ingredients!!! I now also plan my whole week so I have to only shop once a week rather than 3 or 4 times. It's also nice having all my recipes in one place.

I've been using it for 10 years. It started out great, now it is cluttered with stuff that the paying user can't get rid of, e.g., PTE Recipes (12); information on when you imported the recipe and last prepared it is before the method instead of at the bottom (who looks at that?). They upped the price, but aren't giving the user enough options for customizing their recipe box.

I've used this app for several years and it has positively influenced my meal planning and grocery shopping experiences. It's nice to be able to tag recipes for certain classifications, and having it generate my grocery list for the time frame I choose is very helpful. I haven't played around with the "Menus" function yet - planning to soon. I'd highly recommend giving Plan to Eat a try to see if it's a game changer for you as well!!

I have been using Plan to Eat for years! My favorite feature is the grocery list. I plan, shop, and cook for myself and I find it incredibly convenient to keep my shopping list up to date. I don't always plan meals but when I do, I appreciate comparing what I have on hand to what I need, so I don't over buy. This app also helps manage one of my favorites pastimes, recipe clipping. It's free and inspiring!

I've been using Plan to Eat for a couple of years now, and it's essential to my weekly routine. It's easy to add new recipes that I find, especially with the add via URL functionality & browser plug-in. It's helped me save money, too, since I can quickly plan a week (or more) of groceries and can search recipes based on what's in the sale paper. Because I'm frequently running my daughter to practices, it's been an important component of helping us eat well instead of "grabbing something."

I have used Plan to Eat for 2 years now, and I absolutely love it! I've tried many apps for meal planning over the years, and this is the one I've stuck with. It lets me compile all of my recipes, whether from online, my favorite cookbook, or the recipe cards I have from family, all into one easily searchable database. And then it's super easy to plug them into the meal calendar, edit the number of people eating, make a grocery list, and view the recipe (without ads!) in cooking mode.

I couldn't live without this app. I keep all my recipes here for everything from drinks to desserts. Super easy to search my recipes by ingredient to find the one I'm looking for or what to take with what I have. A must have for making meal plans and then it generates a shopping list for you! Super easy to import recipes from websites too. Update is not user friendly. Hard to search with the tiny bar and my thumb keeps hitting the shop tab because it's right on top of the back button. Sad.

I love being able to simply choose what meals I want this week and have the app create my shopping list for me. A task that I had to complete with pen and paper (or a word doc) is 5 mins of my time now! You just choose what meals you want (like on a menu at a restaurant, but all the items are your favorite meals!) and you're done. I also love drag and drop programs, they're more fun than typing or choosing. I can drag and drop the meals on the plan to eat website on my PC. Absolutely love!

I've used this app for many years now to plan meals for our family. I love that I can import recipes, add notes to the meal plan (like if we have an event one night that I need to remember to make a quick meal), and that I can easily double a recipe or make edits as I customize a recipe to our liking. I also love being able to quickly see the shopping list and edit it as needed. There are other great tools that I haven't taken advantage of yet - freezer meals, prices, etc. Overall, I love it!

I absolutely love PlanToEat for recipe collection, meal planning & grocery shopping! Here's why: 1. It's super easy to grab a recipe from anywhere on the web, OR type up a physical recipe. You can even easily attach a picture! 2. It's super easy to meal plan on the app or desktop. Very intuitive and easy to adjust things. You can even make prep notes. 3. My fave part: It's SUPER easy to create a grocery list based on your meal plan for any timeframe you desire! Makes it so easy to shop.

Easily one of my most used apps and has been for years. I used to meticulously plan a month of meals, comb the recipes scattered all over the internet and the physical domain, and hand generate my shopping list for the month--it took hours, if not half a day. Now my collection lives in one place (with tags!), menu planning is a breeze (custom or from a saved template), AND the app makes my shopping list for me. I cannot praise this service enough!

After trying literally everything out there for 2+ years, this app finally solved my meal planning struggles. I'm terrible at planning ahead and even worse at grocery shopping, but this one actually works. What makes it different? I can grab recipes from anywhere online, add my own family recipes, and tweak them whenever I need to with notes and ratings. The calendar lets me map out my week including leftovers. Best part? It automatically compiles ingredients into a shopping list for delivery

I have had this app forever and have tried to leave it about 4 times. I always come back because it just can't be beat. The only thing I would improve is the online ordering because it can be quite buggy, but it technically is still in beta, so I can't deduct stars for it. They are also one of the few that will let you try for a month free without any fear of an accidental charge, they don't even take your credit card info. They always have a black friday sale, the best time to buy your sub!

Love this app, absolutely worth paying for! I use this app to do my weekly meal planning and grocery shopping. I love that it adds all the recipe ingredients to a shopping list. Love that you can change the serving amount and it will recalculate measurents. I enjoy the 5 star recipe rating feature and have my kids rate new recipes so that when I want a quick win I just use the filter to only show the 5 star recipes I know my kids like. Helps me want to cook for my family AND keep my sanity. 😆

Love this app. I have been using it for weekly menu planning for 2+ years now and it has helped me out tremendously. Previously I would lose track of recipes and basically start over every weekend by googling recipes for the week. No more! So efficient! Update: Still using this app on a consistent basis and it is now 2025. cannot say enough good things about it. It helps keep my sanity!!

Love it! Life changing. This app is saving me so much money on groceries, and so so much time and effort and thinking and stress when it comes to making meals, grocery shopping, planning, etc. I immediately signed up because it will save me far, far more than I spent on it, less than a latte a month.

wife and I wanted to start cooking at home but managing all the different sources for recipes is confusing, and copying them down manually before trying them seemed like a waste of time. on top of all of that how the heck do you know what to buy for the week? this app solves all of those problems for you, you load in your recipes (very easily with their automatic import tools), plan which recipes to eat on which day, then hit the groceries tab and you can go buy them!

A little frustrating having to load recipes from outside sources, some of the sources are really slow (think hours) to down load a single recipe. So far I've only been able to download about 26 recipes (has taken 3 days). The function that calculates the nutritional values appears to be malfunctioning I can cite several instances but one will do a recipe for Keto Chili was shown to have 29,000.0 mg of sodium. and have 935 calories per serving. This should be an easy fix.

This is the one. I spent years-years!-on another app. But compared to this one, it sucked. Plan to Eat makes it simple and easy to add and import recipes from a wide variety of formats, to adjust the number of servings for recipes, to handle the grocery list and to share it, and the way they have the staples list set up actively helps you not to forget things. It's also outstandingly un-buggy.
