I love Pizza Boy GBA Basic, but GBC Basic is practically unplayable due to massive restrictions on UI options locked behind paywall. The settings button right under the Dpad can't be moved or disabled during play, so it's always getting pressed accidentally. I played for 5 minutes before minimizing the app accidentally, which reset the ROM back to title screen. Now I know why Pizza Boy GBC is lower rated than its GBA cousin. Uninstalled, UI unusable.

Absolutely amazing I love this emulator! Easily the best for Gameboy color! Everything is simple and every option I could hope for is available, including run speed settings and button customization, save states work perfectly. I will be grabbing the paid version asap. I only wish there was a Gameboy advance emulator of this quality.

It's honestly really cool once you figure out how to use it. But that's the issue. Figuring it out. They have a thing that tells you how to use it but it never loads for me. Another bad thing is, finding a reliable source to get the games from. They provide you with one, well when I last checked they didn't anymore. Page for it might have gotten taken down. But once you get past all that. It's great because you can literally play the games you like as well as do some cheats. No ads either.

I'm not sure of the technical specs of this emulator, as I seen quite a few people complaining, but I will say this: It's light weight and one of the few(and infact the only gbc emulator I could find in this cursed app store) that has no ads. So if you're like me and you just want a simple emulator that works decently, will keep you entertained when you're somewhere boring, and you don't like stupid ads in your face even if they're small, I recommend this one. Please, never put ads on this app

Remarkable emulator. performance on my Galaxy S6 is flawless. I've spent hours trying to find the best GBC emulation on my phone and this is the best one. Love the LCD blur. Well done mate. One thing I'd like to see in the future is the option to turn off the saturated GBC colors. (Edit) Purchased the Pro version. not long after I posted this review. non saturated colors option looks great. Perfect emulator. money WELL spent

How do I change screen size? I tapped or swiped something and it switched from full screen to bordered

It is pretty good, but I am also very upset ubout the fact that the color option went away mid game, with an update, while playing pokemon red. I was considering pro, but now I am looking for a different emulator that will play in color.

The Absolute Best GBC app - Quick Question? How do users backup saves on the pro version? I also have the pro version and if I accidentally or somehow have the app deleted it seems that all saves are gone forever. Is there a way to safely and reliably back up saves on the pro version gbc? About to try to complete Crystal version playthrough and Pokedex Thank you for everything PizzaBoy is King Long May He Reign

I was never expecting this to replace the GameBoy experience but it's really not good. I have ROMs that work perfectly on an Everdrive and PC, yet this emulator suffers from CONSTANT audio glitches. Also, it seems like for some games, the sprite position isn't aligned with what you see on screen. It's off by a pixel or two. It makes for a super frustrating experience. I suppose if you don't own a retro console, this might be fun to play some old games but don't expect anything amazing

Played through an entire run of Pokemon Silver GBC. Worked nearly perfect. You can edit the layout for free also use speed increase for free. Has a instance save as well as in-game save working. No ads, has GameShark, etc, all free. Only issue I had was since the in-game save worked, I only used that but it ended up not saving on me twice in a row once, kinda ticked me off had to redo a few things but since then I've used the apps instance save just to be safe. I'll prolly buy the paid one soon.

This has got to be the best emulator I have ever used on the play store. Although it would be nice to use the bios..............(That's it. That's literally my only complaint. Everything else checks out.) The link cable emulation over both wifi and Bluetooth is nice, and I have never noticed any lag, even on a low end device.

Worked fine until it didnt. Default color pallete disappeared from the menu and it went to yellow mode. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app, lost all my progress in Pokemon Red. Update: tried starting a new game. After playing for a bit and it was normal, saved game and upon opening the app the next morning it was stuck back in yellow mode. This is clearly a bug and needs to be fixed. Otherwise, its a nice emulator. Still playable but the color is annoying

Really awesome emulator. No ads and it looks and runs great on any device I've used. Love the shader options and the ability to adjust the button sizes/ positions l. And it even has trade capabilities over wifi and bluetooth! Pretty sweet app for being a free version. Would definitely reccomend for anyone looking for a solid emulator for free.

Ciao Davide: Excellent emulator!—I have just purchased the pro version...However, I had an issue. I noticed that I could only push and hold the TOP HALF of A or B button to hold properly. To clarify, if I push and hold the BOTTOM HALF of the A button, it holds only until I move with the direction pad, in which case it releases the hold. This bug killed Link many times. Also, if my battery fell below 15%, or if I plugged my phone in, the ROM would crash. Otherwise great!

it's an excellent emulator with great features and flawless emulation. However I'd like to request that the home screen be updated to be similar to John GBC or Super Retro16. It would make the app experience more pleasing & navigation between games so much more fluent. Edit: Sort of, but more like have the emulator search for ROMs on the device & then it display a list of games with thumbnail images next to them. Yes a full list of games in any folder of storage as long as they're compatible.

I've been a long time supporter of this app (since 2017) and I've upgraded to the Pro version quite a while ago, but do not think for a second that this version is simply inferior, because you get a large number of the same features at no cost to you at all. My phone is a POS, it runs great. To top it off, it's add free! If you're looking for a nice GBC emulator, you can't go wrong starting here. (Kinda miss the old app icon though, I feel like it had a bit more character, why was it changed?)

Can't complain. It's not like there are essential features locked behind the paid version. Save States and Speed-Up/Down are here, for free. Games run smoothly, with any lag going unnoticed. My only nitpick is that games from the original GB don't have their GBC colors, but that's not nearly enough of a downside to make this emulator anything less than really good.

Extremely good emulator. Graphics, sound, music are all exactly as expected (ESPECIALLY with headphones :D). Various options for filtered/filterless graphics, scanlines, savestates, everything you should expect from a full featured emulator. The recent game list seems to be limited to two games, but that is trivial when the emu's file manager will always go to last used folder (i.e. no browsing to games folder every time). Not all android emulators can say they do that. Most important features are it's free, ad-free, and in-app purchase-free. Any of those are an imediate pass. Thank you for you time and dedication for this fantastic upload! :D

Went through a lot of emulators, some were choppy and glitched out on faster speeds, most couldn't play room hacks and the ones that could were pretty awful. Easily best one I have found especially for free, will upgrade once I beat the game I am on so I don't have to restart, don't need the extra features but want to support these guys for making a quality product.

Best Emulator by far. Especially if you get the pro version. Easy to customize Background And Bottons and achievements work flawlessly unlike retroarch tha you have to log in everytime. Only thing retroarch mgba has over this is the Super Game Boy rarely works on pizza boy even when forcing it to choose that. Tried all kinda settings and won't get it to work on Super game boy Enhanced games. Also lack of transparent touch buttons so they don't obscure the custom Background
