Xiaomi phones have a mode called as Documents in their Camera app itself. It has auto edge detection. They are very accurate & fast. Kindly add that feature to G Camera app directly. So that Documents can be scanned as jpeg/jpg and that we don't have to always the long process of opening Gdrive then scanning & storing as pdf. Would suggest to keep that feature Gdrive but to add Docs scanner to make quick receipts etc capturing & saving as jpg.

Lack of manual mode is a big disadvantage of this camera. This camera automatically detects the environment and set the mode by their own choice. And sometime its turns out horrible result. When I am trying to enable astrophotography mode even with tripod and very low light pollution area still the camera unable to start astro photograhy mode. This is too disappointing from google. Hopefully you guys work on complete manual mode.

Could be incredibly good, but zoom quality on my Pixel 8 is plain fuzzy, automatic macro mode won't work consistently (switches on and off non-stop when close to an object), and I've started noticing extreme noise/reddish glow in dark scenarios when in specific 3rd party apps such as BeReal (maybe it's not supported yet?)

Apps does not allow me to take photos, it immediately closes which is super annoying.

It's a shame that they don't have a simple 50/60 hz selector to avoid flickering. They should implement it asap.

When I take a picture the phone does not save the picture. Every time I update to this this new update my camera doesn't work. The way it's supposed to pictures aren't saved and I think I'm taking photos and they're not being stored in my phone. It's very annoying. Anybody else having this problem?

Had the pro camera that all android phones have before Google update why we have a feature taken away that's standard on most android phones! My rate is based on this!

I was wondering why can't you switch when recording from selfie to the camera when you can with other apps? I think it should be on the next update and all pixel users will love it

I haven't been able to use my pixel camera in nearly 4 months now ever since their Android 14 update, and they're customer support just told me buy a new phone instead of how to solve the problem

Camera API not able to focus on semi-close objects in third party apps on Pixel 8. Looks like an issue with the macro lens feature being automatically turned on.

feb 21 2024 was last update this app put out in google play store on my pixel 7a! yet most other apps like pixel phone app, chrome, and google update almost every day . not necessary

The pixel camera is one of the best camera software I have ever seen. Most of the time I like how it retouches the image and adds certain effects. Personally I feel that it would be awesome if I was able to control iso and shutterspeed. Even astrophotography mode should have three options "off" , "auto" or "on". And it would be really awesome if the Dev's add action pan and other features to the app. Overall love the experience.

No doubt best camera Google has But one thing is missing which is needed for every camera love is BEAUTY TOUCH which others company is giving now days Details are perfect but face retouch is missing in camera Hope to fix it if possible We will glad if got in future Face retouching should more effective as per your given setting it's not uptu mark Specially when clicking day light, in other hand with flash camera gives super touch to face

night mode on Snapchat has now officially completely disappeared for all pixel devices.... I don't know if Google has axed this feature but I truly hope not. I use this feature so much and it improves my quality DRASTICALLY. Please Fix this Google 🥹

No where NEAR as good as the advertisements on Google's YouTube.... Sadly 😞 this camera software needs a lot of refinement especially at night. The only time the pictures are any good are if Google takes them away and works on them via Ai / or you have Google storage left. If you have no storage left and don't buy there expensive extra cost data storage plans the pictures on the Google pixel 8 Pro are not that impressive.... They where better on my Samsung S21 Ultra in my opinion 😁

Great camera but pro mode is needed and tge magic eraser is good but needs improvement. At time magic eraser does a good job, but sometimes it makes the photo hazy and blurry. And pro mode is very much needed

Haven't fully explored it but the pictures are great and some of the functions I'm learning are great. Definitely when I'm finished learning how to use it. It might end up being a five star Come on Google. Give a simple instructions or the highlighted answers we need in your app functions to click on a link so you can go straight to changing what you got to change. Anyway, Google you work it out. Your AI system should be developed for Google pixel 6 to download the news on our phones 😇😇😇🙏❤️
