This would be the best pirate game on the market, but the ship-boarding combat controls are so ludicrously bad that it makes the experience borderline unplayable for me. I forgave it for being that bad way back when it was new, but years later the issues of constantly losing control of the character persist even to this day. How this was never fixed is beyond me.

So I downloaded the game when it was still early access and loved it, getting to capture ships and sell them, take the crew as my own, etc. But then I deleted it because I had to make room for an update. Re-download this game cause I had enough space again, only to find I needed to buy an expansion pack to do the stuff that WAS free. Devs, the game was fine how was. I hate seeing games become pay to play, especially the fun ones.

stuck with first map and only a ⅓ of the actual game i would say unlock you pay to unlock all. i messed up and payed for two micro transactions but they were not the main one that unlocks everything so I'm out a small amount of cash. this game is really cool and i had fun playing it and still could possibly but i don't see the need to dump more money into it. i will just move onto one of the other thousands of games that are out there which i can play for free.

Love the Genre since Caribbean Chase. Tempest has a lot to love and I was seriously considering purchasing the Premium version, but after it took me a while to figure out Boarding, I found out taking other Ships as Trophies is behind the 'paywall'. Not kosher! So much else is behind the paywall, I understand, but not that. If you put the time and effort in, you should get the reward... Bummer too. Tempest can be played Offline and I prefer those games...

Been playing for several days now and here's what i know: 1) the buy in at $8 is reasonable 2) the interface for quests is quirky, incomplete, and resets the same quests after you complete them 3) the ship to ship combat is fun as all heck and super easy to learn 4) no save system and no way to establish quest difficulty before attempting, so you're gonna sink a bunch 5) Not a privateer game, there is no way to make money trading goods. 6) RPG elements too few and far between, mostly ship v ship

Fun, engaging game that reminds me of one of my all time favorite games from the early 90s, Uncharted Waters New Horizons. It's just the right kind of challenging for me as a casual game, not too easy and not too punishing. I can play for a few minutes at a time or really dive in for a longer play session. I hope they continue to develop and expand it! I had an issue with a purchase not going through and they politely fixed it for me.

This game has beat every single one of my expectations however it needs a couple things. It would be nice if we could walk around the ship while it's sailing and enter captains quarters, customize our character, the fighting system was updated because it really needs it and that's all I have for now otherwise pretty good game although confusing at times but I'm getting the hang of it.

All in all the game looks amazing! Am a bit annoyed with the large turn arrows distracting me from the beautiful graphics. Also the wheel spinning like a propeller without ever stopping bugs me too. Small things, but otherwise I'm enjoying playing this game! I need to get in contact with tech support for a missing 50,000 coins however.

So far it seems like a good game, possibly great. There's good attention to little details, meaning there's a lot more to it than just sailing around and hunting other ships (though there's plenty of that too!) My only criticism is there should be a way to aquire the full version by either purchasing it with coin, completing certain objectives, rare loot chest or just win it through a giveaway. Personally I find it to be greedy to want someone to pay for a game that they spend money on already!

Considering this is a mobile game, great graphics, somewhat mini storylines in the form of long "quests" I liked. I have worked my way through the ships via board and capture, I love the variety and customization. Great gameplay, melee combat needs reworked in the way of slightly shorter stun timers. Camera control gets dodgey and in newer dlc content I will spawn on an island and my screen will be under the world, simple issue that can be fixed with a quick game reopen. Amazing mobile game.

It's a great game, it really is; but it still needs work. There should be more for free players. In order to make a increase in profits by people paying for full version, the DEVs should make more maps to be available to free players. I'm intrigued but not enough to pay for full version as I have not seen enough. I have seen the Beasts, but no way to counter them or to fight them while us free players are only limited to 1 map is pointless. We should be allowed to upgrade enough to fight onefirst

I would like it if you could make it were other players could communicate with other players. Other than that this is the best ship game out there. And to be honest other than that I wouldn't want you to change a thing .ps you really need to refine the controls wen in sword fights. because some times the captain starts looking around randomly wen you try to move him around. controls are great but just isolate the controls.

Great game! Awesome graphics best naval RPG in the store, and believe me I've been looking for a game like this for a while. Just bought the full version though and I can't seem to start up the game anymore. It loads and then when I'm supposed to see my ship in the harbor it says loading... With a black screen and it never moved past that point. I tried looking up ways to make this fix itself but none of them work. I'm out of ideas and afraid I'll have to restart, Any help is appreciated.

Needs improvement. The combat is good. Boarding a ship is fun but needs work. The quests are intriguing, although some quests can be annoying because you don't know where to go or aren't marked on the map. The idea of buying the other maps was my reason for 3 stars. I did buy the other maps, but I don't find it worth it because there's not much to it other than completing quests and finding better equipment. Overall, I think this game can improve.

Fun game, needs a few tweaks though. For instance, in most cases you can click to the side to exit out of a text box. But it shouldn't be the case when you board and capture a ship because you're given three options of what to do with the ship. too many times the game auto-scuttled a ship that i wanted to keep because i was mashing buttons fighting the crew. i paid for the full version and haven't regretted it! That "speed up" button alone was worth it. awesome graphics, fun gameplay, pirates

Is an excellent game, played the PC version a lot so I'm happy to find a mobile version that I can play anywhere, and yes it is a demo, not a free game. Problem is I've encountered a massive game breaking bug where it not only wiped my save file, but the map movement (or fast travel) is not working on my version anymore. If anyone knows, please show me where I can fix this issue.

The game is pretty enjoyable, I'd like to see a few things like the ability to be half mass so it's not always full speed or stopped, it would be more immersive if the wheel only went so far, say 3 and a half turns and then stops. Some detail to the water like ripples and a little bit of work to the weather system graphically. Calm water with cloud reflection, stormy weather with bigger waves, birds. Very fun however and cant wait for future updates!
