HOW TO PLAY PINOCHLE
Binocle combines skills such as mental arithmetic, strategy, and memory. A double deck consisting of 48 playing cards in four suits is in use. You play by trick-taking and melding. The latter means announcing card combinations, the melds, which are assigned specific scores. After dealing, there is an auction for the "Kitty" consisting of 4 cards. Players bid values equal to the scores they want to achieve by melding their cards and taking tricks in the course of the game. If you win the auction, it is on: Now you play and must reach your value!

Worst pinochle app ever. They cater to the premium players and / or their partners with the best hands. I would NOT reccomend this app to anyone. I don't speak kraut but if i did i could tell you how bad this app really is in 2 languages.

Ok but can't set any tables or play some of the games unless you are a paid player. Very little options for new players without having to spend money.

It is helping me learn the game. I do think that the bidding should go around the table. I do not think it should show what the 4 extra cards are or what is thrown away.

5 Stars before the app stopped using English language. Now 1. Response... That function stopped being available at some point. It was nonfunctional and could not be changed.

How do you all legally cheat people out of there chips. for example the pot is 5 chips, so that 15 chips for 3 players, but if you win you get 8 chips for the winner and 2 chips for second place. but you actually only get 3 chips because 5 of those chips were you entry. so in one game the has 15 chips in the pot you all pay out 3 total. last place loses 5 chips, second place loses 2 chips and 1st wins 3. I hope someone files a class-action lawsuit against you. I will sign up

Clunky interface. No option to choose 3 or 4 player. I hate 3 player. Cards are too big for screen. No option to choose 10 or 1 scoring. I'll stick with other apps.

Seriously disappointing. I've played pinochle for over 20 years, and no one in the pacific nw plays with a kitty, a 3 player format, nor 7s or 9s. With such extensive gameplay you'd be better off not excluding such players as myself (and an entire quadrant of the US & more) and allow the option to play as we always have. I can't even play @ a 4 player table as a new player w/o buying gems and paying $ (?)

I love the app but i have one issue, why when you win do you not recieve what it says you win. When you win it says 16 chips but my balance of chips only goes up between 5 and 7??? If we are spending actual money to buy chips then we should recieve what it says we should when we win. This is the only thing i dont like about this app and its very frustrating when it happens. The app needs to be updated to allow players to recieve what they deserve when winning.

Need more time to figure out meld and Trump. Ran out of time while discarding, and when I returned, the AI had deleted my 4 Jack's meld, so my meld was lower and I lost the round. Very frustrating. It has happened more than once. Other than that, it's fun to play. I wish that the chat could be translated into English, not everyone knows German. Many German players insult English-speaking players, not nice. While I am American, I grew up in a German family, I spoke German before English.

The game is played cutthroat style with 3 player's and no partners. This is the default style with 4 player also available. If you like to be challenged to take all or nothing, it has those options as well.

Love the new version of incentives. However, there's a technical glitch. My winning chips are deducted, instead of added to the current balance or the full chip winnings are not granted. This is quite disappointing and frustrating. Please submit to your IT Techs. Your assistance would be greatly appreciciated.

If you like American style pinochle then you will NOT like this game app. The "American" feature isn't even our style! Everyone text in German language. The primary game seem to be 3-person which, again, is not American style either. Maybe if they had a dedicated server in the USA with American style pinochle then I would like this site more but other apps are better. There is no passing to your partner (strategy play) but dumb luck kitty 4 cards you get stuck with (no strat), no pass to partner

Favorite game to play online! Play it basically everyday multiple times a day. Only suggestions i have would be if there was a way that in the 'messaging' section in the game if it could automatically translate the german to english and the english to german depending on what country we are in or if there was an option to select it to 'auto translate'. That would be extremey useful. Also there should be an option for us to setup tournaments ourselfs if possible.

This game is cheating people out of their chips that you pay money for. FOR EXAMPLE, the pot is 5 chips, so that is 15 Chips for 3 players. But if you win, you supposedly get 8 Chips for the winner and 2 Chips for 2nd place. BUT you actually only pay 3 Chips for 1st because 5 of those chips were your entry. So in 1 game that has 15 chips in the pot u all pay out 3 chips in total. 3rd place loses 5 Chips, 2nd place loses 2 chips and 1st place wins 3 chips. Not to mention if u get set u keep it.

I enjoy this version very much. One major change for American play I recommend and believe it will be very popular: Let partners who win the bet pass 4 cards from their hands rather than having a random kitty. This is how Americans play in partner mode. Additional suggestions are allow bigger cards option. Also, allow to see all hands played in the round, can be as a table option. Allow German chat to be translated to English. Let us ignore unlimited players without charge.

This is a bit different than American style pinochle that I am used to. It takes a few games to catch on to the differences and get used to the counter clockwise play. Most of the players are German but you can set the language and cards to English. This is a three and four handed (partner) version with a kitty. There is not an American style passing cards to your partner variation which would be a great addition. There are no ads, but to play premium/set custom rules is an ongoing cost.
