This app was lagging a lot for me and really did not work well. Update: I have lost notes on some of my plants, the newest today. I use the notes to keep track of growth, health of plants, where I got them from etc. It is very upsetting to go into a plant and all I see is the cover picture, no date of when I added it, when it was watered last or anything.

I love this app. I will say it is smart to double check when identifying plants, while most have been 100% accurate, some plants resemble others, so sometimes you get an inaccurate identification. This app is my go to whenever I bring a new plant home that I haven't bothered to research first:) I also pay for the yearly plan so I can keep my plants saved to my garden. it gives me the ability to track how my plants have grown. I am very thankful to the minds that made this app a thing! thank you!

My only complaint is there doesn't appear to be any way to subscribe monthly. Sad, but I'm not paying for a year upfront in a region where we don't even have outdoor plants 6 months out of the year so when my free trial is up I'll be looking for something else. So far I've found it very accurate and fun to use with a basic phone camera.

Has gotten worse. It used to give you options if the first choice wasn't right doesn't do that anymore. If you know it's wrong it wants you to give the right name which if I knew the right name I wouldn't be looking it up. And then it only gives me a limited list of write names which usually it's not one of them. It just makes the whole process a whole lot more frustrating

The most accurate identification app that I've found. I found hard seed heads from a native plant that multiple other apps couldn't identify. I ran it through PictureThis and immediately received the correct identification! I could definitely do without the massive premium advertisement that pops up on your face when you launch the app, but a lot of the others do it too.

Frequently unable to finish a function. Nice when it does but very frustrating to see the circle going and going with no results. Also very expensive for what you get. Supposed to have "expert" help to answer questions but when I tried it I didn't get anything I could use. Have had this app for a few years now but it has never improved much so I don't think I'll renew.

After discovering billing information is not available on this app, I sent billing questions via email, and they were swiftly answered. It is frustrating that this app lacks details on canceling or info about future billing. I will send a better rating once they let me know my subscription is canceled because, although it was nice, I didn't use it enough to justify its cost.

I can't believe I was fooled by so many good reviews. You can't do anything on this app without being hassled to upgrade to the paid version. The interface is great, design and functionality is cool but the prompts to upgrade are relentless and at every single turn. I'm deleting this after using for one week. Don't bother.

Deceptive, fraudulent billing practices. No warning that your subscription is about to renew, and it bills the day BEFORE it is due. Even worse, when it says there's an "update" to the app, it actually installed a DIFFERENT "premium" app (Version 4) and charged for a NEW subscription (again, with no warning or notice that you're being charged). I just cancelled both, so I know that I was being charged for both.

App is great and the reason for two stars. But the price and subscription is very deceptive and unclear. No notification trial is ending and almost 60 dollars charged with zero warning. Now they want to be very difficult on getting a refund. They keep pointing me in directions that do not work. But at the end of the day Google Play says contact the developer and I did. Come on do the right thing. Your preying on people with deceptive tactics for a very expensive app.

You should add location mode option. When button "on" in settings, a map location is saved to database for the plant with gps info that can be read into Google map. That way when you see the illusive plant in the wild, you can come back to it later with your shovel and walk right to it. If you like the idea, send me a free version as I am living in my vehicle, foraging for food in the woods.

I have a single gripe. I use this app on a Galaxy S24 Ultra. I hate that I can't drag and adjust the bounding box when I upload a photo. The subject has to be dead center. I also noticed that if I use the camera within the app, it will sometimes zoom in on its own and lose a lot of the photo. I didn't have this problem on any of my other phones. Very odd.

Overall, I love this app and I use it a lot, but I don't understand why the option to pick the correct result was removed. I liked that every identification had 3 or 4 backup options because not every identification is correct, but more often another one of the 4 was and if not I was given the chance to add a new plant, now that's harder. Tomato and pepper seedlings look a lot alike and this app can't tell the difference until the true leaves from, but then anyone can.

I have been using the app for several years now, and although I love it, I wish that it would be better updated with newer varieties of houseplants. I have quite a collection that is continuously growing, but a lot of times, when I turn to the app, I am unable to get an accurate ID. It can be frustrating at times. I did try the "add to library" link where you suggest an addition, but I never heard back and still don't see the plant. Overall, I love the app. Just need updates....

I love this app! It's amazing! It's so easy to use... just snap a picture and it will identify and diagnose health issues. It's so informative from landscaping design to how to take care of anything... and can even identify birds, bugs, trees, and tree rings instantly!! I'd definitely stay with it after the trial if I could just pay $2.99/month fee vs having to dish out $50 altogether for the year! This app is the best I've ever seen!

Love how accurate this app is, but I switched phones and installed it on the new phone and they said my subscription needed to be renewed. I assumed that meant it had expired so I renewed the subscription. I didn't realize they would continue to bill me for my subscription (@ $32.60 as ver PictureThis Premium 4), and would begin billing me at a higher rate ($39.13 for ver PictureThis Premium15). The two subscriptions were hitting two different bank accounts- one that overdrafted.

nice app for ident and on free version it saves your idents for a bit. Down a star because it pushes the trial SO HARD that it confused the heck out of my elderly father when I was trying to teach him how to use it to identify the plants in his yard. It actually verges on a little scammy because so many screens pop up pushing for the trial at first that you think you can't access the app without it at first! If your app is good ppl will buy the full version, no need to scam!

There is a watering/fertilizer reminder for recommended days, but it's not so much a recommendation as it is the only option. What's the point of letting us change the duration if it ends up just setting it to the recommendation in the end? This is on the free trial version too, so I technically should have full control and I don't even have full control.

As far as identification, I can attest that this AI does a really good job. As for the app itself, well, I never paid for it, so I shouldn't complain. But, I wish I could customize the interface to bring parts of the plant info to the top and hide stuff I don't care about (like the poem, the pdfs at the bottom, the care and conditions part...) I constantly have to scroll down and down to get the "Culture" part and the "Interesting Facts" parts.

This is the most used app on my phone between the months of April and October. The free version has loads of fantastic features. I've had the premium version in the past when it was less pricey but for my use, it's not worth $35.99 a year. I've considered it just to get rid of the annoying sign up page that comes up constantly. I'd pay something to get rid of that but not thar much. I could buy a LOT of seeds for 36 bucks lol.
