Limiting the amount of levels you can play in a row is a real DuoLingo move. The degree of experimenting with classes and grind-ability has been drastically reduced to favor monetization. No more recycling character equipment gratis. It's like finding a cute, fuzzy, and friendly creature in the woods, then taking it home to find out it's just opportunistic greed . I'm off to go play Brotato.

Really fun game! very addicting and feels a lot like Brotato if you've ever played. And I really enjoy the concept of unlocking new stuff as you progress! My biggest complaint would be that it feels like a really slow grind to unlock new things. An example would be different classes to make each run feel a bit more unique as you grind. But overall great job, hoping for new content soon!! 😁

Fun game turned money grab Been playing this game for a while and it seemed like a good balance of ads/progression without paying for anything if you didn't want to. Since the last update now they added an energy system that (not surprisingly) makes you pay gems or watch more ads to get more of, made everything more expensive, and I'm not positive but the enemies seem more difficult too. This was a good game until the devs got greedy and had to monetize everything. Not worth the time anymore

This has been on of the more addicting games I have played in a long time, and I continue to open it to kill time at every chance I can. With the recent energy issue, you can't beat a developer that actually listens to it's playerbase and makes things right . It's refreshing and is now a double whammy: a great game AND great developers? Enough typing, I've got pickles to collect.

Updating my review as they reversed some of the updates! Definitely appreciate that. However, the boss dungeon still makes you fight bosses you've yet to defeat in the main game, & when they die, you get little to no pickles. So you can't buy anything to help you as the bosses get unbeatable. I cant survive past 14 & I was getting to 21+, so now I can't upgrade my items bc rewards are more scarce. Overall, I love this game & and I am really happy to have found it

The reason why I spent money on this game is because I could play it indefinitely...yall just added 'energy' to the game... wth. I want ALL my money back, you frauds. Edit: I changed the star rating 3 and would bump it up to 4 if you fix the control. It feels stiff at times and doesn't move like it used to. I appreciate the removal of energy for the payment, sort of evens out now.

Clearly designed for pay to play..... The game is mostly a fun time killer, but tips and instructions could be much clearer. As you get to the higher levels it becomes nearly impossible to continue leveling up unless you pay for upgrades or are willing to grind for months to accumulate enough gems. Also no way to reset and start over if you want to try different characters/strategies.

4/5, but I have mixed feelings on continued development. For example, I loved that you could reset equipment & get all your resources back for free. A recent update made it so that it costs gems to reset equipment, & as a mainly ftp player, gems are kinda precious. Don't get me wrong, I like new items, equipment, levels, characters, sidekicks, & gamemodes, but I feel like the features aspect of the game might be fine as it is. Tl;dr: I would love to see the cost for reseting equipment repealed.

As of 10May24, they updated their previous "update" again. If they had kept the game "energy based," I would've stopped playing. Recycling your upgrades used to not cost anything, but it now costs gems that are limited enough as it is. Everything costs much more to upgrade. I used to rate this as 5 stars, then it became 1 star after a disaster "update." Now it's become 4 stars after they reverted most changes. It might go to 5 if they take away the gear recycling cost.

I'm glad they rolled back the recent changes to companions and energy. Hopefully they will also consider removing the gem cost to resetting gear upgrades as well. Otherwise, 5 * game. I've spent some real world money on it, but honestly it's not necessary to enjoy - a very rare thing these days. Hopefully devs will keep it up and keep considering player feedback.

I am addicted to this game it's simple and but full of different interactive modes to keep the game from becoming repetitive and boring. The best part about it is the ads, I know crazy sounding but you don't have to see them at all if you don't want to. You don't have to pay to win or progress but you can if you so choose...... other games are a waste of time in my opinion. Truly next level mobile gaming.

Game is really fun but you hit a ceiling after completing normal levels to where your stats can't really get better without a lot of time just collecting xp. Talents need a higher ceiling especially for luck, seems like if you have 60+ luck you should be getting a lot more than a purple upgrade or weapon every 10 draws sometimes. Doesn't seem to scale at all after 35 luck or beyond. Overall just needs more room for growth and maybe some actual events to make it more interesting

Game is amazing again! It hurt for that short update issue. It's back to its amazing old self. I highly recommend. Character customization is top tier, and the variety of game modes keeps the flavor full and satisfying. The tiers are scaled perfectly again and provide challenges. You'll be having a lot of fun. This is a guarantee.

This was a 3 to 4 star game, now it is only one star, been playing a long time especially when I have to travel which is often. Now with the introduction in this update about power level, limiting the amount i can play unless i have to purchase (ads aren't enough) power ups. This really puts the game in mediocre status. I have 8 to 16 hour flights offline and this doesn't work for me any longer. I am considering uninstalling at this point.

Fun game, like Survivor Io, but with its own style. Very replayable; the levels get quite hard, but there are things you can buy to progress quicker or if you hit a wall. The developers seem to listen to the player community, which is a nice departure from most of the offerings these days that are pretty much only disguised attempts at wallet-milking the player bases. Currently a good balance between fun, playability and monetization. You don't have to spend to enjoy Pickle Pete, but it helps.

This game was good. I didn't much care for the raid system but I could get past that because the rest of the game would let me play how I wanted. Now there are increased ads and an energy system? So now I can only play my favorite modes 4-5 times. This has become increasingly more of a pay to level up system. I wouldn't recommend it after this latest update.

Fun and can get addictive but the grind is devastatingly boring. Most days, you'll spend grinding easier levels and get nowhere. The pay wall is absurdly overpriced. I got Brotato on Switch for $5 - no ads, full download, and the gameplay with a real controller is light years better. At the end of the day, this should be a one-time, $5 purchase as well. With the recent addition of energy required to play (with a numbingly slow recharge rate), the decision to uninstall a solid choice.

Disappointed. I was loving the non invasive ads (didn't see them unless u wanted to), and the fact that it didn't have an energy/life system... Hadn't played in about a week or two, come back to see that with this update, now there's a energy system, more ads and battle pass begging. I started playing this because Mighty Doom was doing the same thing, and now I'm about to delete this as well. Fun while it lasted I guess.

Awesome game! I'd just like to recommend one more tweak, when we want to reset our gear or weapon it costs diamonds now. It was much better before that, but overall it is a very fun game. Also, when I use the spikey or some of the other throwables, it ends up throwing them out of the map all the time. But overall it is a very fun game

Used to be great. Sure, it was predatory at every angle asking you to purchase items or a battle pass or "pay x amount to get x% more" but what free mobile game doesn't at this point. The thing that I loved about this game was you could play it when you wanted to, as many times as you wanted. Most recent update introduced an energy mechanic into the game. Oh how the (sort of) mighty have fallen. Capped at 40 energy and you use 10 every time you play a level? Get real.
