The curriculum is the best from others in my POV, but the app is not mature at all. I'm using MIDI cable and it works without any issue with other apps. But with this app is disappointing. It does not recognize lots of notes. So we cannot say it's because of the environmental noises. Also, the app could have several basic features like sliding through the music, changing the speed, practicing left or right hand separately and more.

I think that they should have a premium side but also a free side for the people who don't want to pay or want to play their favorite songs for free Piano Academy if ur reading this please do make the changes it would be very helpful for us but this is my favorite app to practice on at first when i started it was rily fun but then I found out that it requires money for the songs. So please make the changes. It would also make ur app better for the people like us that don't want to pay.

The app doesn't hear the piano nicely, it misses quite a number of notes that I play and the timing is also off sometimes. Furthermore, sometimes when I play the wrong note it says I played the right note, and when I know for sure that I played the right notes perfectly, it says I played the wrong notes, which is really frustrating and discouraging. Other than that, app is working at least and is something for a beginner.

Probably the best experience to learn piano as beginner. The way you slowly get used to reading music sheet is fantastic! I felt frustrated with the note recognition when i started playing with 2 hands but one day I accidentally ended up practicing with the audio coming out of a external Bluetooth speaker instead of my phone speaker and suddenly note recognition started working great again! There are times where the treble notes aren't recognized if played with bass notes at the same time

The app is good but the only problem is that its key recognition is not at all good. Whenever I am pressing the correct notes it keeps on saying I am pressing the wrong notes. It is very annoying. And also the songs go fast which is making it hard for me and I end up making mistakes. If all these problems are fixed then I can recommend this app.

I am very disappointed with the Piano Academy app. Despite paying for the subscription, the microphone feature doesn't work at all, making the app useless for its intended purpose. Additionally, I can't use my paid account on multiple devices, which is unacceptable for a paid service. This basic feature should be included. The lack of functionality and poor user experience make this app not worth the money. Ridiculous and frustrating! Save your money and look elsewhere.

Awesome app for learning! Although, the courses got exponentially harder and almost impossible to follow as a beginner. The courses also lacked guidance on harder points. Some exercises in challenging courses were too quick, which basically made it impossible for beginners to learn without making mistakes or pausing every note. The approach is awesome, but the courses need to be adjusted a little but more. 🙏 Still a great app nevertheless, it teaches you basics to mastery! 💓

Great app, works well. The only issue is that there's no way to practice a specific difficult section of a song except to start the whole thing over again; further exacerbated by some songs beginning with 10+ seconds of silence. Access to static sheet music or a rewind button would be great.

Having fun & learning a lot quickly but every time a lesson pops up where I have to push 2 keys at the same time, I have to do so over & over again making horrid noises just for it to register, then it decides whether or not it's going to take it, which makes it almost impossible to get through the lesson, preventing me from getting through to the next step, please for the love of God fix that or insert a bypass at the very least!

This app was exactly what I was looking for. Besides the onscreen instructor before each lesson, the apps correcly puts the green and red notes. Green meaning correct keys played. I love it, it also gives you stars and tells you how many keys played right. I have the free version after the 7 day trial, you get to keep playing after that period.

Before I got this app, I knew nothing about notes. Now I can read them and play! This is a fantastic app! Although some exercise mode would help. For example when it gets too fast, I need to slow down and practice, but there is no practice mode. But that's a small thing really. Even in a normal mode after playing it over and over I still can get 3 stars! I certainly recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn to read music sheets! It's easy and fun way to do with this app!!!

There a couple things keeping the game from a five Star. First of all it doesn't recognize the notes I play, it say I'm not playing it when I am. Secondly, the game picks up the wrong notes half of the time (ex. I played middle c and it picked up F). My third reason is that you have to pay to play, this game has really good potential if the bugs got fixed! It is quite frustrating when you have to keep playing the same note until the game figures out what I'm playing.

Awesome app. Gives 15 minutes a day off free lessons that are perfectly structured for a beginner. Only issue is recognizing the notes I play on my piano. It will either pause or sometimes let you hit the wedding not for the lesson or for the song wrong notes or won't recognize when you play the right note. Thankfully it doesn't stop you from moving on if it mistakenly gives you a one star

It has been counting more and more notes wrong to the point where I played every note right and it counted EVERY note wrong. So, I reinstalled the app and that helped but it still consistently counts notes wrong that I know I am playing right. For a paid app, this shouldn't happen every time. It's a bummer because there are many things right with this app. There has to be a way to slow down the songs. Sometimes you need to be able to see the notes and study them.

Seems like it would be a great app but it does not pick up sound from my keyboard well at all. Constantly pauses the music so that I tap a key that I have tapped and sometimes have to hit a few times before I realizes that I have done so. If you plug it directly in to something it seems like it'd be nice but for me I am setting my phone on the keyboard and letting it pick up audio.. it just doesn't do a good job of it

Well executed, but has some issues. For one, even though my internet is working perfectly it keeps saying that it doesn't have internet connection and then I have to click try again. This interrupts whatever I'm doing which makes me make mistakes. For two, it's having a hard time hearing my keyboard, it keeps thinking I'm pressing the wrong notes when I'm doing everything right because it can't hear well. I'm just frustrated cause I want it to work well.

I loved the lesson progress with this app, it got moving onto new concepts and skills quicker, and in a better manner then other apps I would say. My only grip is how bare bones the app is, no warm up to do before getting into lessons, no library of songs to learn, just lessons and that's it. This is the main reason why I think that charging 20 bucks a month is ridiculous. I was able to read through 80% of the app on the free 7 day trial. A great app and piano teacher, but not worth a $20 sub.

Mostly fantastic! I've learned a lot on this app but I think the app could be improved. My main issue is getting through one portion of a song that gives me trouble. But when I mess up I have to start the whole song over if i want a good score. I wish we could have the ability to slow down, rewind, or select where to start. If I could slow down the hard part and try it again at the normal speed It would be a LOT less frustrating.

I like it, and it helps me learn ridiculously fast. Buuuut it has some flaws. (Free 15 mins) 1. Doesn't hear what I'm playing.) A lot of the time, it doesn't pick up the notes I'm playing, and it's REALLY annoying.2. It jumps really far.) It sometimes gives me lessons that are pretty easy, and then jumps immediately to really hard ones. I'd suggest that you put a little quiz at the end, to make sure that I understand everything. But overall: Really good app. Change those flaws to get 5 stars.

This is a great option for people who can't afford a subscription because it still let's you practice and advance. You can't practice for as long but you have a set amount of time everyday which is a great system. On the Two-Hand Cordination Exercise 2 it did have trouble with registering what the right hand was playing when I played in unison. Unless I slam on the keys or play them separately it doesn't register. That would be something that I would appreciate if it was fixed.
