Once again another very good game thats essentially ruined because of greed. The higher you go the main problem isnt that the levels get harder. Its that the game pairs a kind of ship to the worst kind of level for that ship. And itll be the dumbest separation of ships ever. If you dont have the ships you have to buy them and upgrade them. But making money in the game is extremely limited. Unless youre a paid user ofc. So you have the choice of spend irl money or take the L. Even the og was p2w.

When I had an iPhone, I fell in love with a game that I could no longer play when my phone stopped working. A couple of years later, I was thrilled to discover it on Android while watching my girlfriend play. We both love the game, and I enjoy listening to her talk about her favorite ships, weapons, and Zen mode strategies. It's a great game for anyone who enjoys something that's easy to pick up but difficult to master. I just wish the warp gate cool down was shorter.

Phoenix HD was my jam in college. I'm not sure why I never bothered with this sequel until now. the first few levels were incredibly underwhelming, leaving me thinking, "Surely, this can't be what they intended." It wasn't until around Level 20, where the challenge became apparent. i only give four stars, because I encountered a bug: I beat Level 26 at least three times now, yet the game never saves my progress. It gets stuck with "Uploading" at the bottom of the screen, and the game freezes.

They don't copy everyone else so it's a neat experience, but it's too difficult. I beat all other space shooters games with ease, but this game is impossible very quickly with no way to earn currency to get better ships at that point. Can't tell if it's one of the the worst or best shooter games after that. Lame.

One of the best of the genre I have ever played in the last 30 years! I love the gameplay, I love the style, the music grabs you and doesn't let go, the action thumps just right way, and the controls are intuitive for touchscreen play. I can tell the developers and designers put players first and playtested the ever-loving daylights out of this game - it is slick and polished to a high shine. The nostalgic beats of R-Type hit hard in a bite-sized mobile package. Well done

I MISSED THIS GAME!! Maybe around 6 years ago when I use to have an iPhone this was like the only game I played. Truthfully I am all for android and the only thing I wanted for android was this game. Haha I'm so excited I just got all my old ships. I can't wait to try it out again, I honestly don't remember none of the ship abilities but I got at least half of them!😅 Update: OK,so after replaying it. I came to a realization. You have to grind a ton. If you want to even upgrade or get ships. 🥺

Very good game. So good in fact that I'm a little upset you can't just outright buy the game and not have to deal with microtransactions/ads. Also, I believe the wording of the VIP purchase to be misleading, as it states that it's a one time purchase (not a subscription), but only lasts for 30 days.

Loved this game for years, now. So happy to see it on Android, FINALLY (Love Apple. Just not iOS). This game is beautiful, challenging, and (most of all) a lot of fun. Many ships to collect and upgrade. The variety of which does help keep the game from getting stale. However, the intense action of the gameplay accomplishes that well enough on its own. Under the heaviest fire I've seen in any bullet hell style game, you have to be able to dodge just as well as you can aim. Phoenix FOREVER!

I've been playing this bullet, hell space game for years! It's consistently been the only game I will allow in my phone. This game is challenging' competitive, and simple. This game is dope! Just reinstalled it after a five year break and logged into my account to find all my won ships waiting for me! I was stoked to play this game again, and I am looking forward to grinding some upgrades as well as seeing what additional new ships are available. I am stoked that this game is still alive in 2024!

Very nice game! I love the graphics and the textures of both sprites and background. Just wanted to know if you guys can update this app where you have the option to play both online and offline. Also, please include the instructions on doing special weapon powers during battles in the option menu. That's why I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, it's a great game.

I am baffled by the high ratings for this game. The enemy bullets are small, there's a billion of them, the hitbox around your ship makes no sense, there's an invisible wall at the bottom of the screen that you can't see until you bump into it and it pins you against a solid wall of enemy bullets you can't dodge, slips with no defensive powers are impossible to use at low levels because you can't kill the ships fast enough to avoid the entire screen filling in with bullets. Game is awful. Pass.

Fun game, but after some time you realize just how unbalanced the monetary system is. A single ship can cost 40,000 for a final upgrade, 20k for the other, and several thousand more to unlock them. You can earn 200 per mission, 3 a day, and every few days a special mission to get maybe 500. To fully upgrade this one ship it will take more than 4 months of daily perfect play! With dozens of ships it will take 20 years of dedication to upgrade them all, or of course, thousands of dollars!

One of my favorite games, I like the music, I have been playing for about a year, 3 of my favorite ships currently are, Czar, Exo4239 , and Crosair. I have an idea, an endless mode where it randomly generates waves, if possible, it should mix the armor types in each wave, say, you can have a shielded with armored nearby, with unprotected ships in the back, but, I feel like endless shouldn't give you much coins, maybe a wave milestone can give you coins.

Specialist missions are a cool idea, but they should be in addition to the normal daily missions instead of replacing one of them. If you don't have one of the required ships and either can't afford to or don't want to buy them, then you just have less missions to play, so it's like the player is punished for ranking up. A frustrating design choice and it's not like there's very much daily content to begin with. Also please allow us to adjust the volume of the music and SFX beyond just mute.

Great game. Ive played it for months. The only thing I'd like to see is either a faster way to get the apex ship variant or the cost to be brought down some. For context, I have already beat the 30 missions, and have been saving for a while, but have just under 18k. You could make one apex version alot lower and one much higher. It would keep ppl wanting to play if they could see if what they are saving for is worth it. Also, does the daily reward not award ships anymore beyond a certain point?

Hello, i just started playing this a few days ago and its quite addicting. Beautiful graphics and gameplay. Its a true bullet hell shmup. Just one issue, i am unable to make any kind of purchase in game. I get an error message that reads "there was a problem on our end, try again later". I dont suppose we can do something about this Edit: maybe something was glitching, it works now. Thanks

I previously gave a 4-star review, but can't edit it. I had been experiencing a bug that would freeze the game after completing Stage 26 without saving my progress, but it apparently was on my end: My network had been spotty for several days straight, so it would disconnect sometime during a mission. Anyway, it's an addicting game, and the Daily and Community missions can be quite the challenge. Stage 30 took me dozens of tries to finally complete the campaign. Great effort, Firi Team!

The graphics and presentation are great but I'm dissatisfied with how easy the campaign mode is. I really enjoyed the endless mode in the first game but this one doesn't have it which is a huge disappointment for me. Overall great presentation but the campaign mode is so boring I lost interest in playing after a few hours.

Excellent bullet hell shooter. No lame energy system! I like how new players start with different ships. I enjoy earning and playing with the different ship types—appreciate that missions encourage you to use different ships but are still acceptable to use whatever you want. Decent mission system, leaderboard, and overall user experience. It's been so long since I've been genuinely impressed with a mobile game experience. Edit: Please add volume sliders!

It's a fabulous game with excellent graphics and sound. The controls are incredibly smooth and the difficulty of this game is very good. Even on normal it can be very challenging - which is GOOD! A lot of games today are far too simple and easy. I can't tell you the number of ships in this game, but I can tell you that they are ALL unique and well balanced. There are no bad ships. Some make playing a bit easier than others, but they are all viable. Getting credits is hard though
