I'm glad I haven't put a card to my account to pay for this. The episodes play for not even 5 minutes, then it goes to the buffer symbol. Not only that, even after making sure there was no connection issues on my end, I still have issues watching anything. Seems like the company needs to fix some bugs and such to come up with an update. I have it both on my phone and Fire TV. One wi-fi and one works with my mobile data. Having issues both ways with connection. Until fixed, I don't recommend.

I can't watch any show without it stopping and having to open the show again. It's beyond infuriating. I was thinking about cancelling my other services to switch to this one, but after 3 days and not even being able to get through more than 1 or 2 episodes without having to click play again, I'm done with it. Not worth 25 for both ads and continuing stop and go, sometimes even 3 or 4 times within the same segment between commercials.

It has all the episodes of Mythbusters, which I like, since I am autistic and that is a comfort show for me. What I DONT like is that yall have so many ads that it turns a 45 minute episode of Mythbusters into an HOUR AND A HALF. You add nearly 30 minutes of ads to a 45 minute show. That's annoying, and for the price we pay, that shouldn't be the case. That's, like, 1 minute of commercial for ever 3 minutes of show. It's ridiculous. Otherwise, good app, good selection, and good price. 👍

Ideally it's exactly what you want. Then you set it up on your TV and it cuts off after 30 seconds. There's no way to get through a show. It works properly about once a month. Live TV is a little better. So you're forced to watch that because none of the on demand shows actually play. It will you back to the roku screen after a preview.

The amount of adds is insane and it usually the same adds over and over which gets very annoying. we should be able to fast forward through the commercial on non-live shows but can't. If I pause it I should be able to come back to it, Unpuase it, fast forward through the commercial and continue to watch. Other then the pause and commercial issues it's an okay app for $25 a mth could be cheaper for what we deal with but it is what it is

The app kept glitching starting in the wrong place restarting ads. There's no easy fast forward or go back button or way to get back to where you were. It sucks that they have so many ads or even ads at all or even not the option to not have ads. I felt that the access to content just didn't constitute the price they're asking for in a paid subscription. My solution would be to add easier playback function and then if you must have ads you only have one at the beginning and one at the end.

The app continuously stops about every 3 minutes. Then I have to go back and open the app and go to the show I was watching to restart it. It takes an hour to watch a 30 minute show. This just started in the last 2 weeks. I've deleted the app, force stopped it and cleared the cache. All my free tv apps work great! It needs to be fixed.

$25 a month plus tax and fees WITH ADS?????? And the adds are super long, longer than any other streaming services. 10 ads breaks in one episode. So 10 ad breaks and there are about 2 min each....thats 20 min of ads for a 40 min episode. The most expensive service out there. This app is a greedy joke. The app is not as easy to use, and the video quality is not as clear as other streaming services. Will not be subscribing and will warn my family and friends to stay clear of this service.

Apparently, if there's a problem with your payment and your account gets deactivated, all your saved shows get deactivated as well and removed. Once you reactivate your account, your saved shows are gone until or if they ever are reshown. Also, there is no way to block channels a person doesn't want to see.

This app has a few issues that needs to be adjusted. When streaming on the tv it pauses about every 7 minutes, it doesn't automatically play the next episode when binge watching, and it disconnects from the TV after 25 minutes without warning, it could at least ask if you're still watching like Netflix. Also for $25 a month there should be no commercials.

For the price, it's unbeatable. My issue, though, is the channel guide it isn't set up like other channel guides on other platforms. The channel guide looks like saved content. You can't watch something on one channel and search the channel guide for something else without the channel you're watching closing down. It would be great if Philo had that option.

I'm not understanding how we're asked to pay 25 dollars a month, and there's still so many ads. And the ads are almost 3 mins long! Plus there's no rewind button, you just have to guess how long ago you want to rewind it, and there's no skip ahead button to fast forward the parts I already seen. I just wanted to watch JSFV season 6&7 and this is the only place to watch it. So pleeease either lower your monthly cost or get rid of there being soooo many ads!!!

DO NOT BUY!! DO NOT BUY!! Rewind/fast forward/pause do not work at all. Constantly buffers/lags when I chrome cast to tv. I have ZERO issues with anything else I chrome cast. Stops in the middle of my shows&completely Stops my show whenever it wants to&restarts the episode. I cant make it through an entire episode of ONE show without having to unplug my tv and reset it multiple times. The worse your review is on here the more problems you have with their "service" and I say that service lightly.

Updated review! Great app. Even better customer service! Trouble-free, easy to use. Layout is very functional & intuitive. After A LOT of communication with Mae, Nicole & others, we tracked down a casting issue (the app wouldn't let me watch the same channel on TV AND the App at the same time. It kept trying to cast even with the Philo Connect widget off). I don't use casting at all. Through regular communication to Philo customer service it got resolved! Thank you. You guys are awesome!

1st of all, your "guide" is the worst ever. 2nd, I swear I've never seen so many ads on ANY other apps. Even my spectrum cable doesn't even have a fraction of the ads as this app. I just watched a movie and I had to rewind it to make sure because it was seeming ridiculous. There were ads at 1.29.00 then again at 1.32.00 then AGAIN at 1.38.00 then AGAIN 1.47.00 (I didn't right down the seconds tbh) right before the credits! I mean that ruined the end of a good movie! You guys s*ck!....js

Worst steaming service available. It has insane amounts of ads up to 5 minutes at a time. The movie I was watching is like someone took a VHS recording of a TV airing of the movie. There's ads from the original airing plastered all over the screen. The ads are glitched too causing you to have to rewatch them. They try to charge you $25 a month for this piece of garbage. Do not download.

This is a near perfect solution for cutting the cord for me. I literally cut my bill over 50% just buy using this app. It's one of a few apps that had all the channels I actually watch, History, Science, Discovery, and A&E. A couple of things I would love to see happen in the future is to be able to easily browse the guide while the current channel is in the background. I would also like the description in the guide to show the release date along side of the season and episode # for live TV.

The application performs exceptionally well on the Fire TV platform. However, there are a few areas where the user interface could be improved, such as adding dedicated sections for video-on-demand content. As a paying customer, my primary concern is the inability to utilize the application on my S24 Ultra device due to consistent force closures. The ability to watch content during breaks would be a valuable feature. Despite these issues, the application offers great value for its price point.

Casting to Chromecast sucks with this app. The player doesn't stay up or connected. It doesn't pick up where you left off. At the end of an episode instead of playing the next one it just repeats the one that just played. Would also love an option to adjust speed to 1.25 or 1.5x. Sometimes it just stops playing all together and shuts off in the middle. Ads are frequent and annoying, not something you'd expect for $25 a month. I will definitely not be continuing my membership after the free week.

Not all that good. 30 min worth of adds during a movie is crazy. And they want ya to pay 25 dollars for. To put a cherry on top you can't even complete a free trial, due to error codes. So not even worth it. Go with literally anything else. Because if this is the example of how the app works then people don't waste your time. Unless you enjoy error codes and a heathly helping of adds then you my friend have found your heaven on earth!
