I made a review last year where I had problems logging in even with the correct password and email, I called customer service and they had me change my password, it let me log in once before it started acting up again. It's a shame that the company refuses to troubleshoot the issues with their app, its easier to log in through the website instead of dealing with this issue or having to speak to IT.

Worst. App. Ever. For the last several YEARS I've had issues with the app crashing, not loading, shows I'm logged in but none of my pet/address/wallet info shows. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling, logging out of my profile, even deleted my profile at one point. Unfortunate that this app is not at all user friendly; and the website is just as bad. It's driven me to use other apps, even avoid shopping at a physical store too.

The filters never want to work, it just keeps saying there was an error. When I select "free pick up at this store" most of my selections aren't even available at the store I choose. If you order pickup through the app often times they cancel the order with no reason and refund you in a few days, making it pointless to use and annoying because then you don't get the discounts since you have to shop in store at that point.

This is genuinely one of the worst apps I've ever had the displeasure of using. It glitches, crashes, loses my cart, and logs me out with such regularity that it takes me at least 20 minutes just to place an order for the things I buy all the time. The only reason I use this app is for the Buy Online, Pick Up In Store discounts, but I'm not even sure it's worth the frustration.

Don't move with this App... I have changed my address, added my address multiple times, deleted all addresses that I entered and I cannot get this app to enter it into the shipping. My order went to my old address literally across the country... that was my fault for not checking... one would think it would work. Now I have been trying to get it to "take" and stick and it WILL NOT!!!! I may have to take my business elsewhere.

It's very clunky. Search works okay, but finding what you want is a bit challenging amd requires doom-scrolling as there is no subcategories or taxonomy tree to click through. It always defaults to the most expensive item - including delivery. The local store doesn't stock what I have bought for the last 5 years so I am now forced to order via app. The really ridiculous thing is it takes LONGER to use the app than it does to go into the store! The push to subscription delivery is annoying.

Edit 4/4/24: I haven't been able to scan barcodes to check items. Even when typing in sku number, nothing comes up. Original post: I'm having many of the same issues that other people are, since the newest update. App crashes, won't let me sign in, and I also get the "ruh roh" message. It was fine before the update. Whatever you did, undo it so we can use the app again. This is super frustrating. I am an employee of Petco as well, and i try to help customers navigate the app. Cant do that now.

Impossible to navigate, freezes constantly doesn't matter if your on wifi or data, no way to filter for in stock items. Took me 10min to even choose my home store. Wouldn't even recognize my zip code, had to type in city and state. The website is WAY more useful and efficient! I would give this app less than 1 star if possible. No way to change my name since I was married. They want me to call someone to change my last name, which I've tried more than once & they don't change it.

Worst app experience I've had in a long time. It's so slow when you try to place an order it'll just time out & give you some random error code but will still hold the money from your bank account even though you never actually placed the order. Then when you go back to try again the total amount of the order will just randomly increase so you literally have to delete each item & add them again. Honestly so annoying because I love petco but this is the 2nd time I've had to experience this

Possibly one of the worst apps I've used in YEARS. Website no longer functional on either mobile OR desktop in an effort to get you to use an app that barely functions, doesn't have a complete search, and presents a loading wheel every 5 seconds. Try to add to many things at once and suddenly you're a bot. It shouldn't take me an hour to buy some dog supplies. Never using the app again, and will likely just go in person.

Very poor app, user unfriendly, small, obscure lettering at checkout, won't allow some items to be mailed, only store P/U, and when the specific store selected, says unavailable for pickup (same on the website, just as bad). I only use this as a last resort, when my local store is out of a product I need. They really have some work to do on this, if they want good reviews.

App is clunky at best. It moves slow, freezes, & has trouble loading things. My cart disappears constantly both in the app & online. When i'm ready to check out, there's nothing like seeing your cart is empty. After I just went through picking out my cat's favorite foods. It may come back eventually, but if you go and add the stuff again, you're more than likely to end up with duplicates. You can do better than this, Petco. Please fix this!!

Using this app was the worst experience ever. I selected in-store pickup. At checkout (5 items), I was told something wasn't available in the quantity I wanted at the store. I changed the quantity from 2 to 1, same message. This repeated for 3 more items. Several things are poorly done: The items should have never been available to select in the first place! At checkout, all items not available should be indicated. I shouldn't have to go through the whole process for each item!

Would not let me sign in using this app after trying multiple times. I can sign in just fine on the website and every time I use the app it says, " Sorry! We dug around for the page but can't seem to find it." I've tried uninstalling it, resting my password and clearing the cashe, everything I could think of. I figured the app would be more convenient, but yeahh if only it would work.

Samsung A42...Been trying to log in with app for a few days now. Error message each time. Have to do the website. Unacceptable! UPDATE: Been a few days, still same result-cannot log in, still error message. Have uninstalled and reinstalled app and restarted phone, still cannot log in! 2nd UPDATE: Works for me now...app does not function when on a VPN with wifi. Had a tech (not associated with the developer or Petco) figure this out for me. Developer still needs to update app due to this!

Keep having various issues. Lately, I have been prevented from checking on my up and coming repeat deliveries. I click on the repeat delivery section under my account, and it keeps popping up with the ruh-roh error message. I click on retry, and the same error message keeps popping up. Contacted customer support. Nothing has changed, and they were unable to see all my repeat deliveries, which now has me even more concerned about the supplies I will be needing.

DO NOT GET VITAL CARE! IT IS A SCAM!The app doesn't work. It won't let me sign in. The membership is billed monthly but can only be ended yearly. The option to leave Vital Care is hidden and difficult to find. This is extremely predatory, and although my membership has ended, I will still be charged $10 a month for an entire year for something I don't want.

This app is a buggy, frustrating mess that frequently crashes, refuses to load pages, won't apply available rewards and won't tell you why, etc. My OS is up to date and I still get that aggravating "ruh roh!" once per usage of the app at least. I had to cancel and restart my repeat delivery to edit the payment because the app wouldn't let me. Hire some IT people, Petco.

Almost complete garbage. Random error codes. Slow. Terrible, and I mean terrible, search options. Honestly it's like they don't want you to find what you want. Options for shipping appear and disappear randomly with little to no explanation. Stunning how bad this is in 2024. I'll give it 2 stars because eventually I can get my order placed but it probably deserves 1.

The app is not very user friendly. In trying to make it "easier" it is a pain in the butt to find what you need. Also, the standard "home" selection which typically points to the main page for shopping, etc does not actually go there. It takes you to your pet info...which generally falls under your account information. So you have to retrain your brain for this one app. It's a waste of time. Web page is slow but at least it has more options & easy to find.
