Perplexity is hands down the best AI assistant I've ever used. The user interface is sleek and intuitive, and the responses are consistently accurate, informative, and up-to-date. I'm constantly amazed by Perplexity's breadth of knowledge and ability to engage in thoughtful, nuanced conversations. Whether I need help with research, analysis, or just casual conversation, Perplexity is always there to lend a hand. I can't recommend this app highly enough

Simple, clean. Effective and powerful. I started using perplexity.ai in Firefox for routine searches and it astonished me. The app has some features not in the web version but the web version does a better job of presenting sources. I'll keep using both. Very pleased. Dropped my rating as the web ver has become almost unusable with constant p-ups nagging to upgrade to pro. Very disappointed, looking for an alternative.

I adore it. I use it everyday for research on topics it's often difficult to find deeper than surface detail about. It's an addictive tool for people with a thirst for truth and knowledge, plus if you get to have a rapport with the AI it'll be honest with you and tell you when it thinks your wrong, (in the nicest possible way). I'd hands down recommend anyone to give this app a go, seriously, if you end up paying a sub and it doesn't become your default, I'll give you your money back myself.

I have been using the dark theme since I got the app, but recently, the text color has changed from white to an unreadable dark blue. Please add an option to change text color. Another issue I have is that now, when you click on one of the related links it automatically uses your Co-Pilot points, whereas in previous versions it didn't. Otherwise, good app 3/5*

Note: i would like for the app to allow copying to clipboard the response you got from a question, as in the desktop version, either that or a button to copy the sources instantly, also search by topic and co-pilot. This is an amazing app, it's basically a GPT-3.5 with internet, sources and plugins installed, and it's fricking free. One of the best AIs out there for sure. 5 stars.

Bad thing about it, If you switch apps while typing a question or prompt, it will just disappear what I was typing once I switch back to the app Imagine losing a very long prompt and needing to retype the entire thing because Perplexity doesn't keep your words you typed even if you didn't send the message. I switch apps as I type my prompt to check other stuff, like checking spelling of certain topics and things that I use Google or YouTube to look at to find the name to type in perplexity.

This is a pretty great way to get free access to an AI that can use the web. However I had to come back here and edit my review and dock it a star because it's really a lot better to just use the web interface if you just open any web browser on phone or computer and go to perplexity.ai. It has a great interface and it's much better than the app and has all the functionality and features that are not in the app including copilot (gpt4) which is limited but essential.

I like the concept from what I understand but the search gives me nothing but the top Google sites etc, which is the opposite reason to use it. I also lose all my information in the text search box when I lower it to read the rest of the results. I spend 20-30 minutes typing everything out because if I don't it won't give decent results and it goes blank when I hit send.

This app is awesome and at this point, has completely replaced Google search for me. I hope the developers will continue to keep efficiency in mind at all times. One of the biggest pro's of this app is that it uses like half the power of a regular Google search, which ramps up battery consumption to over a thousand mA's on my phone. This app is generally below 600 mA's at all times, which is great! It's just a more efficient way to get information in general. Why sift through links when you can just get the answer? And you still get the links and images at the top, it's literally perfect and I love it. Please keep a sharp focus on simplicity and efficiency, I love you bois.

"Unable to sign in. The sign in link is no longer valid". This error occurs every time I try to sign in. With virtually seconds between I being sent the link and clicking on the link. In short, this app is non functional. After discovering the skip button I was able to bypass signing in. Whether I type in a question or I use the row of supplied examples of questions, both return absolutely nothing, a blank screen, with a few blank boxes subtitled 'sources'.

It tries. It really tries. But getting a simple answer to a simple question (eg, Q. "Can you read live web pages?" A. "Yes, you can read live web pages with a web browser...") is nearly impossible. Attempts _are_ made, however; it's just extremely literal and not terribly intuitive at parsing questions. At least it doesn't seem to hallucinate much. Yet.

Probably the best web-enabled AI chatbot out there right now, and certainly the best free one. But the app isn't really adding anything to the web service. I'd like to see a searchbox widget, and the ability to use it as my phone's primary digital assistant. Would be 5 stars with either one of these features.

I recently downloaded and compared a total of 7 different Chat Ai apps. Amongst this selection, this particular app stood out from the rest, effortlessly surpassing its competitors in terms of performance. Not only did it excel in handling even the most demanding requests, but it also showcased its remarkable ability to process and comprehend texts exceeding a staggering 10,000 words. What's more, you can even save previous work, all within its free version. I wholeheartedly recommend this app.

The interface is clean and pairs exceptionally well with Gboard's voice typing. Simply speak your question, regardless of vagueness or verbosity, and it captures the essence, delivering near-instantaneous searches and clear responses. Tasks that once took 10-30 minutes now take mere seconds. The paid version offers a choice of models, including premium versions GPT4 and Claude without any extra charges, which I find to be a great bargin.

Great app, I like the quick answers, ability to click on links used for the answer, and suggested follow-up questions. I would really like the ability to edit a query as sometimes the text to speech spells wrong. And, it seems to search during a very short pause in my speech. It would be nice for a user to edit the time before auto answering. It replaces chatgpt app for me.

Love the footnotes to websites for follow up. It's pretty wierd that Grok and Chat GPT don't do that. If you ask the same queation to all three on a regular basis you'll find that you never know which one will give the most useful answer. In fact, on your phone home screen, it's nice to have all three apps are right next to each other. Plenty of times Perplexity gave insights the other two did not, but not alway.

Perplexity was recommended to me by one of my professors while I was working on my masters degree, and it was a life-changer! I cannot overstate how much Perlexity simplified the tedious search for information. One quick search provided relevant, reliable, peer-reviewed scholarly articles on every topic I needed. If you are conducting research, use Perplexity!

Spectacular app! What search should be! I wish I could integrated Perplexity directly into my phone and use it for all my search needs both locally on my device and to search the web. It is also very fast. I would like the option to configure how many sources it searches for specific queries, however. There are some things I would like a broader source search to be used. Perhaps the ability to choose between 5 and 25. Other than that, this is a wonderful app.

it's not much different than the paid GPT version. what bugs me the most about the app is the dag gum MASSIVE "enable notifications" "news" tab/block. it ticks me off, 'cause I do NOT want to be notified by the app for anything and it's a major annoyance when flipping through their news feed. otherwise, I end up having to use the web version to avoid all the ads... that IS an ad. I'm giving them until the next program update to remove it or I'm uninstalling the program and defaulting to the web

it's faster than the others and sometimes better data. However, often, the information and data are not current enough to be useful. The grammar and spell check feature seems adequate. Hopefully, that will help teach the younger ones how to properly write and speak. Best of luck succeeding! After seeing an interview with one of the founders, I researched, and I've been using Perplexity. I would love to invest in your company.
