It was a super entertaining game while it lasted. I really love how the game integrates your own phone into it, such a cool feature. It clearly shows that this game has had a lot of time and effort put into it, making fake websites (that are completely browsable) and phone numbers, etc. Very cool. That being said, I really wish there was more of a story line, as well as a more obvious way to know when to use your own phone. That was more of an annoyance than a challenge. All in all, super fun!

I was originally just like, "Oh cool. A puzzle game." I was not expecting to click on a link and be pulled to MY web browser on my PHONE!!! Absolutely amazing mechanic, honestly blown away by how well it works. Definitely makes you think but that's what I love about it so much. Honestly, if you're a challenging puzzle person, this is definitely the game for you. Got some cool stories, cool mechanics, good puzzles, all around 10/10 from me.

I've never felt the need to rate a game on the Play Store before but this one is an exception... An excellent, engaging game with a lot of effort obviously poured in. Free and not marred by constant ads, the battery system is understandable and really isn't that limiting (especially since you can watch an ad to get more) I wholeheartedly recommend this game! The best mobile game I've played in a long time, probably ever.

This is probably the most rewarding puzzle game I've played to date. Every rewarded intuition is gratifying, and even without being able to use many of the audio features hasn't stopped my progress (if you aren't free to listen to a call, just hang up and you'll get texts instead). Very accessible, only thing I'd appreciate is the ability to copy info into my phone's clipboard (like email addresses and the like). Just completed Mission 6 without hints,, and in short this is Excellently done!

Fun, unique game! Missions just difficult enough to keep you thinking, without being so hard as to frustrate. The writing is fun, and the game is immersive. They sell hints, which I don't have a problem with, especially since you can also watch an ad to get a free hint. I love that there aren't ads every 5 minutes to break the immersion. I'd rather pay to buy the game, though, than to buy "battery time" to extend the play timer. Overall, definitely recommend playing!

As far as concepts this app has outdone itself in satisfying the mystery solving genre. That being said it does become confusing when it is necessary to use your actual phone when required as well as the hints being completely useless. I hope as they continue development they won't mistake increasing difficulty with tedious puzzle solving or improbability of completion in comparison to creating more challenging works depending on subtle Information hidden in the provided phones.

It's hard finding good detective games like these on mobile. I really like this one, but please add an unlimited battery option like you had once. The recharging really breaks the immersion and technically wouldn't make sense to carry over to a new "phone" we're given. Batteries don't drain that quickly! Im glad watching ads are an option but I want a full experience. Please consider!

Overall a really awesome game, I managed to get through most of the levels and they were great. I only got stuck on the one with the ecoterrorists. I used hints to find out that i needed to text someone, but after looking everywhere it did not give me the option to message anyone so I had to skip. Still would highly recommend, its a really cool idea

The stories were simple, not much character development, puzzles simple too. Probably a good game for tweens, if it weren't for the content, which is not really kid friendly. The app does not leave enough time to read everything, I didn't see a way to adjust it, or go back to read it. So I have no idea how I solved some of the missions, or how they worked out in the end. I only played a few missions before I uninstalled it. It just didn't hold my interest.

Mildly entertaining game, but far too easy. Finished 1st 10 "missions" (not including the tutorial) before my "battery" ran out and I had to either pay real money for more "battery" (playtime) or wait for it to "recharge" (yeah, it's one of those games that imposes a limit to how long you can play at once, ew). Overall, I love this concept of detective game -- I just wish there were harder difficulty levels. Another review mentioned tons of ads, but I didn't encounter any ads in the free version

Peek a Phone - Detective Game is an engaging and unique concept for a detective game. The gameplay is immersive, and the puzzles are challenging yet solvable. The storyline keeps you hooked, and the graphics are well-done. However, occasional bugs and glitches detract from the overall experience. With some improvements, this game could be even better.

If you play for free, expect a ton of ads. The game itself okay, not a great story line and some quests are repetitive. There's a bug for the Cat Burgler quest where I typed the full name and it said that wasn't the answer. The name was spelled right, just didn't go through. Also, waiting 15 minutes IN THE GAME for a chapter to unlock on free sucks! I can't even put my phone on sleep mode for 15 minutes without the timer resetting.

It's awesome really, just one small problem. When I want to watch a ad to get a tip, it doesn't really work. So I'll just sit there for what seems like two minutes and the whole time it says "ad loading. Please wait." Other the that, it's a very good game! Hope the ads start working soon! Also, I think it's a bug on my phone. :(

Obsessed with this game. The story lines in each mission are interesting and exciting. They have easy mission but also ones that are more challenging. I don't mind watching an occasional ad to get battery power and honestly it's one of the few games that I would say is actually worth any money you spend on it. If you like solving crimes and puzzles or if your in to mystery box games or just in to true crime in general this is a winner for sure 😊

really fun game with different elements. i am far more surprised by the content of this game. i usually play random free mobile games i see and this one didn't disappoint like most. i even recommended it to my friend and she also has enjoyed it. its fun to look thru phones to find clues to progress. though i wish the levels were longer and a bit harder to solve.

Used to really enjoy this game- I loved the fmv cases and the time it took for a lot of the earlier stuff. Now tho, most of the cases are full of the exact same formulaic 'find password, open next app' answers and ugly looking AI generated images. Miss when there was actual care put into the cases. Every once and a while there's a good continuation of an older case but these 2 min ones are swarming.

It's addictive. In 2 nights, I played ALL the available games. I am now looking at the community ones to try to play. Some of the story lines aren't great. If you are smart enough, you can guess the final answer and solve the game well before you get through all the gameplay. I wish there was more emotional value/tension created in their storylines (hint: Elmwood), but overall I can't complain. No ads. No point/coin system. Full game access. 👍

I WAS really enjoying this game, it's such a fresh and fun perspective on the mystery genre as a whole. It's genuinely alot of fun. My issue, and why I'm giving it 2 stars, is that after I played through a few missions, all it wants to throw at me are "exclusive" or "premium" missions. They cost alot of keys(the game doesn't give you many for free) which will either cost you $6.99, or hours and hours of watching ads. At this point, to enjoy the game I'd have to spend around 15$ No thanks

UPDATE (6/12/24): I can confidently say that I love this game. I've sped through most of their difficult ones right now because I am enjoying it so much, so what's left are some challenges that take only a few minutes to complete. No complaints though! Suggestion: The "No Ads" purchase only removed banner ads, not all ads. This should be clearly stated to avoid confusion. Original (5/12/24): Only a few minutes in, so we'll see. But so far, it's kinda fresh.

Super fun game, I'm reading some of the negative reviews and it seems like most of the issues (ie excessive ads, timers only working while in the app) have been solved. My one complaint would be that some of the puzzles require you to use your phone's browser/do outside research, and it can be a bit annoying to switch between programs.
