Pretty straightforward app. The accuracy might not be 100% but it does give one a pretty decent estimate of how much moving around one does. Considering basically everyone has a cellphone in their pockets at all times now, and that this software is free, I'd say give it a shot. If you need absolute accuracy though, you might want to invest into an actual pedometer. Which would be interesting to see how close the two are when both used simultaneously

No WiFi/No Work. The app is inconsistent. I take the same route every day and it gives a different distance each day. The calories burned and pace are helpful. However, I question the data accuracy when the app can not be consistent with the distance walked each day. The constant demand for a rating is annoying. The app has to be closed and reopened to get out of the demand for a rating.

Easy to use and adjustable to different people and uses. Never fails to record walking or running. Wish there was a paid version to remove ads. This app allows stride length as a setting, others only have height and the stride is assumed. Other apps try to add things I don't want such as goals, alerts, weight loss, etc. This app is simple and just does what it says it does.

Pretty legit little app right here. Does exactly what it says it does, right in the background, every day, and you won't even notice it's there. It seems to be pretty accurate for what it is... I have a higher end step counting wristband, and I decided to try comparing the results of the two... And of the three 1+ hr test walks, the biggest difference was just a little over 10 steps. Not bad at all! I imagine though how different phones and how you have them in your pocket will make or break it..

I've been using this app for several years across three phones. Now Up to android 12 on pixel. Does what it is supposed to do. 4 in 5 is my typical high quality rating. Always in sync with counted steps. Have had prior issues with the display not not keeping up. Seems to have happened in the past after app update. The display did catch up correctly though. I've had to recalibrate steps due to injury changing gait. Was easy to do and recalibrate after I healed.

Works great. Best, most accurate step count.. trust me I personally counted my steps for 1 mile 3 separate times & compared my count to the app!! it was accurate down to only a 3% margin of error! And that was using the lower battery consumption settings, which it tells u is slightly less accurate..., However, 1 separate time I again counted for a mile, but this time I put the settings to their most accurate settings and found that it was only better by about 1-1.5 %! AWESOME Pedometer App free!

Update: I find it difficult to get an accurate step count. Most of the apps out there are for equipment you have to buy which are not cheap. This app makes use of you smartphone sensors to sense your motion and includes adjustments for sensitivity and accuracy. It includes calculations for calories burned, speed and distance you walk. It even includes hour by hour recording of the number of steps you take as well as daily, weekly & monthly records. Not bad for a free app.

I had this app for about two years and it worked great. Then android did a major update and it worked spotty at best so I uninstalled it . Over the next few weeks I tried several different pedometers, some were rated higher or were editors choice and none came close to as good as this one. It gives you steps taken, speed, time walked, distance and calories burned. It doesn't talk to you, do their social media or connect to a smart watch. I have reinstalled it and works perfect again.

Doesn't have a million whistles and bells, but it's always there, always counting. Been using it 40 months now (May 2016), and I like it just fine. February 2020 Update. Changed phones, and now it works fine one day (20,000+ steps) and doesn't work at all the next day (0 steps). I used to love this app, but now it's a waste of memory. Keeps turning itself off, despite having that feature unchecked. Time to find an app that does what it's told, not whatever it feels like.

Easy to use. I have used it daily for more than a year. It never shuts down on my phone. The other folks having problems, it is your phone, not the app. Distances, well, put in the correct step length, you get more accurate distances! I check it against my actual steps about every other month. It could use a few more sensitivity adjustments, but it is quite accurate where I have it set. And if you always expect perfection from free apps, you are going to have a miserable life.

Nice straightforward interface to track steps, distance, energy. That's pretty much it. Tested it over short distances (hundreds of steps) where I counted my own steps, and the app's count was close enough. Developer take note: The auto start stop is useful but has a bug. If the phone is off at the start time, then it won't start counting when the phone is turned on. So I lose that day's steps.

This app is great! But there is only one flaw I have with it, whenever you are just standing still or something, it can make about 3 steps that I've never took. But the app works perfectly fine and I know most of these pedometer apps are very sensitive to movement. But the app does keep a very good persistence in tracking steps. So in conclusion I do recommend using this app.

Great app. Reliable. Has never stopped counting steps. Seems accurate. Steps, calories burned, distance walked and speed are all displayed. The reasonable amount of ads displayed can be escaped out of quickly and easily. Not the most attractive pedometer app, and I do wish there was a plain black background option. Functionality and reliability trump attractiveness though. After having trouble with some other pedometer apps, I would definitely recommend this one.

I like the app but imo it contains a bug. The start/stop time feature doesn't work properly if one turns their phone off for the night. Upon rebooting after the preset start time in the morning it doesn't go into start mode. It apparently doesn't check the current time against the power up time. This doesn't happen if the phone is left on all the time. I can think of a variety of ways to fix this but I will leave that to you.

I think this app is great! It does an excellent job at keeping track of my steps and helping me to regain my health, after being sick for a very long time. In the past, I faithfully ran 10 miles every morning add 10 miles every night. If I was at home and not out in my semi, I did my miles at a 10% incline but then I became sick with multiple sclerosis. I have a reminder on my phone, to remind me to get back up on my treadmill! This app gives me encouragement by allowing me to see my progress.

Updating my 3+ year old review. Still LOVE this app. Use it every day. It is solid, non-intrusive. Counts steps, graphs over time. Exactly what I need it to do. FEATURE request: Add something like a car's trip counter. When I purposely go out for a walk I want to know the walk's distance. I would start and stop a walk. The app should still count steps for the day as always. Sure, I can do the math and subtract steps then divide to find miles, but the app doing it would be easier!

Great app, one of the most accurate pedometers I've used! So far it has been very reliable and I've tested most of the higher rates pedometers available and they tend to drop a lot of steps throughout the day (I walk very lightly!) so the added sensitivity on this app is great. I just wish it had a widget or a notification display that showed steps taken without opening the phone/app. Or something I could add to my home or lock screen.

This is a simple, reliable app. It counts steps and keeps track of daily, weekly, and monthly totals. It also provides a simple graph for each step statistic. Other numbers tracked: milage, speed, and time spent walking. I just moved my Pedometer logs from my old phone to my new one. I had to message the Developer for some little help but I got a quick response and the instructions worked! This app helps me stay on top of my activity and stay fit. :)

Worked well for first couple months, then this morning I mowed the lawn. At least 1000 steps, shows 11 Earlier: I used another app for a long time but it wasn't accurate. this one seems to be. 2 small complaints I have are: a) when I pull down the screen I still have to tap it to get the current reading. my last one showed it automatically. b) when I go to the weekly and tap the day, the number is so small and in a color that blends too well with the background, making it very difficult to read.

I found the app to be very accurate and does its job well. My only issue is that it drains your phone battery pretty fast, even on battery saver mode. Because of that, I tend to limit my phone use while using the app. Other than that though, I heavily recommend the app. It even includes many features like a calendar for the days you ran and even themes for the display.
