Should of stayed with Paychex Time. With the last update it wants codes to be entered to be able to punch in or out. I put the code they sent in and the app froze. Tried again. They sent a new code. I put it in and app froze up again. Then I get an email saying my account is locked because of too many attempts. If the app would work I would not have to try more than once. It let me punch in but not out. Tried calling the tech support number. Totally worthless.

App was doing fine for two weeks. Now I can't open the app without it shutting down a few seconds later. It made me 5 minutes late for clocking into work and I had to uninstall it just to clock in and the same issues is still happening so now I have had to uninstall it. Again which clocked me out but I can't clock back in and even if I could there is no guarantees it's going to work for me to clock out later!

Overall it is a pretty good app. I enjoy being able to check my hours during the week. It's nice to have all your check stubs right there at your finger tips anytime if you need to look back. I have had some issues with things not loading or loading very slow. I know this could be my phone or where I am but it has happened in locations where other times it's worked. When it didnt load it I got an error message a reason this hasn't happened lately so an update may have fixed it.

I am unable to log in if I am connected to wifi. I am unable to clock into work even while I'm standing in the building because I'm not in an "allowed location" and my hours are never accurate due to this. Overall the user interface is confusing and it's a little difficult to find what I'm looking for. Not impressed in the least and I'd rather just use a computer.

This app is atrocious. It's like every section was programmed by a different person with no communication between them. The time entry system is so different it doesn't even look like the same app. And once you enter that section, you have to choose the app and login again to b free able to access pay and messages, etc. I only continue to use it because I don't really have a choice with my company.

This app is constantly deleting my saved login info. I have had to re-setup my credentials on the app no less than 5 times in the past month. It takes FOREVER for the actual clock-in button to appear. I have legitimately lost work time because the button will not load. There have been times it was so slow that I had time to find an empty work computer, log in to it, log in to the paychex website, and use that clock in and the app still won't have loaded.

Bare minimum, read only access to your information for the most part. The retirement section is especially lacking in detail. The app itself feels like one of those lazy iOS first back ported to Android affairs. Where it has the navigation paradigm of the iPhone. Developers please kindly implement "going back". Every single time I slide my finger in from the left it asks if I want to log out. I do not I want to to go to the previous screen. You know like everywhere else in Android.

I've run into formatting issues where I won't be able to scroll all the way down or view the whole page without resizing my screen on my phone manually in order to view the link to sign documents. Also not receiving important reminders through my email just on the app's email. My settings are to receive notifications through my email and it's not working. Overall frustrated with this interface in general . Not real clear on instructions.

I keep getting a "request header too long" error when I try to use the time and attendance tab. The only "fix" I've been offered is to uninstall and then reinstall, which then requires me to go through logging in and seeing up my fingerprint again so I can use the app quickly. If fixed, I'd give it a rather higher ranking, but until it is, it's hard to respect an app that was written poorly enough to be able to screw up when interacting with its own company's servers.

Absolute embarrassment of an app. If it opens at all, good luck logging in. It will tell you your correct username and password are wrong and when you reenter it, it will take it like it's gonna work and just buffer endlessly. The only option is to "log out" where it then takes you to the same log in page with a translucent "sign in" button meaning you can't press it so you're not longer able to log it. The option to use the finger print sensor is just not there anymore. Garbage has more utility

This app is terrible so far. Seems like a good concept, but only works maybe once out of every 10 to 15 attempts for me. Always has an error of not being able to connect to the server. When it does log me in, the location doesn't work correctly because even when standing at work, tells me I'm not in an allowed location to clock in/out. My boss has had to fix my time card more times than I've had across my last 3 jobs using normal time clocks.

Slowest app on my Pixel 5 phone. From launching the app, until I'm punched in, is anywhere from 20 seconds to 1 minute. Sometimes it just loads forever when signing in, and I have to close and restart the app. Sometimes the punch in just hangs for 10-20 seconds. This slowness has been around for at least a year and feels like it's getting worse. Doesn't seem like they're ever going to address it.

Bad, buggy, reported bugs not fixed. I've been unable to check my payperiod hours for years. My pay period ended or started on 2/29 of a leap year and that completely confused the app. The new issue that is causing me to leave this review is the fact the app is complaining about version, and requiring upgrade. However, no updated version is available on the play store.

ZERO STARS if possible since Nov. 2022 update. On Android, I haven't been able to log in at all. It requires a fingerprint, then a one-time PIN, and then it spins...and spins...and spins. I've let it sit for over 30 minutes and it still wouldn't log in. Force closing doesn't help. On iPhone, it isn't much better. EVERY.SINGLE.LOGIN requires fingerprint, then text message, and then sometimes it tells me it timed out so it logs me out and I have to restart the process over again. Such regression.

This app has been absolutely horrible since the last update on 10/14/22! 9 out 10 days I have not been able to either clock in or out, mostly in. It can't find my location when I'm at the office or it doesn't even acknowledge that I have touched my screen. I've been using it 6 months & at least once a week it closes all my tiles & I have to turn them back on, just so I can clock out. The app is very slow to clock in/out, sits & spins. Very frustrating!

This app is irritating on a daily basis. Super slow app. Have to type your whole password every time to login, no biometric or pin option. Automatically logs out too quickly. Not the easiest to understand unless you have the exact same schedule everyday. The inter-app buttons are not responsive or slow to respond most of the time. The good: it functions, captures time, pay stubs easily accessible and easy to read. I do not recommend, especially not for contractors/freelancers.

With the covid 19 pandemic, I find it essential to be able to clock in and out by phone app. The accuracy of the location feature is a joke making clocking in and out by app nearly impossible. Today, i walked about 30 feet and the location on the app had me jump about 20 miles to the other side of town. The problem with the app accuracy is 100% NOT my phone or phone service. The ADP app I used last week for the same purpose worked perfectly with pinpoint accuracy within feet.....not miles.

Requiring an update to log in, but not having the update available in the playstore is just another gripe in a long list. The Paychex Time app was great, worked quickly, and never had issues. The Flex app itself takes forever to sign in, has no option to stay signed in, and is clunky enough that pulling out a laptop and signing into the website is almost always the correct option.

This might be the most annoying, unusable app out there. It constantly has to text you for verification to let you sign in. Sometimes 5-6 times in a row... At what point does it just know that it's me... It's the same device, the same everything. Also, it's super slow to load. Literally if your company has you use this to clock in, expect to need to sign in a couple minutes early because it will absolutely take that long for the app to load. This app needs to be simplified. It's a total mess.

User interface is cumbersome and not easy to use. Especially at management level. Difficult to navigate and not visually appealing. Syncing employee schedules to Google calendar is nice. Very difficult to alter schedules from the app. Highly recommend using the web version for any management activities.
