While the controls take a moment to get used to, the voice acting isn't the greatest, and a few other quirks, the game is well made and about as close as you can get to Dark Souls on mobile right now. I'd recommend perhaps allowing players with a controller to change the control scheme? Or maybe provide a "Dark Souls" option for the controls when using a controller. I didn't play long, but immediately with how much it felt like Dark Souls I bought the DLC.. I mean it's only $1.

Although a very good souls like derivative, It lacks customization of your characters weapon and gear, Has no magic, sorcery, Pyromancy or Any long distance combat other than a very underpowered gun of Some sort. Dodging is about what you would expect on mobile. Functional with a few minor problems. There is no poise, Enemies can interrupt your Attacks quite easily And as you can only use heavy weapons with slow attack speeds. You are open to constant counter attack. Has a very unique gamescape.

First off great, game a few technical issues like camera being a little wonky and some issues with enemy ai. But a souls like game on mobile seems to have issues with the mobile audience. Most of the one star reviews seem to be from people who haven't played a souls like before and want their hand to be held throughout the game. No there isn't a map and waypoints and mission markers, the game is designed to be difficult. It's not for everyone but for a mobile souls like game it's fantastic.

Thank for this exceptional game. The battles are great, the game play runs so smooth I can't believe it. The graphics are a 10. Why only 4 stars? Well it would be 5 if my camera didn't get stuck every 10 20 battles I get in. If you can fix it then I'll give 5. Have a fantastic day. Edit: so I've been playing for awhile and I have loved this one alot I didn't mess with the controls that much but there getting a lot worse with every update. I press them and nothing. I'm going to work on it

Hi! Thank you for the timely response! I closed and reopened the game for a second time and it works! I think the error occurs when the sign in process is interrupted. I played for a bit and LOVE it so far. Nice mix of the fast pace of Bloodborne and slower paced Dark Souls, though I feel this approach can leave players wanting more from one or the other. I myself prefer the extremes over an intermediate pace. I wish there was pyromancy and voice acting could be better. The challenge is good fun

This game shows that if you want to play something of quality you can't expect anything from free games. Pascals Wager feels like a console game. Its a real challenge. The graphics are Xbox quality, which is great for a mobile device. It's truly a great game. The only issue is the touchscreen controls are sometimes unresponsive, which docks my score from a 5 to a 4 star. (I have no control issues with my Bluetooth controller. The controller makes this game much, much better. Highly recommend.)

From what I played so far, the game plays smoothly with good graphics. Only issue I've noticed is that the controller support is broken. As of right now there's only 1 button that works. I have a Pixel 3XL running Android 11. Giving it 5 stars as the game is still good with touch controls. If possible, please fix in the next update. Update: I play with a PS4 controller and only one button work.

A pretty solid game in general! The controls feel smooth and combos are easy to use. Graphics are too notch as well, and the game doesn't lag. I was going to complain about the lack of a minimap but after playing through several levels memorizing the map has gotten easier, so for beginners to these types of games just keep playing and you'll get used to it. Edit: thanks for replying! Will definitely check out any other games you guys put out in the future. Keep up the good work!

Solid game overall. A variety of playstyles that let's adjust based on preference. Graphics are good, and the maps provide a great variety of environments. Combat is a bit clunky, and navigation is somewhat confusing if you aren't familiar with these types of games. A lot of inadvertent grinding comes from wandering. I wish there was a navigation guide without adjusting the game difficulty Voice Acting/Story is a low B, but you can tell it's from non native English speakers trying their best.

My biggest issue is how stiff the joy pad feels. This is probably partly due to the walk/run setup, but it's still a pain. The attack and dodge buttons seem to be misaligned. I have to hit the very edges to get them to work, hitting the center does nothing. Not sure if this is an app issue or a device one tbh. Aside from that, I haven't noticed anything else problematic. The addition of a sanity feature is neat, though a toggle option in Casual would be nice. Overall very solid game, worth it.

Within my 20 minutes of messing around and learning how to play the game it's honestly good. Considering it's a mobile game I'm kinda impressed. I had to get my controller and it made the experience better. Definitely has a souls/witcher feel but still has its own identity. The voice acting is a bit... lacking. I turned it off but that isn't enough to warrant a star loss or bad review. The app did black screen once, force close/clear cache didn't work and was forced to clear data to fix it

I've played a few different attempts at games like this on Android and none of them really get the feel right. This one, however, plays very well, runs very well, has a lot of options for a range of devices, and a good set of options for growing your character. movement and combat are smooth and it feels good to control, animations aren't jerky or stilted and moves flow into each other in a good way. For four dollars it's great, you could do a hell of a lot worse at that price point.

This game is fantastic! The visuals are pretty good for a mobile game, somewhere between PS3 and PS4 with a dark fantasy setting akin to dark souls. It also plays similar to Dark Souls and does so quite well (at least with a controller, I haven't tried the on screen buttons). It's combat is fun and feels weighty. The map design and layouts are also a high point. It's only downfall is the voice acting. It's sub par and doesn't always match the writing. But over all, money well spent.

I love this game. It offers a very good "Souls-like" experience. The graphics are fantastic for mobile and, at moments, feel like you're playing a console game, save for the paper-like background outside of the carriage while riding it. Controls, both touch and gamepad, are adequate and easily usable, although, either I'm stupid or something, but I can't find a sprint button. Story and voice-acting are well done, as well. Thus far, I've had no issues (bugs) with the game and it's very solid.

Overall I really like this game. Touch screen controls are not good, the buttons on screen do not always line up with where you need to press. Sometimes a restart fixes this. But this game really shines when using a controller. Much easier to play. It's a fun game with challenging combat and I like the difficulty. Graphics are good for mobile. Voice acting is pretty bad but better than no voice acting. Thanks for making a good souls-like mobile game!

Game looks and plays well (considering it's a mobile game), but one single bug ruins my experience on Android - I play on a tablet with a gamepad attached, and each time my character rests, the mobile control overlay re-appears on screen and must be manually re-disabled. It happens every single time when playing with a physical gamepad, connected either via bluetooth or an OTG cable. If you could correct this problem, it would make me very happy and I would raise my rating. Thanks.

Amazing, I beat the first boss and im in the second area, this has everything you can love/hate about a soulsborne game. The level design is better than expected, the music is fantastic, and the aesthetic is flawless. Drawbacks: -no button mapping is the biggest issue, I want to block with R1 and use items with X/square -unable to customize touchscreen controls, it would be nice to hide parts of the UI when using a controller -no offline mode, kinda sucks Fix any 1 of those, I'll buy it twice.

This game is pretty good when you play with a controller or game pad. However, the touch controls images aren't lined up properly leading to a situation where you touch attack or guard and nothing happens but you touch slightly to the right and it registers that input. All in all it's a pleasant souls like experience on a mobile platform and that's pretty cool.

By far the best soulslike game on Android, the attack speed is definitely slower in this game than others but once you get used to it, its fluid. My only problem is that when using a controller the onscreen controls pop up everytime you leave the shrine menu, the only way to get rid of them is pausing and unplausing. Which wouldn't be a problem but the thing is, you can't map a button to the pause menu so you have to take your hands off your controller and tap the screen

The game has what a dark fantasy RPG needs. An intriguing story with a dark theme. The controls, with a control are good, yes it can take time to adjust to the timing but it is mechanically around. The only thing that could improve is simple systems, such as touch screen control overlay. One personal touch I would like introduced would be the ability to play co-op. The system can support it because of the two character swap. Just opt out of the function for an additional player.
