I love walking around and testing it against things that aren't even instruments but I can make a pitch out of or church bells. I did have an old piano to tune which was very helpful. I hope that I will find the app after I switch to Ubuntu touch!! I am so done with Android.( I hate having to throw away perfectly good phones just because the manufacturer refuses to put out software updates so the hardware can do basic functions, keep up with the Android releases. Love the app put it on Ubuntu

as a horn player i often will leave this app open on my stand in orchestra and wind band throughout the entire rehearsal. i have a few other tuner apps on my phone but this one is my favorite. i like it most because if I'm holding a note even while the rest of the ensemble is warming up, the tuner displays only the note I'm playing with seemingly zero disturbance. The ads can be distracting in rehearsal tho and they have made me miss an entrance or two. but to be fair it's a free app.

Former 5 Star review: Easy to use. Great for alternate tunings. Update: Sadly, the new version of the free app is terrible. Visually, it has no style and is completely generic. Practically, it is harder to read than the old one. There is no simple way to exit the app, an annoying app trend. Obviously, they want you to pay now for what was free last year by just downgrading the free product to something no one would want.

This used to be my favorite tuner. Now there seems to be some adjustment to microphone sensitivity that is not working well for me. I'm sitting in a quiet room with an unplugged electric guitar and it will not pick up the sound of the strings unless the body of my guitar is basically touching the phone. This thing used to pick up notes from across the room but now barely picks up my guitar?? I saw some reviews where people complain about it being too sensitive. Maybe make that adjustable??

This one was great for a long time, but has become inaccurate after the newest update. I tune reed instruments for a living and this was my go-to app. After the update in May to V1.2.8.0, the app now reads an A at 440 Hz, 3 cents flatter than before. I have confirmed this to the prior version I had installed on a phone that wasn't updated yet. That's a pretty big difference when you're tuning for accuracy. For now I guess I'll be setting the tuner to A 439.7 and shopping for a new app.

I love this tuner! It would be 5 stars, if I could adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. This thing picks up the air conditioning vent noise (which runs right between B and Bd by the way). As long as I'm louder it's no issue, but add in a few people talking, other instruments tuning up and sound checks, it becomes impossible to use. It's the only online tuner that can read my low B string as a B as well. Edit: still looking for that microphone sensitivity addition to this app.

I've had this app for a few years and it was the absolute best tuning app available (for free or for a paid app). It heard the pitches perfectly and at the exact moment the body of the pitch reaches the ear, which is what you want to tune to. No app did this better. Fortunately, I still have the old version of it because I had turned updates off. Installed it again several days ago on 2 different new phones and now it doesn't even hear some of the pitches correctly. Please change it back!

This is a great app for piano tuning. I have used other tuning devices & apps, but this one is the ONE. At first, the large black on white letters seem confusing to me. If the letter is to the right, the string need to be tuned up, this is the opposite compared to all other apps. I found that there is a smaller slider above it which give accurate measurement. This slider moves to the right when tune up and left when tune down. A great indicator that I am tuning the correct string. First time I got my piano tuned to my satisfaction, thanks to this PANO TUNER app. That saves me 100 bugs to hire someone ( who could likely bring the Covid-19 to my home !!!) Guitars, mandolins, violins have few strings, not worth to mention how well this app helps to tune them to pitch.

As a registered piano technician I can decide the best stretch by ear. This app shows me very accurately whether a wire has changed from the pitch I intended. (The app validates my ear and my ear validates the app--we agree.) The app is much faster at showing whether a pitch has slipped. Age has dulled my ear in the top half octave, but the app can hear all the way to the top on every piano. On the lowest few notes on all but the best pianos the app does not do well and I use aural tests--probably because fundamental frequencies are absent.

This is the best tuning app I've found so far. It's a little confusing compared to other apps as to whether you need to go up or down, but the response time to the plucked string is good, and there's no weird flashing lights like some others I've tried. I hate that they spelled piano wrong, but after trying many tuning apps, this one is satisfactory. I like that I can change how precise it is, and the value of A for my students that don't like 440 🙄

This app provides many features that couldn't be found before all in one place. You can customize the user interface as well. My favorite features are being able to set A=x amount of hertz. This lets me experiment with historical tunings when I pair it with the temperament feature. I think despite having some advanced features, this app is great for beginners out of the box and doesn't require any technical or theoretical knowledge to use.

I love this tuner. It's simple, it's easy to see, and it does exactly what I need it to do without a bunch of buggy junk. The only thing that threw me was that the default readout was "backwards" from what I was used to ("flat" was to the right), but I was able to change that in the settings, no problem. It's solid, reliable, straightforward, and great for old eyes ... 5 stars, and thanks, developers!

It's fantastic. Yes, the banner ads get annoying, and I wouldn't use it for professionally setting intonation (buy a strobe tuner for that, ffs). But for a free app that keeps me from needing to carry 1 extra thing around (a tuner), with all of the options that it has available (to change display, note order, pitch/A not stuck at 440), and passable accuracy, it's amazing. And its fully chromatic (the app I used before only alhad that in the paid version). For a free app, easily 5 stars.

No data collection ! Thank You! I left G-strings because of this. I like that it's a flexible chromatic tuner, with simple intuitive display. Things that could improve IMO: Portrait or Landscape modes; Also low to high should be left to right; not the other way around! (or at least have an option for that).Mic sensitivity needs attention for quiet instruments. And one reviewer said it is 3 cents off in accuracy since recent update: that is super important to fix of course.

I've been using this app almost daily for 7-8 years. It is simple and does exactly the one function it's supposed to do. No extra bells and whistles, but it gets its one job done correctly and doesn't need a WiFi connection to run. The one tiny annoyance is that the default setting puts sharp tunings on the left and flat tunings on the right. That probably works well in countries with right->left writing systems, but not mine. It's easily switched in the settings, though. Love this app!

I've used this app for years and have been extremely satisfied! It's simple and easy to use interface makes tuning a breeze. By default, the tuning dial reads from right to left (which I have found a bit disorienting) but the settings let you change this easily. Ads in this app are placed very tactfully. In fact, the ads are a small banner at the top, out of the user's way and not in your face.

I really like Pano Tuner. The display is very precise, and it allows adjustment of the primary tuning frequency to help match hard to tune instruments like pianos. It doesn't have preset tuning sets for guitars like some apps do, but that's not as important to me. It's very sensitive, though, and it picks up people talking in the next room. I also like that is doesn't seem to have video ads that interrupt you while you're tuning your instrument. The ads are small and out of the way. It would be nice to customize the display, but other than that, I think Pano Tuner is the best tuner a smartphone can have.

Been using since 2017. Simple, intuitive, great interface. All the options you need in a chromatic tuner for acoustic instruments (calibration, sensitivity, display, etc). Tracks well. The ads were fairly unobtrusive but the app works so well to tune acoustic instruments I had no hesitation paying for it. It is even better without the ads.

Has nice features, but messed up on something very important: it got left/right as sharp and flat backwards. Sharp should be to the right, not to the left. Absolutely counterintuitive. Messed me up during a studio season. While i really like everything else about it, i have to use a different app; i can't risk making the same mistake. (There doesn't seem to be a setting to reverse this.)

I use it with alternate tunings and frequency 432 etc. move things around, never just standard 440, never! chords as well, great for transposing! While creating strange and beautiful chords, open tunings also.... Thanks again! Can't tell you how many times this app has been used, so handy! tuning friends acoustic and electric guitars... Thanks again!
