More About OXENFREE II: Lost Signals

Available exclusively for Netflix members.
Shadowy cult members. Ghostly radio signals. Spacetime portals. Investigate a dark new mystery in this interactive story game set in a familiar world.

TVs turn on and off. Planes lose radar. Radio stations can't broadcast through the static. In the small coastal town of Camena, unnaturally occurring electromagnetic waves are suddenly causing interference with electrical and radio equipment. Reluctantly, Riley Poverly returns to her hometown to investigate the mystery, but what she finds is more than she bargained for.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is the mind-bending follow-up to the critically-acclaimed narrative adventure game OXENFREE from Night School, a Netflix Game Studio. Play the new story as a standalone, or dive deeper into the OXENFREE universe by playing the original to find connections — it's your choice. As you play, you'll shape the story through your choices. How you choose to deal with the supernatural events at hand will forever alter the future in this thrilling story.

YOUR CHOICES MATTER

• Shape everything through your conversations and dialogue choices: Forge a deep friendship with an old acquaintance from high school or opt to ignore a lost fisherman in need.

• Your choices influence who Riley becomes, your relationships and the story options available to you.

START CHATTER FROM ANYWHERE

• Use an all-new walkie talkie conversation system to chat with contacts and uncover useful insights about the mysteries of Camena. Ask for info, check in with the locals, or completely ignore them. It's your call to make — and your choices have consequences.

STOP A MYSTERIOUS CULT

• Five years ago on nearby Edwards Island, a few teenagers unwittingly opened a portal, creating a rift between realities and timelines. Now, members of a mysterious cult-like group called Parentage are deliberately trying to open a new portal to pull something out. Who are they? What do they want? Are they trying to contact ghosts?

TUNE-IN TO THE RADIO

• Ghostly signals are piercing through the frequencies of Camena. Tap into the eerie sounds and static using OXENFREE's signature radio mechanic.

• Communicate with the supernatural, manipulate the world and travel to the past by tuning into time tears: unnatural fissures in the time-space continuum.

SAVE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING

• Your future was on the line in OXENFREE and those stakes are even higher in the story of OXENFREE II.

• Explore, climb and rappel across Camena’s beautifully treacherous landscape. Take risks and see where the story takes you. It might be dangerous and scary. But it could also save the future. Not only for Riley but for everyone.

The story line was absolutely amazing and although it wasn't as exciting as the first game, I still enjoyed it a lot. The art style and the details still wowed me even after the first game and I thank the creators for taking time out of their days to create this masterpiece of a game.

I loved the first game and was so excited to play this one. It is such a cozy, mysterious game with multiple replay options. I'm from the Pacific Northwest so this game, and the first, gave me such homey feels like I was near Pudget Sound all over again. I completed my first play through and can't wait to play it again!

Bugged out towards the end of the game (I assume). On the way to the ghost town and I can not make it across the bridge without my screen freezing and flashing. Other than that I was digging it! I'd love to be able to complete the game.

I absolutely love this game. I downloaded this when I played the first Oxenfree on my firestick. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because the game does not save where you leave off. It saves where it gives you the checkpoint. Otherwise great. No ads°

Bugged, don't install. Still at the first area and can't leave at all to the Copper Creek Path, neither up at the area exit nor down by the parking lot exit. Spent a lot of time trying to restart and reinstall the game too. Saw online that several people have the same issue as I do. Horrible bug for such a well known game that I was looking forward to for so long and now can't even play it...

Great story, as the first. Would improve text size and/or add a zooming function as almost impossible to read text on phone even when toggled. Buttons in general are tiny. I would have also liked a pause button for long dialogue sequences if I got interrupted so I could continue later. Would also be nice to fast travel to previously discovered areas on the map or at least plot a course on the map without constant tapping for multiple screens. Also a recap would be nice of the previous game.

Absolutely amazing game. Both 1 and 2. It really makes you think and feel. My only issue is that I wish we had an option to romance a character if we wished in both the games. I get that this focuses on interpersonal relationships for the character family and friend-wise, but it would've been nice to have the option. Anyway, Night School Studio, hit me up if you want a voice actor for future projects. I don't care if all I am is an extra buying bread for 1 second of the game. Love this game. XD

More polished than the 1st one, but I did prefer playing the original. This one is definitely superior on mobile but I should have played on PC, which is how I preferred the 1st game, might have had a different opinion. I found myself just wanting to move the story forward and not care too much about exploring, which is a shame because it does almost everything right, just kind of less interesting than the original. Hard to explain, but I would recommend 1st one on PC before this one.

5 stars of you like watching series, the art is beautiful and relaxing, the dialogs are natural, fresh and the voices are adapted to the places, muffled when inside and echoed when on caves, I enjoyed this game as mich as the first one, just cuddling my phone in my hands and ejoying the story, which is interesting, give it a try, this is a gem.

I'm only a few minutes into the game, and I'm already confused as to how on earth I'm supposed to move on to the next part of the map! I've tried holding my finger down on the prompt, I've tried lightly tapping it, and I've tried tapping the arrow, I've tried just waiting for it to move on itself, but nothing works! The character just stands there instead of moving on! It's stupid that I am stuck so early on in the game! I can see the potential, but it's pointless if I can't play it!

This is a criticism of the port, not the game itself. I'm using one of the larger phones available and the screen is is just zoomed out way too far to see any detail in the environment. The text is legible but I could hardly see anything going on - gonna put down twenty bucks and pick this up on console.

Very fun, and feels very much like the original, without resting too much on it's predicessor. Quality of life fixes to conversation interruptions was a nice touch, and the speed of the characters was a much need change. There is a pretty consistent crashing issue right now however.

I was super pump to play this game cause I played the 1st on on my Switch, and when I heard it was free if you have a Netflix account on your phone I was super stoked to play!!! But just off the start I can't change the radio station on my Samsung 10+ so therefore I can't even proceed to even play, once that's fix I'm sure I'd love the game. PLEASE FIX THE STATION SETTING I CANT CHANGE THE RADIO STATION ON MY PHONE

Loved the first game. I just started this one, but I have one issue using a controller. The right stick does not work to change channels. It can be done with touch screen, but most of the time it will register a click to make the character move. I will update If I finish the game or if the issue gets patched.

The additional star is because this is a great game! But the choices on Netflix's part, or rather the lack thereof, make the game a headache to play. The movement controls like to glitch to random spots, text on collectibles is too small to read without straining, and it burns through my battery something AWFUL. I couldn't even complete the game because the ability to switch channels doesn't work on anything besides the radio which basically removes whole storylines of the game. The port is bad

While not as strong as the first, Oxenfree 2 still managed to tell a captivating story with some great writing and beautiful background art. Less horror and more think piece, but all around a worthwhile experience. I did experience a game breaking bug but submitted a QA ticket and it was patched within a week. Also, if you run into any issues, reinstalling the game won't delete your saved game file and may fix the problem.

Even though the game is not as narratively strong as the first, the plot is still engaging, the supporting characters are enjoyable, and the scares are better. There are several small issues. The collectibles and map are both difficult to read, mostly because you're unable to zoom in. Also, sometimes, an area transition indicates a conversation will continue, and it will not after the load screen. Besides these issues, this game is worth a download for a short entertaining story.

Fantastic mystery, great story, cool mechanics. The dialog choices really effect the feel of the game in ways no other "choose your own adventure" games ever have. Will replay! *My Android phone had a bug at the start of the game where the swipe controls to change walkie-talkie channel didn't work, halting progress, but support acknowledged me and looked for solution. Meanwhile I did a reinstall and allowed an update to install before playing. BUG WAS GONE AND GAME PLAYED AS IT SHOULD.

Some controls are sloppy. Time sensitive parts of the game are mired because it will register a tap in the wrong place, and u will miss a story prompt. Collectibles are unreadable ( the camera is too far away, font is microscopic-no ability to zoom in at all). The story is great. Acting is great. Needs a zoom badly.

Needs optimizing I guess, overall I believe I'm still 5% of finishing the game, just finished the first signal disruption, mysterious radiowaves spirits. So here's the thing, I don't know what causes it but sometime at some point mostly in all parts the game is sluggish, can be observed by how sluggish the characters walk. The conversation is also sluggish, not really a smooth gameplay I believe it's not my phone, I have 8gb of ram. Prolly a small fix in-game is needed.
