When using guided brushing, the app regularly gets confused on where I'm brushing, thus giving me a low score. I don't know how the calibrations are set for positioning so I can't tell if its due to my left handedness or maybe my height. It is nice to have the various little reminders for functions ans brush head replacements. I am a little miffed by the timer being half off screen on guided with my Z Fold.

Works decent, but there should be an option to turn off the thing that monitors the pressure of the toothbrush. And also to be able to continue a brushing session after stopping it for just a second. And also for the app to show what part of your teeth you're brushing, because the image it shows on the screen can be confusing because I'm brushing that spot but it isn't changing on the image.

really should be able select how many and exactly which teeth you actually have so that your not spending unnecessary time holding the brush on your gums for those who have had extractions and can't afford partials just to get the app to make a section of the guided brushing to turn white. i doubt I'm the only one who's felt this way and it can't be too hard to write that into the app. strong suggestion!! would be greatly appreciated. otherwise i love the app it's awesome in every other way

This app (and toothbrush) is a joke! It's totally useless, a gimmick. It's supposed to sense your brushing, and show you if you're brushing correctly. But it fakes it. You can not go anywhere near your front teeth, and it'll tell you they're clean, and give you a score of 100%. Worst of all, the feedback (data) is not actionable, so for instance, if you score 90 out of 100, it doesn't tell you why, so you have no idea of what to do better, which is the whole reason for the toothbrush.

You did an upgrade to the app in May 2024, which took the app from awesome to zero. The brush is awesome by itself. Per the app, it doesn't record time correct, buttons are out of format, awards well, and who gets up after midnight to brush their teeth? You can't adjust the app if you have missing teeth. Fire the app marketing team and start over.

Great brush. This is a rating for the app - terrible BT connectivity has returned to Oral B. Almost always requires restarting the app, sometimes three or four times. Frequently connects first as an Unguided Session, then has to be closed (WiFi version). Compared to Sonicare (with admitted other problems) which connects solidly first time, every time. Coupled with multiple duplicate sessions rates a 2 at best, generously. Hey Oral B, you have to connect the brush to actually USE the app.

The app is pretty detailed and accurate but the one area of improvement I'd like to see is the ability to map missing teeth. I had a couple teeth pulled after an abscess so the little mouth map layout on the app doesn't fit my teeth. This app may be less accurate and, consequently, less effective for people with missing/atypical teeth.

The timer breaks (gets set to 0:00) if you don't manually stop it before it stops automatically, which happens to me all the time... Sessions with a time of 0:00 also don't show up in the recent history graph and completely ruin all timer related stats in the app. That's kind of a massive problem, but other than that the app is fine.

I left an iO4 brush unused for a few months, and now it flat-out cannot reconnect to the phone app (using the in-app pairing function), even after removing the device from the app and repeatedly enabling/disabling Bluetooth on the brush. "Luckily" the brush retained my settings and stays in Gentle mode, with the other modes now inaccessible. Incidentally, the app can only remember one paired brush. I had left the iO4 as the paired one, intending to revisit it, but it was all for naught.

The app is only fair. It doesn't track the toothbrush position in your mouth very well, frequently getting "lost" on which set of teeth you're actually brushing. It also occasionally won't connect to the toothbrush, requiring a restart to work and track a session. Update: I try exactly what Oral B suggests in their response every time the app gets lost. It helps a little bit. But, the app position tracking is poor, as reviewed. Based on Oral Bs response, they don't get it.

it's ok, it does not properly track what teeth you are brushing, but it does offer good advice. If it was better at tracking the section you are brushing I would give it 5 stars. Also it tells you to turn on tongue brushing mode... but doesn't tell you how, and booklet it comes with has no mention of a tongue brushing mode... so only 3 stars. Needs a lot of improvement for functionality.

not able to login to my account on pixel 8 pro. no problems on my iPhone so far. still have problems after reinstalling app. found the error. I was able to make a second registration in the android app with the same e-mail address that i use in iOS already. so, no syncing between iOS and Android anymore. i have 2 separate accounts with the same email login now. so i guess this error is on your side, not mine.

After using this for a couple months, the app needs a lot of work. Sometimes it doesn't start a session right and I have to restart the app. Goals tell me to use modes my brush doesn't even have. Very inaccurate with where I'm currently brushing. Random unguided sessions randomly pop into my history that never happened. Session time constantly gets logged wrong (always over 2 minutes but sometimes it says 30 seconds or even 0)

I like the visualisation of where you have brushed, there is a little lag but it's helpful. What is less than ideal is that there is no way to set up a profile per person. My wife's brushes show up as unguided sessions in my profile and even in edit mode you cannot delete them or assign them to a 2nd profile. Frustrating given that many households will share a brush and have their own brushheads and different brushing profile/style.

Brush is great. App... gets annoying when it won't connect to the brush. I've double checked the Bluetooth is on, tried the recommended steps, but some days it doesn't seem to work. What's the point of the app if it doesn't track or connect? None of my instructions include the Bluetooth pairing Pin & I tried both recommended ones.😕

It's awesome when it works but position detection is hit or miss. It's very frustrating to get a low brushing score when the app isn't recognizing that you did hit all areas. There's no work around for it, you just have to take the hit. Sometimes it starts as an unguided session, no rhyme or reason for that & if you back out to get the guided session to pop up it dings you. The toothbrush is too expensive for the app not to work as it should. Edit suggestion doesn't help

7/24 update: Way to not read my review, guys. I literally followed those steps and it does NOT connect. I'm not an idiot. Original: Won't connect. I don't have power-saving enabled, I don't have any other BT devices connected, and I can clearly see my toothbrush if I look at my Android Bluetooth device list. The wife's Sonicare connects flawlessly every single time. Lost a customer!

Can't see current toothbrush mode, it's covered by the "press harder" caption. And yes if you press harder so the toothbrush is in your mouth you can see the setting, now that it's covered in toothpaste and the button is out of sight. You have to turn it on and apply pressure to the head to see the setting on your phone. OR the app could just show you the pressure independently of showing the mode. There's room on the screen for both.

App keeps losing connection to brush. Very frustrating. Only way to fix is uninstall and reinstall app. Should never have purchased oral b brush. Recently, this issue resolved itself, but it was replaced by 2 new issues. Now, when brushing on daily maintenance setting, suddenly the app switches me to tongue brushing setting and cuts the session short after 30 seconds. Messed up my stats. Also, gentle brushing settings are now gone. Called support and was given suggestions that didn't work.

App connectivity to the toothbrush is inconsistent. It usually recognizes it, but sometimes doesn't, and the brushing session doesn't get recorded. And since upgrading to a new phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra), every time I open the app I get two system prompts to pair with "io sense". Disappointed that the flagship Series 10 connectivity is so poor.
