Android users don't jump on this yet. lots of features are missing. the Android version is still in progress. So far, I have no gems, cant exclude apps, and I can't add my friends. I will change my rating when I get the features from Android. Also this app is low-key unnecessary because we have built into our phones; Android MODES and Android app timers. I had an apple friend get me on this and it was so esthetically pleasing, worth the download. but we lack features, I'm not going to keep it.

amazing app concept that only works some of the time. just way too glitchy, for example it has me log in again if i open the app and create a new account every time. Before an update, it wouldnt let me log in but still blocked the apps. It is genuinely helpful so i re-downloaded. It still has me login and create a username every time but too helpful to delete

I have just used the free version for about 2 weeks now. I really love the accountability I'm facing with myself, and having the tools to make hard changes. we're all addicted to our phones on some level, out of necessity or desire for distraction. But this is a priceless tool everyone needs to accomplish more than staring at a screen.

Great app. I loved it on ios and now its on android. Everything is just as great, but the only issue I have is how much battery it is consuming. I checked and it consumes a ton of wifi packets. I'm sure it can function just as well without accessing wifi or data. Hope the developers correct this.

The reminders of this app are really helpful to me to stop scrolling. If I have an app running, however, it often will not block the app or override it. Spotify will keep playing but I can't open the app. Instagram will keep playing until I close it and it try to open it again. So it definitely requires discipline to shut off the apps when it's time. If you didn't have that self-discipline I'm not sure this app would help you develop it.

it's not very often that I gave a review, but this time it's well worth it. I love the app, on IOS. It's a well thought, polished idea that works really really well. But on Android I don't know what to say other than poorly executed. The app is not even close to the IOS version, and more often than not displays some weird behaviour, not to say about the complete difference in visual and user experience of the two. I have an annual subscription of the app and I'm still seeing ads here on android.

EDIT: They fixed it!!! 5 stars for this wonderful app, it helped me so much with my productivity! OLD REVIEW: good to use so far but everytime i open the app i need to enter my mobile number and otp. at some point the otp texts stopped sending and i was unable to access the app. i had to uninstall for now. would use again once the issue is fixed.

The app is amazing and has good use. But it lags so much it's almost unable to use. You can't even scroll without it lagging. I use this on a pixel 7 , and I have a friend who uses this app on a iPhone 12 pro and it runs w out any issues or lags. so I have come to a conclusion that the lag is mostly caused by the compatibility w android. so hope this issue will be fixed in the recent future.

Used to love it. Opal helped me balance my habits and life. Now a built in pop up (claim my break?!) distracts me and makes the temptation worse than ever. It requires the user to briefly play. a garbage video game. There's no work around. Absolutely counter productive to the purpose and concept to this app. Opal, fire the decision maker who approved this change. I'll be uninstalling.

After granting permissions (likely Accessibility with full control of the device), the app becomes extremely laggy and even crashes when I open the report page. Every action—switching tabs, pressing buttons, or scrolling—takes over a second to respond. Reinstalling or restarting doesn’t help. If I log in right after installation, it doesn’t ask for permissions, so no app block is applied (display over, accessibility,...aren’t granted) and it runs smoothly. This might indicate another issue.

It's amazing and is working really well! I'd just like the ability to set a time limit for an app for a specific time of day (e.g. a 30 min time limit for the morning only and then another 30 min time limit at night)

Recommended from an ios user. I don't know about comparative functionality. I rarely exceed the daily 30 minutes I allow for social media but it works beyond that. I do have several issues Blank Notifications - all of them Regular App not responding Feature request An ignore specific app. I use WhatsApp for video calls and we both fall asleep together (long distance) so I don't need you to tell me about it.

It's really helping me realize I don't need half the apps in my phone. I deleted Instagram after 1 week of using it. Can be frustrating at first, specially because you cannot do a break longer than 15min. But after that, you realize how much you don't actually need you phone. Exactly what I was aiming for ☆

HUGE DATA AND BATTERY USAGE! I like that it helped me reduce my screen time, although it has other downsides. My battery is drained way before it was before and my data consumption skyrocketed since I installed the app (I just received the bill and OMG I'm worried). The app consumed more than 20 GB of data since I installed it (October 2025). I mean, it sure helped me reduce my social media time, but I'm not sure if I will keep it because of the battery and data issues.

Was fantastic and effective until they added ads. But maybe that makes it more effective because I can't take a break without watching one which I refuse to do. I gave it a 3 stars because when that ad played, it hijacked my phone. I closed the app to stop the ad and it kept reopening. I shut all apps down and it kept reopening blaring this ad. I ended up restarting my phone to get it to stop.

This app is good but I have encountered a major problem. I put a limit of 120 minutes a day and and set it to hardcore. But every day it says that I've been 2 hours on the phone even tho is just woke up. I have asked your support AI but there was little help in that. And I don't want Instagram to be blocked forever so I have to delete the app if no one can help me.

really good, but I wish I could access the blocks I set up while they are going and without having to watch insanely long ads. I understand the ads when it's before things like taking a break. but I can't even add apps, or extra time to the block. It would be nice if the app only prevented me from doing harmful things, and not from the good things too.

Really good app, holds me accountable, and gives me a cleanse off my phone. The only reason I'm taking a star off is that I wish you could sort like bad apps and good apps, as there are apps I use that I need, like my music tuner, or alarm. It keeps saying those are the "culprits" when I know they're neccesities. Other than that recommendation, really good app

I’d like to give it more stars, but it’s glitching really badly. I made it harder to take breaks, but the timer kept resetting over and over and never actually reached the end so I could take a break and when I tried to switch AM to PM, there didn’t seem to be any option at all. When I tried to adjust the clock it would keep glitching, the hand wouldn’t move to where I dragged it even though the time on top was changing and most buttons wouldn't responded unless I spammed them.

Edit: Tried it again after the update from the developers--it's been working great so far! Docking off a star (for now) due to that registering issue, but I like it so far. Couldn't even get it to start. I tried registering for an account, but it said internal error. Tried restarting the app, same thing. Tried registering via phone number, still no dice. I mean, it looks really promising but if I can't make an account and actually start using it, what's the point?
