Unreliable. Have had messages just flat out not show up even though they show up in other apps. Also coping what Google is doing just made sur eit would never be used or updated. Can't wait for next year when we will be allowed to removed bloat apps like this.

If you coukd have an option to change chat bubble to other than green that would be great. Also allowing group chats to be named. Updating the app to work with the new OxygenOS's conversation settings like bubbles and such would let me be able to do what I think is one of the best features from the new update. If this is fixed I'll change my rating

Though I wanted to use this for organizing Transactional, Promotiinal and others, in the Transactional messages when displaying the messages from each sender it was showing the oldest message with newest messaging time in the display. This was very confusing as you may think that was the newest message which is not.

The app doesn't support selecting, copying and pasting multiple messages in the same instance as most other messaging apps allow you to do. I need this function for work so I'm having to use a third party app with ads. Not great that such a simple yet fundamental function is missing.

Can't receive verifying messages in China, can't edit the SMSC number, it's just grey and blank all the time, even I enter the right number and save it, it disappears! Are you kidding me? What is the use of it if it can't even receive 验证码 in China? Oneplus 12 with OxygenOS.

This most recent update has turned the app into garbage. It auto scrolls and loads messages I'm not telling/asking it to. Which makes the entire app run slower now because it's loading unnecessary things. It's smart ai isn't that smart and can't be turned off. Will be using a third party til they get back together.

BIG PROBLEMS WITH MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES! IT'S JUST TERRIBLE!!! The problem was that I could not send or receive MMS. I searched for a lot of information about the phone settings (changed the configuration of mobile data, the use of Wi-Fi for calls), changed the operator and SIM but nothing helped. Helped to configure-> App and notification-> See all app-> Messaging-> Mobile data and wi-fi-> Disable data usage switch off and on again. The MMS then works correctly!

Messages fail to send constantly and even if the person the text is being sent to doesn't even receive it. Also cannot change the background color of my text and it is bright green and have difficulty reading it. I regret EVER getting this phone. For the price it should run itself! Horrible phone and only good quality is the rapid charge!!!!!

Extremely simplistic messaging app. Can't add new members to a group chat. Can't search within an individual chat to find previous information, you must search all conversations to search for previous information. There is no recall time frame for a chat that's sent so be sure you review every text before you send it. There seems to be a limitation on picture quality when receiving them. It is a decent option if you just want to chat with individuals. For a ONE+ phone, unacceptable.

Even after setting a separate notification sound for messages app, it takes the phone ringtone as notification sound. When ever I receive an sms, it feels like my phone is ringing. So I am not using OnePlus Message app. Also Spam and SMS blocking is not working. Whenever I select any one of these, the app crashes. Need immediate update to sort out the basic feature like this.

This app should never have even been considered as a system app!! It is not user friendly and the only way you can really use the Chat Bot is if someone else has it and enables it!! The CHAT BOT INTERFERES. It is a lot easier and simpler to DOWNLOAD the GOOGLE MESSAGE APP and SET IT as your SMS DEFAULT. You can't remove or delete this lousy app, but you can DISABLE THIS APP IN PERMISSIONS ,and THEN IT will not even show up in your APP LIST or DRAWER. I CANT FIND A RATING LESS THAN ONE STAR!!

It doesn't feel customizable. I mean there are other higher end messager apps that allow you to customize anything and everything from background of the chat group, colors, etc. This is very basic from a company I will always vouch for because they are unique from Samsung, Google, etc. If they added more unique and customizable things I would use this as my set default but until then I recommend to replace your messager.

I only give 2 stars because of a few minor issues and 2 major. The minor issues, as stated by many others, is the lack of color options for message bubbles. Another one is failed sent messages in group texts. Have to delete then resend. The majors are this app's inability to receive sms messages from my bank. I like to get updates on when my separate cards are used. The other is the option to lock messages from deletion. Devs fix these issues and it will be a great app for messaging.

It's decent but it should be superb. I agree with other commenters here, let us react to comments and set up future texts. Even the simplest of phones have that feature. Search within a conversation should be added. One should also have the flexibility of changing the color in the background as well as bubble color. PROS: I love that we can still see blocked messages and call tracing. Very nice.

Seriously disappointed that the "AI" features on this app cannot be opted out of, and the app keeps displaying a reminder on top of messages. This type of intrusiveness is a serious mis-step for OnePlus, in my view. I wonder if OnePlus wants to go the Xiaomi way with intrusive reminders. This is the third such intrusion on OxygenOS, others being the 'red cable club' reminder on top of the settings menu and the 'Oneplus Roaming' reminders. For now, I have replaced the app with Google default app.

Even after setting a seperate ringtone for notifications it takes up the ringtone of the calls . I keep waking up at night every time there is a spam message or message from bank thinking that I have an incoming call. Deleting the app . Please suggest another app which catagorizes the messages

I'm using OnePlus Nord lV2201 this msg app have alot of issues 1. Whenever mobile power on as soon as powers on I get a notification that message crash 2. While using this app same crashing due to which most of the features are not functioning properly some are not at all working.I love the app but is doesn't work.
