Old School RuneScape is RuneScape how you used to know. It was first released in 2013 and is based on RuneScape as it was way back in 2007. It’s the only MMORPG in the world that is shaped by its players, with developers releasing new, regular content that has been voted for by the fans!
The world's largest and most popular MMORPG, Old School RuneScape has been played by over 300 million players since the 2001 release of RuneScape. Old School RuneScape unites the intricate mechanics of modern MMOs with the nostalgic point-and-click gameplay of early role-playing games.

FIGHT EPIC BOSSES

CROSS-PLATFORM GAMEPLAY
Adventure anywhere with an innovative cross-platform approach to mobile gaming, which is truly revolutionary among MMORPGs. Whether you play with mobile or desktop, you’ll be playing on the same account on the same game worlds.

COMMUNITY LED
In Old School RuneScape players decide what new content to vote on. If a proposal is voted for by 70% or more of players, then the developers will add it to the game!
Over 2,800 questions have been polled since Old School RuneScape was released in 2013. That's over 2,800 decisions players have made to help shape the game.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN PATH
Play as the lone adventurer seeking glory through individual challenges, or band together with other heroes to leave your mark on the game. With 23 skills to master, hundreds of lore-filled quests, and dozens of unique raids and bosses to defeat, Old School RuneScape has a challenge for everyone.

EXPLORE GIELINOR
Be the first to traverse Fossil Island and uncover its lost history. Map the heated tropics of the Karamjan jungle, and brave the barren wastes of the Kharidian desert.

HUNDREDS OF QUESTS
Old School RuneScape's many lore-rich quests combines epic puzzles and enchanting narrative with the nostalgic humour of point-and-click adventures. One of the best ports of a PC game for mobile, and easily the best MMO on mobile. Runs great, the UI is easy to manage and operate. Just a total blast to play, and the perfect game if you want something you can keep coming back to. The one issue I've had is I'm unable to switch worlda from the Log in screen, which is an issue since my membership expired

This is by far and large one of the best PC to mobile ports I have ever experienced. So much so that in some spots, it almost feels like this was a game made originally for mobile and ported to PC. The controls are intuitive, touch controls work amazingly with runescapes click to move system, and the settings are on par with runelite. My only recommendation if you download it however is to limit the fps to 30, if not lower. Otherwise this game will demolish your battery life. Highly recommend.

Love this so much! Works great! Only complaint I have (which could totally be my phones fault) is that the game crashes after a certain amount of time. This doesn't always happen, but I notice sometimes it happens when I try to open the map or go into a highly populated area (hence why I think it might be my phone). In case this is a issue for others, I thought I might point it out.

Having played the game on PC, I'm quite impressed with the mobile version. The performance is always smooth and I've only had the game crash once, no big deal. As a returning player I found it quite easy to navigate the menus and settings, however new players would be lost. Jagex you need to add some tips or hints for new players about the settings options that can help their ease of gameplay, and other game tips because folks are lost out there. Other than that I'd highly recommend this game!

My younger self would've maxed if this existed in 2006-2008. Super convenient and user-friendly interface. All the content and features of the computer version, although I don't think anyone's going to beat the inferno or win many LMS games on this version. Much love to the old school team for keeping one of my favorite games easy to engage with and to check up on.

Mobile experience is fantastic! runs almost perfectly. I applaud you for taking a game from my childhood and bringing it back to me in such a convenient format. My only complaints are that the chat interface needs to be updated for mobile use. editing a mistake, especially in the beginning of a sentence, requires you to delete the entire message and rewrite the whole sentence. A lot of the hit boxes for items and objects need to be enlarged for they are nearly impossible to interact with.

Great game, though unfortunately a bit clunky on the phone. The touch screen controls aren't as precise as they should be to act as an equal replacement for the desktop client. That said, the resolution upgrade and general graphical improvements make it a much prettier sight. Overall: serviceable and a convenient way to do some grinding in while away from home.

Ever since the latest update (the "improved" version, a.k.a. OSRS Beta) the game has become unplayable. Every time I try to open the app using mobile data & not a Wi-Fi connection, the servers refuse to load. The loading screen displays a big red "X". What a shame. EDIT: I found a workaround for this issue, but it requires connecting to a VPN every time before playing. It is a hassle, but I have increased my review from a 1-star to a 3-star. I still do wish I wasn't forced to use a VPN though.

I may be all grown up, but this game will still and always be my favorite. The Mobile version of OSRS is great! But it lacks a few things I would love. Mainly, make the Bank and GE interfaces fullscreen and have pop-ups for trading, player requests, etc to show up in the middle. And lastly please, please, please, let there be an option to not have the interface be transparent, I want to have that original feel as much as possible and to have a transparent one makes it hard to feel original.

New way to access your old addictive grind. Just wish it didn't crash on actions that take a long time to complete (Cutting logs from a willow tree) unless I interact with the screen every few seconds. This isn't the "we're about to disconnect you for being idle" thing, it's something else. No notification, no login screen, app just crashes if I'm taking too long fighting a sand crab and don't touch the screen for x number of seconds.

Report window needs to be bigger on phone, too easy to miss-click. Needs to have an easier way to mass drop or select items. Click to drop in the settings menu takes too long to get to and most people don't even know about it. Needs some sort of login bonus system to encourage daily play. Runescape isn't good for mobile play when you only have a few minutes to play, and that's how most users play mobile games. A login bonus would help mitigate that. Needs more in-game instruction for teleports. New users don't know the fast travel options. An in-game menu like the skill guides would help with this. Love this game, but it needs some tweaking to really shine as a mobile game

(will change once fixed) so far every time i select "new user" the app crashes and i have to restart it, this process repeats, ive tried changing worlds and turning my wifi off and on, and the app still crashes, any solutions? UPDATE: I was ablw to create a user after letting the app run for a bit, and now it starts up everytime love the game, extremely descripitive tutorial, easy, and fun.

Personally I love it. The app runs very smoothly and without issue on my phone. I love the nostalgia that the game brings back with the options for players to choose which features get added to the game ( members only ) as well as the option to eventually pay for your membership through in-game means. I Personally have no complaints. It's a wonderful touch based UI with plenty of options.

Hands down the best game I've ever played. It has everything I've been looking for all these years, and come to find out it's been around nearly 20 years. Great player base. Great graphics. Great gameplay. Been playing a little over a month and I am yet to experience any issues with gameplay or billing. Its refreshing to play a free to play game with an option for pay to play, that doesn't give you a run around with canceling the billing, if/when you choose. Character Name: Mage-er Pain

The mobile app can not compete with the functionality of a proper computer setup and launcher/runelite, but this app is polished and functions well as a substitute on the go. Some xp grinds are even more efficient on mobile. On a Galaxy S21, the game is very crisp and fluid with high FPS and no stuttering. Sometimes, the game does not register clicks properly, and that can be a nuisance, but it's not a game breaking experience. Overall, it is a fair substitute if you don't have access to a PC.

I started playing on mobile a couple years back when i learned there was an app since my laptop wasn't powerful enough. Having played across three devices, two accounts, and a few years of off and on play, i have to say the mobile app is my preference now. It's easier on my hands, smoother to play, and very rarely glitches, and those few times it has have been on the server side. Great app, great support, easy to use, and compatible with every phone and tablet i've had so far.

Been playing runescape since 05 and this app is the most convenient thing ever. Honestly this makes traditional mindless phone games look so bad and cringe. It's been perfect for farming herbs, Wake up, do a quick run. Do another one on my lunch break, and another at night. The app is perfect for skilling during the week, so you can do quests on your desktop during the weekend. I have had 0 issues with the functionality so far. The only game app I've rated 5 stars.

Returned after 10 years!! And I still love the game! By far, the best game out there! I can literally pick up from where I left off 10 years ago!! Not overwhelming changes and always an easy grind to level up and PK. I can finally afford a membership account, and this changes everything! Free to play runscape is a 10/10 but being a member just enhances the gaming experience. We'll worth my time and money. Thanks for the experience Runescape team! Keep up the great work! 👍

After returning a little over a year later I can definitely say they've made massive strides in the optimization and controls on mobile. If you enjoy RuneScape and want it on the go, the experience is basically here. Only point of contention for me left is the lack of UI scaling or positioning options. Menu missclicks can be very common as it currently stands and this feature would improve the experience for a wider range of compatible devices. Updating this would turn my rating to 5-stars.

As good as mobile OSRS can get. No ads, stellar performance, even on lower end devices and phones. Perfect for simple and easy gameplay, including afking. Not recommended for serious gameplay like boss fights, pking, difficult quests etc. Use Runelite for that, however this is no reason to take off a star. It's perfect for doing daily runs, flipping, afk skills, and the like. If I were to name a problem, it would be it's very fast battery drainage on my phone, but my phone is old an low end.
