Players will embark on adventures and experience an immersive fantasy world created by both the meticulouslycrafted 3D pixel art scenes (HD-2D) and the solemn, grand background music, going through many plot stories that are either heavy, warm, or joyful.

On the continent of Orsterra, there exist rings imbued with divine power. Three of the rings fell into the hands of three evildoers, who used the rings to fulfill their desires for wealth, power,and fame, becoming the tyrants ruling this continent. Their endless hunger plunged the once-peaceful continent into utter chaos.
On this continent gradually being eroded by darkness, you will become the "chosen one of the ring" and embark on an adventure, confronting the masters of wealth, power, and fame. Meet travelers of eight different jobs during the adventure and invite them to thejourney to defeat the evil forces together!

When first starting the game, the touch controls were a bit off putting. For example to boost your attacks you have to tap on the character window, hold and slide the attack to the right to activate it. Felt really weird TBH. But after playing it for awhile I got accustomed to the controls and the overall tone of the story was very engrossing. I haven't played octopath traveller on console so I don't know if it's a normal theme for the game but for me as my first experience it was great.

As someone who loves the main games, this is truly a surprise as to how similar the gameplay and storytelling is, it feels like a fully fledged turn based console RPG on mobile! The gacha system is the only thing I dislike about the game but once you get a solid team going it's pretty irrelevant unless you want the new crossover characters from other games.

I really love this game. The fact that it's even free is of bewilderment to me because it's such a good game. But I will stress that the introductory tutorials are quite heavy-handed or not so user-friendly at times. Furthermore, I don't like that you get forced into battle with monsters when you just want to travel peacefully across the vast land. I guess that's just a game mechanic, but I remain dissatisfied with it. Beyond that, however, I don't see any problems with this game.

Some features are so tedious to do and some are unnecessary to have. Make the feature of viewing your heroes easy to access, like the hero's stats, equipments, skills etc and when hitting the return button from that feature, make it a single return. Its like turning a page of a book everytime you hit return. Simplify your game coz it take too much long waiting time just to progress.

As a player who enjoys RPG with a turn based battle system myself, this game is amazing compared to most. It's also not essential to pay/buy to progress (unless you feel the need to). Even with just the beginners' travellers, you definitely can progress throughout the story. A proper strategy & preparation before tackling difficult challenges will help a lot. Chances are, you may be overwhelmed with the information when starting, but it gets easier over time. Great game.

I played the SQENIX version of this for a long time. With the change of publisher and a new app, I figured I'd just transfer my data over. I did everything as instructed. However, I keep getting told my data is STILL being transferred and to wait for next Thursday's maintenance. I was looking forward to continuing to play this game, but whoever designed the transfer system on the new owner's end didn't do it right. All my time and enjoyment is now gone. I will NOT be recommending this game.

The art seems fun but the game is too overwhelming. As soon as you start bombarded with tutorials, to the point where it is like 4 tutorials everytime you click something. Then it takes you to the summon area and there's like 12 banners, some of which are paid only, and some were limited collabs. Too much barrier to entry for new players.

I really like the graphics and character art for this game. No sexualized women! The storyline is nice with the 3 aspects of human moral disease. Problem 1: How difficult it is to win important fights. Problem 2: Purchases are overpriced for what they give. Otherwise, this game works on data, not just wifi. Quests are short and sweet, and most scenes of which can be skipped to the battle or the next task. This game is good where Another Eden is frustrating and bad where they are great.

The account data transfer from the old app wasn't explained anywhere and something went wrong with mine,it wouldn't let me,and now I can't transfer my save data from the old account for some reason,and I can't generate a new transfer code,I lost all the years of my game ever since the UK launch!When I tru to launch the game it starts a new one from the beginning!And there is NO WORKING SUPPORT SECTION BE IT IN THE APP OR ON THE WEBSITE,SO I HAVE NOWHERE TO TURN TO FOR HELP! ED:Can't via setting!

I like how during combat you can either choose to boost an individual character attack via the character window or all together by either choosing boost all to boost their default attack or go to each character window and choose a specific move, then press boost all. The turn based and pixelated art style makes the game all the more loveable. As you progress you can get to know a lot of characters through their memoires and helping them complete quests.

The translation for Side Solistia is unacceptably bad, including lines such as "You did you stay alive for so now," and is generally filled with typos and grammatical errors, as well as not matching the tone of the previous story. In addtion, there are changes in other places like replacing the "Gather Items" button with "Recycle" and changing "Learn Skills" to "Learning Skills." Please hire a translator to retranslate everything changed in the update.

It had been awhile since I played this and decided to come back but it's literally unplayable because i chose to transfer my progress. It was a fun game but to lock me out for a week for a transfer is ridiculous. An even worse thing is that I won't even get all the stuff for transferring. Have to wait a week and get practically nothing. We will see if I remember to even play this game in a week.

I love this game! I played Octopath Traveler 2, and I loved it. To be able to bring one of the greatest RPGs anywhere is insane! I hope that you all can add the octopath 2 characters because I only see octopath 1. I know this game is going places, and it would be great to see how you improve the game. Also, quick note before I end it, can you please make it like the 2 class system of octopath 2. being able to be a dancer and Armsmaster would be an insane update. thanks for creating a great game.

Amazing storyline, graphics and gameplay flow. Even though it is a gatcha its not too bad and you can easily finish the game as ftp. The story is quite deep and touches some pretty dark aspects of human interactions (it caught me by surprise really). One thing to consider is maybe adding a tag/warning for possibly disturbing scenes. Other than that i highly recommend giving the game a try!

Giving out 2 stars instead of 1 since I was at least able to transfer my progress over from the old version of the game, but all of the new content is horribly translated. PLEASE hire an English localization team to redo *every* single line of dialogue for the new stuff. I can immediately tell if something was written by Square Enix or by Exptional based on whether the sentence makes sense or not. It's laughably bad.

I've been playing for about 330 hours from this review and I will say the game is really good. Story is great, characters are great, the Break/Boost system combat is by far one of my favorite turn based RPG combat styles and I recommend the game to anyone to at least try. BUT I have a massive issue with the translation for the NEW content. It clearly uses AI (Which I can excuse for a bit) but I hope they hire people for the translations soon so the story feel compelling and not poorly told/wrote

Great RPG, the graphics are beautiful, and I can see the amount of work the developers have put in. I've been playing Octopath traveller for more than a month now and plan to continue. The stories are intriguing, and each character is different. The game play is straightforward with multiple side quests apart from the main one. But somehow, connected. I look forward to every new story produced and hope I can complete each characters' tale. Thank you, and keep it up.

really fun, but almost every time a new character is added, the exchange doesn't get updated to have the weapon souls for that character. this morning it told me my login expired, and I couldn't access my account, but after a bit of raging, I figured out how to restore my account. other than those things, the game is super good

I've liked medieval aesthetics on games for a long time and I think this is the perfect game to scratch that itch. Every character has distinct lore behind them and the overarching story so far is good too. The gacha is kind of bad. We don't get many pulls at the start. Only a ten pull to make your party. I hope we get way more pulls later on. Other than that great game.

The new continent Side Solistia takes place in the world of Ocotopath Traveler 2 which is exciting, but the translation is horrible. Grammatical and spelling errors are all over the place. The tone of every character is flat. There are 0 conjunctions making characters sound stiff. It honestly looks like they used Google translate. The prices are still too high and the banner summons seem worse than the Square Enix version. I'll keep playing only to see if the story is good.
