App used to work fine apart from a few issues with scanning QR code on buses, then the App stopped loading for some reason, get the splash screen, then just a red screen, tried removing & re-installing a number of times but still won't work, phone is up to date, tried installing on tablet, but won't scan on buses as size of screen distorts QR code, some drivers wave you on if you show ticket screen, others look at you like you trying to scam them. Trying to get help or email some1 is a joke too.

Been using this app for years just showing to the driver, NX have now brought in this new QR scan method where you have to show it the machine reader on the bus, however it simply doesn't work, just flashes on the drivers monitor 'Code Expired', I've got a valid pass and I've now got bus drivers telling me to ' Sort it out! ', a disgrace!, this new QR scan system simply doesn't work!

Been working fine up until today. I am now having to confirm that I am making the payment in my Barclay's banking app. Then even when I confirm I get an error processing payment! It used to be very quick to get a ticket, a few seconds, especially in a rush. Now I have to try getting my ticket half an hour in advance in case it doesn't work! Going to have to start using my card for contactless instead, which I don't like taking out.

Slight issue I've discovered with the ticket once purchased. You can purchase the ticket and it tells you to activate it before you board the bus. However it will still count down the days from purchase even un-activated. (So a 6 1/2 day ticket ends up in my instance a 4 day ticket, instead of a one week). Surely it should not count down until activated. Update, now I can't even buy a ticket on the app...

Very easy simple app to use great work, saves me alot of time 👍🏽 Edit : update as of 09/07/2022. App is completely broken bought a 4 week adult and did not see it in wallet, contacting support is extremely time consuming and no solution in the end kept going in circles. Bought a daysaver showed it to driver and he said it was fake and told me to get off the bus?! I showed him the the app and ticket info but still refused disgraceful no one waste your time with this app stick to paper tickets!

No longer saves cards, even though the tick box remains there. Doesn't support basic auto entry. Drivers barely even glance at the app anyway. No useful status updates about live bus times, but somehow they still maintain the 25p pretty message sms service and took down all the in stop live times. All of which is to say, its all very primitive and backwards of where they were over a decade ago. It's like they don't want you to use their services.

Pointless. My old debit card has expired; every time I try to pay on the app with the new one, there is an"error processing payment" & advice to contact customer services. Press the "contact customer services" button on the app & it takes you to the payment section again & you just go round in circles. Bus timetable info can be found by googling company website instead of using the app. This app was once really convenient but now is no longer fit for purpose.

The app doesn't work when I scan it on the bus. It was fine before when you would just show the driver the phone screen, but now when I scan it, it says barcode expired, every time! I bought a new ticket, didn't work, uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app, and it still doesn't work. This is very annoying, especially during rush hour. I have tried everything but the screen on the bus says barcode expired every time, even though the ticket is in date.

Great and easy to use, however, a couple of weeks ago, I was able to use the app and then half an hour later it wouldn't allow me to even open the app. No problems since, but hesitant on using it due to previous issues. I catch 4 buses per day and the app has been really useful up until then. Fingers crossed no problems since.

The app's update was obviously never fully tested. It's always advertising that a new version is available, even if it is up-to-date. The result of buying a ticket is random: you get charged but presented with an error message and if you're lucky you may get the ticket. The payment card is never saved, even if you clicked on the option. I am surprised app is released.

Its inconsistent and unreliable. It randomly signed me out of my account and when I tried to sign back in it kept saying the password was incorrect so I tried to reset the new password by letting them send an email to me which they did... half an hour later. By that time it had expired and I cannot access my account even though I know I was putting in the right password in the first place but the app is just incomplete. I know this because when I log into anything else, the password Is correct.

Every time you open the app, it will bring up this annoying dialogue about how to scan your ticket when you enter the bus. It's so frustrating, any time I need to quickly find my ticket I have to skip through this dialogue, which also opens with an annoying animation, so it takes even longer to get to the ticket. I mean, ticket scanning has been a thing for almost a year, and it's not like the driver will let you on board without scanning. At least add an option to hide it!

Terrible app. Takes far too long to find your bus route, then you have to download a pdf file. Try this in the rain or with your hands full, it's a complete nightmare. I took photos of the bus timetables I use, from the bus stops instead. Much much quicker and far less aggravation. It really should be simple but they've managed to properly over complicate it. Uninstalled!!

I've found out that the NX West Midlands app I'm currently using is being slowly phased out and this app is being recommended as a replacement. I think not. The old app includes live bus tracking as well as a handy map feature that displays all bus stops. Neither of these features is included in this new app which really is not fit for purpose. It simply provides a convenient way of purchasing tickets if you use you phone as a bus ticket. If you use old fashioned tickets this app is useless.

The app appears to work ok, have had no issues so far with functionality. However, since a recent upgrade, you can no longer purchase a Sandwell and Dudley daysaver via the app. The only options are the pricier West Midlands daysavers. It seems you can still buy this ticket on the bus. Being unable to purchase it through the app really doesn't seem very progressive.

The app is good and useful, for the most part. However, the date on the receipt that's emailed to you is in American format - mm/dd/yy. It's quite confusing when you're doing your accounts. Please change to British date format - dd/mm/yyyy. After all, the app is for a British audience! Even International date format - yyyy/mm/DD - would be less confusing!

Does the job, however two problems. 1. Each bus scanner needs different distance and orientation, making it hit or miss how it scans. 2. The pop-up reminding that we 'now need to scan' sometimes doesn't load and blocks access to tickets, making boarding even more troublesome. The pop-up isn't needed anymore so easy fix, but can NXBus put guides (physical plastic distance windows or laser or visual screen showing what camera sees) on the buses to speed up loading?

Like others are saying, there seems to be a problem with the app accepting payments. I've tried mine and my partners card and keep getting an error. I always purchased a weekly pass, but that isn't going through. Here I am again now trying to buy a weekly one ready for tomorrow, but I've given up after 4 attempts. Update: After 35 mins holding on the phone to customer services, I found out its an issue with Natwest, they can't authorise the payments. Could be months before it is fixed.

I like this app, but I really need someone to look at the annoying aspects of it. Whose great idea was it to put the "you need to scan qr code on entering the bus" message showing at the start of the app EVERY SINGLE TIME? Seriously, after 10 times going into the bus, we remember how to do it. That and having to click the ticket every time opening the app, its such unnecessary waste of time, especially annoying when you're not prepared cause you ran to get to the bus and now everyone is waiting

I've never had an issue purchasing tickets through the app with Google Pay. The app is mostly intuitive but is not clear about which tickets are most appropriate if you want to travel on a lesser-known route. Big negatives are: tickets are non-refundable (even if bought mistakenly), singles must be used within 3 days (including the day you bought it - so it's NOT 72 hours from purchase), and if you activate the ticket and the bus doesn't stop for you it'll timeout without refund after 30 min.
