I've been using this app since 2021 but after I was prompted to install an update I can NO longer get into the app, not even getting a login screen but instead a screen that reads: Apply Now or Complete Application. Every time I click on Complete Application, it takes me to a web browser and after I log in, it states my application is complete. I'm VERY FRUSTRATED as I need to deposit checks and can only do that via the mobile app!! Not getting any response to my support email either!!! HELP!!

Check deposit doesn't work. Support "reached out" meaning they refuse to talk to you, only via very short texts that take an entire day, and then they say my check was a screenshot, even when it wasn't. Stay FAR away from Novo until they start taking business seriously. Update: The last few questions I asked, I got a response in a reasonable amount of time. The interface for support is still annoying, so updating my review to 3 stars. The interface for everything else is really good

Bad experience and sketchy security. I received a notification one day that someone from an unknown IP address tried accessing my account. I changed my password and there was no damage. Not a big deal but it's the first time it's happened to me with a bank account. Then some time later I had two unauthorized transactions appear for ticketmaster purchases totaling over $800 which were not mine! I disputed the claim and it took almost 4 months for them to just deny my claim. So frustrated!

I've been using Novo for my business and it's been incredible as I moved from one state to another. Online banking has taken a lot of stress away and has saved me the annoying business fees from banks! I've also saved on numerous transactions as they remove the Stripe Fees. Yay! Im obsessed with the way I can split payments that come in so I don't have to think about diving up every transaction for taxes, expenses and payouts. Their customer service has also been a breeze to work with. 😃

I would give 0 stars if I could. I couldn't even make it past the onboarding phase as my session errored out and would not allow me to complete my onboarding as I would get an error each time I tried to finish it. It said to contact support. I contacted support via email since that is the only type of support and it was horrible. Got a response a day later and said a specialist would look into the issue. Multiple follow ups and no answer. Been 8 days now with no resolution. Going elsewhere now.

Works great for my security deposit trusts. Some slight UX improvements would make it even better. For example, after completing a mobile check deposit it would be more intuitive to not only display a success confirmation to the user but to also list the transaction on the activity tab and mark that transaction as 'pending'. Currently, after tapping 'done' on the confirmation screen there is no other indication that the deposit has been made in the app...

Seeing that it is online banking, I rely a lot on being able to deposit my checks electronically. However, it's almost impossible to do so when I keep getting am error message talking about wanting the perfect angle or whatever. It's a photo that's taken automatically when the check is on the right spot. Please fix this as it's annoying and time consuming trying to deposit one check.

Been great for the most part so far - I kind of wish invoicing had additional payment options for cash (just so you have a record of it) or PayPal where they can just click a button and pay. PayPal integration into the invoicing would be amazing (and what I want the most). Having to go into 4 different places for invoices is really annoying and I'd like to have one place for everything

App was working well enough for my purposes. However, I've now started running into an issue where the app won't let me deposit a check: it keeps saying error and keeps asking me to retake the pictures. Haven't had a major issue until now and there doesnt seem to be any other way to deposit the check. I'd be fine if it took extra time for human verification, or if I had to even mail the check to Novo, but they give no other options.

I enjoy most of the features and as long as I don't need to contact support, everything's fine. However, when I do need to contact support... Wow. Is it usually a terrible experience. Not only are the response times multiple days (I've had inquiries close while I was waiting for a response), but also, I've had to deal with very generic responses in the hope that I eventually get connected with a real person. If you are going to have a chat line, don't hamstring it with horrible response times.

Good experience, provided you know what you're in for at the beginning. Do not expect your transactions to move quickly. You cannot 'call' anyone. You cannot use mobile deposit right away- only once you've had the account for a while and done a certain number of transactions that total a certain amount of $. They refund ATM fees up to a certain amount. You can send money from Cash App to a business account.

Absolute nightmare trying to set up am outside account to be able to fund my account. I have removed the app and reinstalled and still NOTHING! I have been trying for months to get this resolved. I am finally just transferring in a different matter,but when I transfer....I have no clue as to where the transaction is going on NOVOS end. My other account shows the money as withdrawn, yet it's still not in my NOVO account. I am at my wits end with this. Nightmare!

Awesome bank! I love the app too! Very intuitive and I like the features! The only thing is I wish the debit card would have send faster, so I could use the discounts on the services Novo connects with. Update: 6/29/21 Moving this down to 2 stars because customer service is AWFUL. They are by far the worst customer service center I have ever dealt with. No one actually reads your messages, everyone just copies & pastes cookie cutter answers into a text box and just send it to you. Useless!

I've been using it for 2 years and really like the simplicity. I also like that I can set aside 15% of all incoming transactions into my reserve account to save for taxes without having to open up a separate savings account. Customer service is really slow. Transfers are really quick from WePay card processor. Ease of use is great. I've done about 150k of transactions with no problems. The actual debit card they send you is bad quality, it falls apart fast

Updated* The issues I mentioned in my original review seem to be fixed. Still experiencing issues with certain functions but it seems like the devs are working them out pretty quickly. Original* One of the buggiest apps I've used in quite a while. The design looks nice which is why I didn't give it 1 star, but it constantly freezes, pop-ups with integrations are buggy and I can't even upload a picture without the entire app freezing.

Terrible banking institution, do not download this app and do not trust them with your money. They do not operate like most banking institutions. Depositing checks takes an obscene amount of time, always 7 to 9 days. Using your debit card is next to impossible. Every single transaction is declined initially until you authorize it through the app. It is quite frustrating having your card declined wherever you're trying to use it. I was told that nothing can be done and I have to live with it

Terrible bank. Terrible app. It glitched and got stuck on the enable notifications screen. Then I tried to close the app and reopen. It told me my password was incorrect and locked me out. The only reason I am downloading the app at all is so I can close my account. The app is required to speak to customer service. There is no phone number or desktop option...

The Devs did a great job on the GUI, I haven't had any issues managing my invoices, payments, or money as some reviews state. I gave 4 stars because the integrations may need a little work, but having worked in software development, I know that's a moving target sometimes. Overall my experience has been positive.

Novo is a good option for business banking. I really appreciate the invoice feature and the detailed historic graphs. However, certain transactions are slower than expected. Depositing my 1st check to the account took almost 10 days to post...that needs to be better! Hopefully it will be faster if I ever need to use a check again in the future. Overall, I feel this is a really good business account option.

Novo as a bank has been good. The only complaint I have is their limits on check deposits and other transfers severely limit my business's ability to operate smoothly. They do let you ask for limit changes, but they seem to only allow temporary limit changes, and that helps... temporarily. That is my only complain though. The app is great, and the features are all great. It's very reliable, no sneaky fees, and doesn't chew up tons of phone resources. 4.75 stars.
