1/31/14 ☆☆☆☆☆Best launcher I ever tried that justified the upgrade to the paid app. Simply the most battery efficient and stable launcher. I don't regret spending those 4 bucks one bit, and neither will you! 05/27/24: ☆☆10 yrs later and usually going strong but lately has crashed and I get a message on my phone that the nova launcher is not supported by latest Android version? My phone has been glitching non-stop and freezing and only temp. working after restarting only to start glitching again.

Smooth and easily customizable, folder creation a snap. Bought Prime after 2 days. Extremely pleased.6.5.15 Still loving Nova Prime. 6.14.20 Wow! Great job on 7.0.45!!!!!!!!😃 Thanks! For Everytime I use my phone! Well, version 8 is just a home run, thank you for the thoughtful, hard work. What a delight! My favorite change is choosing a folder or widget background color. But everything else... I'm speechless!

Love it as an alternative to the Pixel launcher, just two complaints: - I have my app drawer organized into folders, but whenever an app updates, it adds another icon for that app to the main drawer. Only a restart gets rid of it. - It occasionally seems like the launcher just stops. My home screen goes blank except for the wallpaper and I have to hit the home button to bring everything back.

I've been using nova launcher for 10+ years now over 5 phones and would never choose anything else. It's the first thing I set up as soon as I get a new phone. I don't mind the default launcher/UI but can't live without the gesture shortcuts. Being able to double tap, swipe up/down, etc to open my most used apps is the most amazing convenience. I almost switched to apple but changed my mind since they don't have an equivalent. Custom app drawer spacing and hiding apps I don't use is also nice.

Best launcher, been using it for years, has so many smart additional features I don't even know where to begin. Customization is straightforward and clever. HOWEVER lately it freezes on the home page. It's happening so much that I'm starting to look for another launcher, but nothing compares. PLEASE FIX, I'm not the only one.

It was great, now it's buggy. I have my apps in folders as well as the main app drawer. Lately when I tap a folder or the app drawer, the action will register and the screen doesn't change. So if I need an app, I have to remember and hit exactly where in the folder it drawer it is. This has been going on for a while and I'm probably going to start using a new launcher soon.

Great alternate home app, been using it for years. However there's a bug with my pixel 7 where the 2 of the 3 buttons on the bottom (triangle for back, circle for home, square for see all open apps) break and stop working. At first it was just the square button, where clicking it did nothing. Then the circle button. Initially, the only way to fix it was to restart my phone. I found out that switching to the original home app and back fixes it as well. I emailed support, but they ignored me.

Great launcher, been using it for maybe a decade. Not really any bugs. I use a Galaxy 10e. Really fun if you're a customization freak like me. You can download icon packs (separately from any publisher) and switch them out easily with Nova, change your folder shape, design, etc. Disclaimer: I've been using it so long I don't even know what default Samsung is like these days.

Been using Nova 7 prime for 2 years and of all the launchers available it is the best one to date. The settings are full featured and easy to navigate. Keep up the great work. 5-30-24 Upgraded to Nova Prime 8 and it keeps on working. Still the best app launcher out there. The settings features are the best available, everyone should be using it !

Pixel 8: might request a refund. The "recent apps" square button doesn't work unfortunately. Need to restart twice a day to get it to work again. Using the "swipe up" gesture locks me into the recent apps screen and only a restart can get me out of it. I switched back to pixel launcher and decided I'd rather be stuck with the awkward permanent Google search bar than a non-functional "recent apps" feature. I didn't realize how often I used the square button till it was gone.

Loved this launcher for years, but it's given me enough grief to say goodbye finally. Lots of issues starting with android 10. Especially on pixel 8 pro. Constantly stuck on screen off and tap stops working. Often times clicking screen power off and on causes issues in behavior. Soon as I remove this launcher, system runs smoothly and without these issues.

Changing the font style (for icons) no longer works. Sub-grid positioning no longer works. Minor settings like (not)remembering the page you were on for the App Drawer or Dock are super glitchy and often seem to ignore your selected preferences. Awhile back, these things worked. But for several versions now, they haven't. So it's not just a version glitch that they'll fix next time, they've just stopped bothering to fix issues.

After years of being my "ol reliable" launcher Nova has now been broken for several months straight on Android 14. The app will frequently freeze when returning to the home screen, becoming visually frozen but you are still able to click your apps. Only seems to be fixed by locking and unlocking the phone after opening the app drawer in the frozen screen. Goodnight my sweet... One day I may return to check if you've recovered.

Fix bugs -> 5 stars Long-time user here, currently using Pixel 6 on Android V14. This app has been seriously impacted by recent updates. The worst (and most frequent) bug I encounter is: *Unresponsive touch screen* When this happens, I cannot interact with anything on the screen. The phone is unusable in this state. I've found that if I use the physical button to lock the phone, then unlock it, it works. More than doubles the actions to unlock phone. Been this way for months now...

Been using this launcher forever. New updates are pretty good. They made it really difficult to add new stuff to folders though. It's highlighted underneath my finger and I sort of have to guess if I'm dropping it in the right place. I often get the "no more room on home screen" message when trying to drop new things in a folder.

Okay, I love the launcher. But there's one bug that drives me crazy. Pixel 8 pro, the launcher will randomly freeze up and not allow you to swipe or open the menu. Only way I've found to fix it is to just lock the screen and wait a few minutes and it'll be working again. Problem is it only seems to happen when I need to you my phone RIGHT NOW. J like trying to get directions or needing to call someone and I can't because the launcher is froze. Very annoying but still less annoying then stock
