I've used this launcher with the Prime version for several years and its been excellent the whole time until recently. To echo other users, the recent update has broken the ease of use this app championed. My specific qualm is that intermittently the launcher will appear to crash, all my icons blow up, and I need to re-open Nova settings to go back to normal, which will last for a few minutes. I'm on a Galaxy zFold5 running Android 14 and really hoping this gets resolved soon.

Version 8 is a nice update with lots of nice subtle improvements. With that said I noticed that the icon grids and padding in desktop folders in both window and immersive view are not centered. We need the option to adjust the grid and padding in these places as well, or at a minimum to set them to match desktop and app drawer icon sizes and grid layouts... Lastly, widget corner radius' I've set on widgets on my desktop intermittently disappear, please fix!

I've used this app for years, but since the last update it is causing the UI to crash and locking up my phone so that I can do nothing but reboot at least once a day, causing me to lose valuable work I was in the middle of and generally screwing up my life. There's no way to roll back, and if I uninstall it changes my whole workflow. When you're developing something as essential as a launcher, don't experiment on your users. You have to get it right out of the box. Seriously pissed 😠😠😠

Complete rubbish now. The widget drop down menu is the most annoying part of the whole update. Extra clicking for each app widget is really not an update. Sonos is missing widget and the layout when app is open is a disaster. Most apps have glitch and won't stay open. And the newest reviews is giving the developers a hint. Here is another one - try to actually use the app for a week or two and see how "practical" this app is. As of now it's rubbish, updates should make things easier.

By far my favorite launcher, ever since getting a taste of it on my Razer Phone 2 which had the pro version pre-installed. I was even able to keep the pro version across new phones by moving the app data onto my new phones with my PC. Feature recommendation: please add nested folders. Like for example, I'd like to make an "emulation" folder inside my games folder.

Has always been one of my all time favourite Android apps, however I have experienced a fair amount of crashing since the version 8.0.17 update... Especially when moving apps and folders from the dock to my home screen (and vice versa). The app will crash, and then when it restarts I get a choice of which launcher I want to use as default (Nova or the built in launcher). Not sure why the crashing is occurring? Nova team, please fix ASAP.

The Nova 8 update seems to have introduced a frustrating bug that has left me disappointed. The issue with docked icons being stuck on the right side of the screen is not only inconvenient but also disrupts the seamless experience I have come to expect from the app. While customer service has acknowledged the problem and promised a fix in the next update, the lack of a definitive timeline is disheartening, especially when the app's functionality is crucial to my daily life.

Please add an option for controlling how much the scrolling wallpaper moves. For example, it looks like my wallpaper moves 100 pixels when I move the desktop left. However, my wallpaper is wide enough that I'd like it to move 200 or 300 pixels. In8 addition, sometimes the wallpaper will be randomly zoomed in after it has been on the desktop for a few hours. The only fix is to choose a new one and position it again.

After years of being my "ol reliable" launcher Nova has now been broken for several months straight on Android 14. The app will frequently freeze when returning to the home screen, becoming visually frozen but you are still able to click your apps. Only seems to be fixed by locking and unlocking the phone after opening the app drawer in the frozen screen. It's not just me either -- there are multiple reddit threads. Goodnight my sweet... One day I may return to check if you've recovered.

i have been a user of this launcher for over 10 years. It was one of the first things i installed on my first android phone. i've never spent time using the stock Galaxy launcher. i'm so used to Nova that i forget it's there... ... Until now, because i'm having the same bug as everyone else. The main menu button stops functioning correctly: one tap fails to open anything, two opens some random app (probably whatever is there on the menu), only fix is a restart. Incredibly frustrating.

This launcher is at the bottom of a long downhill slide. An update months ago left it broke. The UI is frozen and despite still letting you press things, you cannot open folders, use the app drawer, or swipe between screens. You'd hope after removing all the features over the years that they would at least be able to make what is left functional. This bug existing for over 6 months means I'm going to have to move on to a new launcher.

Horrible update. Two of the main features I use this launcher for have changed, and I can't figure out how to get them back. One is the rubber band effect when scrolling through home screens. Two is the three dots home screen indicator that was always white, and now it's a stupid blue color. EDIT - Thank you for responding. I will check it out. EDIT - I looked everywhere and I can't find accent color anywhere. Where in the world is it hidden?

Great overall, but I would like to see some more customization features. Specifically the navigation/gesture bar. I use a Pixel 7 that has unfortunately suffered burn in due to the gesture bar being pure white. I'd love to see the option to change its color or at the very least have a dark mode option that turns the nav bar a dark grey. The option to hide it entirely while maintaining its functionality would be a great alternative as well

I don't want to switch, I've loved this launcher for years, but right now every time I unlock my phone, it freezes on one page. It behaves like it's scrolling, and as a result, I will tap random apps. I have to relock and unlock my phone to fix it every time. It's getting worse. This problem occurred on my last phone as well. I'd buy the premium, but I hate to fix a basic function with money, especially just to find it didn't work. Please fix this.

Edit on 05/28/2024: Much better since they started updating recently. Thank you for fixing the bugs! Would have been 5 stars if it didn't suddenly stop working. It crashes at least 2 times an hour and it freezes my screen until I lock my phone but even then, it's a 50/50 chance it'll unfreeze. This use to be such a great app. It's the only launcher that gives me almost full control of my customization but with it crashing so often, I've stopped using it. Please fix these issues

I have loved this app for years, but find myself asking "What were they thinking?" It crashes EVERY time I go to move a shortcut. It refuses to create shortcuts. It will work for a minute or two when I restart my phone and then I have to restart it again to continue using it. Every aspect is insanely more complex/difficult to use. Frequently missing ALL icons. Consistency is gone, unless you count consistently disappointing. Come on devs, let's fix this gem that you've destroyed!

It's been my go-to home screen for YEARS. Lately, it seems to be less and less compatible with current android versions. I find myself having to learn workarounds to several small, yet common issues. I still like that it's robust enough to give me control over my user experience. It allows me to utilize a somewhat minimalist home screen, and it has a fully customizable app drawer, so you're not forced to clutter up your beautiful wallpaper.

Ive been using this app for six or seven years. One issue that I've this whole time is, there's a bug that's never been fixed. When I swipe up to view the apps, there are times it doesn't work. Instead, the apps are invisible and swiping up doesn't work until restarting the phone, and when I tap a random part of the homescreen, the app that is supposed to be in that position when swiping up opens. But i can't see anything. Pressing the home button makes the keyboard appear but nothing else.

Overall the launcher is good. Good customization. But both of the last 2 phones I've had, when returning to the home screen, 50% of the time, no icons or anything is there. You can't pull down the notification drawer or pull up the app drawer. It won't do anything! I navigate with gestures, so no navigation buttons at the bottom. I have to pull up opened applications several times before it starts showing things again. This is an issue with the launcher!

Overall, still one of the best launchers. Tons of customizations to get everything just right. But the latest update has left everything feeling "twitchy". No other way to describe it. It's just not running smoothly like it used to. Lots of force-closes as well. I've been playing around with the stick launcher and it's so butter smooth I'm considering switching back. Please go back to the old version. It was rock solid!
