More About Notebloc Scanner - Scan to PDF

Notebloc is a 100% free document scanner app that helps you scan paper and declutter: scan receipts, tickets, notes, drawings and other documents. You can create PDF documents or JPEG files.
• Notebloc Scanner is a 100% free scanner app supporting unlimited usage, developed by a notebook company in Barcelona.
• You can scan documents of any type: notes, receipts, drawings, sketches, photos or images.
• Use our multiple page scan to scan multiple pages at once.
• You can create single or multi page documents and organize them in folders and subfolders.
• It includes OCR for typed texts in 18 different languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Danish, Catalan, Dutch, German, Finnish, Hungarian, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Swedish, Tagalog and Turkish).
• The app will automatically detect the corners and correct the perspective of the image. Making it appear as if it was taken with a 90 degrees angle.
• Any shadows or similar will disappear.
• You can crop a document or image directly inside the app.
• Your scanned documents can be saved or shared through email / Whatsapp / Dropbox, etc.

With the Notebloc® app:
We correct the perspective of your captured piece of paper: Notebloc geometrically fits your photos (see example above), making that the image on the screen completely straight, as if you had taken the picture in a perfect 90 degree angle.

We eliminate any trace of shade in your photos: Imagine you could have the perfect light intensity to digitize your notes in any circumstance, time and place. That may seem impossible, but with the Notebloc app your digitized notes will look perfect, clean, without any imperfection due to light and shadow. In your digital image you will only get what there is written or drawn on a completely white background.

Within the application you can:
- Create documents and save them as PDF or JPG.
- Share documents online: e-mail, instant messaging, social networks, etc.
- Rename documents.
- Classify documents by date of creation or edition.
- Choose in what size of PDF you want to keep your notes.
- Digitize images / other documents that you may want to save along with your Notebloc notes.
- Add, copy and order pages within the same document.
- Create folders to better organize your files.

When used in conjunction with our Notebloc® notebooks, you get optimal results. The gridlines and background of our paper will magically disappear.

This is a very handy app. I use it for scanning in receipts and documents. It is straightforward and fast and the scan quality is good. I tried a number of different scanning apps and finally settled on this one as my scanning go-to. There are a number of scanning apps with more functionality that only serve to make using them more complicated without really providing additional benefits in my opinion.

I L.O.V.E IT! This app is great! I am using it for practically everything now. That includes taking pictures of my important documents, my notes, and even documenting events! Its convenient and easy to use. The only difference between the free version and the version to purchase is the add on the bottom of the menu page. But if you live it as much as I do, you should consider paying the one time payment, just to support this wonderful app. :)

Excellent app & worth paying for. Big error on my part, but I was in a rush and it slipped my mind to make a backup for this app. As I was done transfering my other apps, docs, pictures etc to a new phone, I factory reset the old phone. Realized when I went to use the app, that NONE of my files were in it because I didn't make a backup. 4 stars only because I wish there was a way to automatically save files to cloud or google drive, or even a notebloc account to prevent this kind of mistake.

It's so slick to be able to scan pages on the go like this. I got a recommendation from a friend and I primarily use it for digitizing sketches but it's been helpful with docs too. I like the organization features and the options for scan type. The adjustable edges are intuitive. Sharing options are many. If I had to change something it would be shadow detection/erasure and adjustable brightness.

I started my scan of 14 pages and I was forced to watch an ad after each page. So after the second page and second ad I quit. I'll be deleting this app. Ironically, both times it was and ad for Camscanner app. Who the heck has time to watch all those ads after each scan. It's ridiculous. I get that there is a premium version but the first impression has sent me running away as fast as I can.

Very effective, easy to use, and functional. I feel like the app is many steps ahead of me and what I want to do! I have been meaning to digitize my training materials (and ones I'd collected from other teachers) which were mostly paper. I was not only able to scan everything clearly from my own couch, crop it perfectly + save into multi-page PDF files, I was also able to save it to my Google Drive + correct folders. The free version has some ads, but were easy to skip + not super disruptive.

So far seems ok. It doesn't appear to support transferring files by text message. Fax option would be nice, too. It does allow saving to Google drive, contrary to other reviews; perhaps added more recently. EDIT: Ok. If you share a captured image as a .jpg file, then you can send it by SMS. It would still be nice to be able to send a .pdf by the same method.

I just started using the app, and in general it is very useful and easy to use. However, I routinely scan multiple-page documents and it seems that OCR has to be done one page at a time. Why not batch OCR? Also, border detection is generally pretty good, but it has issues when scanning documents that have been stapled together. The stapled corner often gives it problems.

Fantastic productivity app that does it's purpose perfectly. The ads don't get in the way at all, so the only reason to buy the pro version is to support the developers. I would but that would require money. I have a couple of small suggestions like UI. It's a simple app, but a few animations and maybe a couple themes could go a long way.

Very nice scanner. One thing it's lacking is a batch mode, especially when working with pictures. It is very annoying to load one picture at a time from the storage. Also, I could not find a way to load pictures not from camera, but from some other directory on the phone storage. UPDATE: both deficiencies described in my original review have been rectified

Better than Camscanner, at a fraction of the price (for the pro version) and no cam scanner malware. Storage options are plentiful, including Google drive, One Drive, any folder on the phone including the photogallery (many options cam scanner doesn't have). Even the option to email with outlook. Quality is great. Multipage document functions include adding, deleting and resorting pages. Nice back up function. Haven't tested OCR yet.

Notebloc is the only "scanning" app I use. It does an incredible job editing documents to look like actual scans, it has options for you to choose from for the editing style, the workflow and interface are streamlined and easy to use, and exporting options are endless. This app is so fast, so easy, and so convenient. The ads are annoying (I had this app before the ads), but I was happy to pay for the pro version because you guys have earned it. THANK YOU!

Love this apps to my bone. I use it everyday for documentation. So easy to crop from any presentation image and store it in the folder that you can label it right away. You can delete or keep the images without going to a different page. Unfortunately, I can't do backup all the images per folder, the way the folders are set in Notebloc. Also all images can't be backed up all together in one process. Sadly, this type of feature isn't available in the pro version. 🤔

I write a lot of notes on varios subjects & this is perfect for archiving and sharing notes as PDFs. Especially since I like to write in fountain pens and I can share it in my own handwriting.I would like to adjust the size of the folders (as I have several). I would also like to be able to edit/add notes with my s-pen, but those are minor things really. This is definitely a great app for people like me who prefer to hand write notes, but want to quickly anf easily archive and share the handwritten notes!

Suddenly loud ads! The first time I used this, there was a sudden loud ad you can't close or skip. I understand ads in the free version, that's not the problem. You need revenue. But this is not a game or video/streaming app, why sudden intrusive audio? This is not an app you expect to make noise in normal use. There needs to be some warning for disruptive ads. Unfortunately, uninstalled.

I use it for scanning in traditional drawings from my sketchbook. I've tried out several other scanning apps and none of them really worked until I got this! I love it so much! It works well for both colored and uncolored drawings too which is nice. I love its simplicity, different "filters" or whatever and the cropping abilities. Very nice app and would reccomend!

the best app I've found for scanning to pdf. I used another app until they switched to a monthly subscription. I downloaded Notebloc looking for an alternative, and I'm very pleased. Even without paying to remove the ads, you still get the full functionality of the app, which you don't see much nowadays. I used the app for about 5 min before paying the relatively small fee to remove ads and support the developers of this amazing app. It's a perfect fit for my workflow.

Scans and tweaks edges very easily. Makes multi-page documents that don't need a PDF stitcher. Easy to share documents by email or various cloud services. Thank you for a real workhorse. Update: okay, ads more intrusive. I have set a dedicated camera for use w this app to a fairly low resolution—still site readable, but at "good photo" resolution, files created are just way too huge. Update: ads even MORE intrusive, covering content. Keeps going this way, I'm going to shop elsewhere.

Great document processing app! It's reduced the clutter around my desk considerably. The only downside for me are the small white borders that get added along the top and bottom of scanned documents. *Edit 7/8/18 After further use, the white bars aren't added to the image by default in the app, but only when you share the image to Google drive from the app. By saving the image to my phone first and then exporting to Google drive, it keeps the white borders from appearing.

The app is ok. Though you can achieve the same thing with almost the same results with just your camera. Yeah sure, it does sometimes makes your notes (or someone elses notes)more legible but if you need to copy someone's notes via taking a photo you obviously wanna make sure their hand writing is legible in the first place, therefore making the feature quite useless. For a real cool moment your app had me with the idea that it scans the photo you take (that being notes) and then writes it down itself. This basicly relies on the whole idea you know how to take picture right as well as making sure your light source will not ruin your picture. I enjoy the concept but not really practical if I already have a camera to do so in the first opace
