I think that the game is great. Iike how you command the battlefield but at the same time you are able to fight in first person. What I experienced is that the game would take up a huge amount of space in my phone. When I would clesr some space in my phone, the game wouldn't work and I would lose all of my progress. The game would also crash and freeze constantly as well as become laggy.

Awesome game, Very fun to play and one of the few games I have payed to turn off ads because it actually deserves it. Although there is a premium currency, you can earn large amounts just by progressing through the skirmish mode, which you can reset to the beginning and farm more. With almost no limit that I've found to how often you can reset the mode. The game is actually really well balanced, and you can control yourself or you can play in a RTS mode, which means the game can play itself.

The game was a ton of fun. I enjoy the way it plays, and the idea behind it. However, around campaign level 11+ the enemy begins to use armored troops. This isn't a huge deal at first, because you have a decent stock of anti-armor ammo given to you. But when that runs dry, you either have to purchase the ammo as a micro transaction or you have to hope to get it out of a crate. Its a micro transaction hole.

Unable to open 250+ skirmish crate Great game, a lot of bugs and pop up ads though. Game itself is fun, I've been playing for a while. Controls are easy, action and strategy are both on point. Progression is a bit slow if free player. There are a lot of noticeable bugs which require game restart. TON of pop up ads. Every chance they get it's an ad. Most notably when you minimise your game. Sometimes ads cause game to crash. Make game paid (like $4.99), get rid of ads, keep the loot boxes if you must, and keep progression system which is fair enough i guess.. And fix stability!

Not a game like it. It's great. Love the combat and the strategy. My only complaint is that when it gets challenging, it doesn't make sense. Like why does the enemy get 6 officers but I only get 3? Why do they get 4 energy points per turn, despite the fact that I have all the depots and earthshaker cannons? If you make it harder, it needs to make sense.

Could be a great game, but the controls are just so badly designed. I gave this game a solid 15 hours thinking maybe I'd just get used to them but no, this game just has terrible controls. The run button that doesn't work near cover, doubletapping anywhere on the screen makes you turn around (including a hair's width off the "fire" button,) the complete confusion when trying to engage in melee, it's just too damn much. Please work on these controls a bit people. It just takes testing.

One of the best and most complete games on the app store. Whether on a low-end device or brand new phone, it runs smoothly and looks/feels amazing. Love the jump in/out play style, gives you full control of your army on an enormous battlefield. I've been playing this game off and on for a while now, it does not disappoint. If you're a fan of cover based shooters, strategic RPGs, idle games, sci-fi or just a fan of great games that have story and challenging gameplay, Noblemen: 1896 is for you. I didn't even mention it's completely available OFFLINE! so stop complaining about the ads! Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what else you guys put out! I play on a ZTE Jasper LTE

Genuinely, I love this game. I uninstalled months ago (I don't know why), reinstalled a couple of days ago, and I don't mind it a bit. The guns feel a lot more balanced than they did before, and skirmishes are as fun as always. My problem is that when I uninstalled, the problem of crashes was pretty much solved, except for the occasional one. Now the problem of crashes have come back, but NOT as often as months ago. Anyways, good game.

I tried to play this game on another phone but it would always freeze or it would be extremely slow. But other than the graphics the game is extremely well made. Great job. Edit: I now see that there has been a major graphical update. New Edit: l have a request for the developer, could you give the ghoul unit a special ability, like when it kills an enemy, the dead enemies join the ghoul unit, increasing its health and unit size. Also the vampire unit should turn dead enemies into ghouls.

I love this game. It is one of the first strategy games I have played, and I was addicted. Has third person battles along with tactics. Many reviews said that the graphics werw not as depicted, but it automatically adjust graphics based off your phone or device, so it was because you did not have a good phone. Keep up the good work! Would be great if a multiplayer mode where you battle other people in large scale battles, or a multiplayer where you fight random battles, but the person who plans the tactics was a human not an AI was added, but its still a great game! I was genuinely impressed.

It's a good game. It has good weapons, good sounds, and although the controls are pretty weird to get used to, they are responsive and easy once you get the hang of it. Then later, aound mission 50, you'll see that the designer got drunk and said "hey, I'll make the next 7 levels a slog." That's before level 60 which basically demands you have at least 40 war score to actually start because it is nearly impossible otherwise. Also, silver income is lowered from 1000 to 750 after a certain time.

This is a very well thought out game-much better than most other games of it's kind. It is actually free to play without buying anything. There are only two changes I would suggest. First, have the ammunition setting automatically go to basic ammunition at the beginning of each battle, so you don't accidentally waste your high-power ammo on weak targets. Second, maybe consider having the killed soldiers stay where they fell(like the destroyed artillery) to make it more realistic.

Overall a great game. The story is immersive, but difficult to understand early. Progression can be slow, but it's not super grind-y. The controls are easy to learn, and the different 'classes' help satisfy most playstyles. Not a fan of the most recent update, which got rid of a lot of the gold collection, but overall I'm impressed that this is a mobile game with a console game experience. Good work.

Definitely a gem. One of the best mobile games I have played. Levels get more and more immersive and fighting areas change as you get more in depth. Unlocking characters and armor is rewarding and great. The levels are immersive with either a lighting flashing rainy night or sometimes in the middle of a sunny day. Very well dynamic between board game mechanics and battles between armies. I've been playing for a while and it still surprises me with great graphics and controls that might take a while to get used to but great after. Keeling in mind this is a mobile game I would rate higher than five stars if I could. Kudos to the developers. To completely refine this game, the rigid and unnatural movement of the units should feel more natural. Maybe the AI of the opposing team during battles should become smarter about tactics pushing you to use them as well. Making ill equipped battles not easy to win by obliterating the enemy team with just your main character but rather getting crushed, because of the number of units you have or so on and so forth. Maybe even allowing higher end phones to run with 60fps to provide silky smooth experience with more grand scale battles on higher end phones. There's ofcourse a limit to what phones can do but making the game push the phone to its limits if enabled through the settings for whoever wants would also be another great option. Overall great game however. I hope the developers or at least someone can read this through because this a very lengthy review.

This is a perfect strategy shooter hybrid. I never thought those two would truly go together until I started playing. You have your army capture ammo points, bombard bases and many other things without battle. But when it's go time, and there's gonna be a gunfight, that's when you jump in the action. I'll probably never delete this game. (Developers, if you see this, please remake this in Unreal Engine 5 for console. With just a few tweaks, this could make for a great console game!)

Controls are wonky, but otherwise a good game. Edit: 5 Star. This game is fantastic. It shows how much effort the devs put into this game. It's quite fleshed out, and I love the system of swapping between FPS and top-down Commander play styles mid-game. The controls are good once you move them around and find a position that is comfortable for your hands. The option to remove adds is >$5,which is so much less than any other games out there, and there is no P2W in this game. I recommend playing.

For a mobel game with...questionable graphics, it's really good. The gameplay is a pretty single loop, but it can definitely be a challenge to mater. Guns feel like real guns, wide variety of officers, troopers, armors, ect. I will say this game does have a lot of money options, but they designed it so (on purpose or not) that the game isn't hindered by your want not to spend money.

honestly, it's really good, I like the crossover of strategy and 3rd person shooter. It is greater than any other of the top-down combat games. I do not like top-down shooters. The 3rd person is iffy, but if the game is done right, it's amazing, fps is my best, though. One thing, however, I wish you could move while aiming, not a big problem, so It's just a suggestion, really.

Normally I wouldn't give five stars to a game that has as many flaws as this one. But despite the moments of the learning curve, and occasional inconsistencies with the game mechanics (cover recognition will screw me here and there).. This game is unique and genuinely fun. I would best describe it as a mobile version of Ghost Recon: advanced warfare, set during WW1. It's fantastic in its transition from overhead command mode to 1st person shooter. Free download, $3 to remove ads. Worth it, imo

This is one of my favorite mobile games ever made and I highly recommend it, but with a few notes to be aware of. First, the number of ads seemed to increase over time. I seem to get one after every battle now. Folks gotta make money, so I understand, but customers should be aware. Second, it's a bit too easy, I think. I struggle very rarely, and once you get artillery or vehicle Officers, you've essentially won the game. Overall, still a solid 4/5 I think.
