A well developed app. I appreciate how it flows just like the Bible pages when reading chapter after chapter of a Book in the Bible. I like this Bible app. It has highlighting and other features. I do a lot of highlighting in my personal Bible. This app picks up where I left off. Great app that the developers spent much time on. It's very useful for being on the go and for quickly locating Scriptures.👍🏾💕🙏🏾😇

This is the best Bible app on the market! I've installed, and soon after uninstalled, dozens of Bible apps from my phone. Other apps have been lacking functions I like to use, or they are plagued with ads that cover 20% of my screen or pop ups that cover my full screen. This app has everything I want, and its features are not confusing, tedious or difficult to use. The search feature is unparalleled in the Bible app market. This app must have been designed by a serious student of the Bible.

The app doesn't crash only once in awhile but it's easily fixed by going out and going back in. Signing up with Olive Tree does keep your notes and bookmarks safe if you change phones or go back to factory, you just have to log back into your account. So far, I have unlimited notes which is great..great app!!!

Would it be possible for the NKJV text to fill the text window, like other Olive Tree Bible versions do? The NKJV seems to be formatted to use large margins, leaving empty gaps on the sides, so the text tends to bunch together in he middle, instead of using all the available window space. The 10 commandments in Exodus 20 is a clear example.

I love the three-year, through the Bible reading plan -- Every Word in the Bible -- but left open too long, the app causes my phone to go into low memory state. A major flaw. Pros: functionality, such as being able to highlight specific words in a verse instead of the entire verse. I also like the ability to click on verse references and immediately go to the reference. Another con, is no ability to underline a verse and compare it in several other translations -- I switch apps to do this.

When the app worked it was great. The problem is, it would just stop working after running a while. When it froze up, all I would see was the red splash screen and at that point I had to restart my phone to get the app to work again. After the restart all would be well for a little while, then the same thing would happen. Again and again and again.... It just became too much of a hassle to work with. I reached out to customer service, but ultimately that didn't help, so I uninstalled it from my phone. I'm now using My Sword--completely free, no ads and no nags. And it works flawlessly. I gave this NKJV Bible by Olive Tree 2 stars because when it did work, it was a great app, albeit an inconsistent one.

I can't overstate how awesome this Bible app is. You get 2 free versions to choose from, and it comes with so many features. Bookmarks, highlights, saved passages, reference notes, study guides, etc. You can also customize the appearance if you prefer different background colors, or day/night mode. I want to say that this app also has daily devotional/study notifications, but I'm not positive. But really at the end of the day, it's a free frickin Bible! Thanks Olive Tree & Harper Collins!

Great choice for reading the NKJV offline! I downloaded it for that purpose and it has not disappointed. I have not spent much time with the other available resources, so I am probably not using it to it's full potential. Olive Tree support is very responsive, so definitely get in touch with them if you have any issues. I initially had a problem with scroll behavior in the app. They helped me fix it within hours of first contract.

I used this app for more than 20 years. It has come a long way since then. Things I like: 1. I have access to lots of Bibles (some free and others not) on my phone 2. Searches are very powerful 3. I can make notes 4. I can backup my notes for free. 5. The main screens can be sync locked or not 6. Great support 7. Many more What I do not like: 1. The app seems to depend on having internet access, on startup. This was not so in older versions. 2. Others, but no space to list them!?

It started out with a logical and simple way to look up a Bible passage. 66 squares, one for Every book After selecting a book, it then displayed a square for each chapter. So simple, very functional. Logical. I like that. Then all on it's own, the app changed and it went to a less user friendly, more time consuming scroll method. So typical of computers. And there is no way to make it to back to the user friendly version. Please please please think of the user experience before you roll o

This app is user friendly and very helpful. Navigating through the books and verses are done with ease. My only complaint arose after one of the updates which now prevents me from exiting the app with the back button. I have to minimize the screen to close it out. But overall, the app and the features are exceptional

This bible app is easy to navigate. I do like the highlight feature and the ability to flow from one chapter to the next without having to exit the screen to select another chapter. ** I have edited my rating. The highlight feature has been tricky and difficult at times with highlighting one or two sentences, for example, within a paragraph. The cursors want to highlight the whole paragraph and they jump away from the sentence(s).

I love this app because it records your reading history for each day. It also opens up to where you had previously stopped reading. However, in particular, I really like the search feature. It has helped me to find a specific verse, and I can limit the search to one or more books, or the entire Bible if I wish. I have not found any other Bible app with these features.

Fantastic! I've tried over a dozen bible apps and this one is by far the best one. You can bookmark scriptures, highlight and underline and customize the colors, change font, font size and appearance, change bible versions, copy scripture with and without the verse numbers, search for any scripture by book or segment, go to any chapter and verse almost instantly and much more! BEAUTIFUL functional APP for bible reading, study, research etc. Love it

Great Bible app! Interface takes little getting used to. Settings customizable. I set continuous scrolling pages, for example. If you do quoting into any external Bible study or notes, there's setting to include the verse numbers & NKJV citation. Also an option to view the text in a verse-by-verse format, or in paragraphs. Selecting footnote indicator pops up comprehensive study note entries for it and surrounding references. Hard to describe, but just as it ought to be. HIGHLY recommended!

love how as you read reference books-chapter verses it shows you where you are and it's easy to keep track. However there are several problems with this app. If at any point I try to move elsewhere within the app it goes to original opening page (red NKJV) and I cannot open the Bible app. No matter what I do. I force close and go back at some point, though it sometimes takes a long time to open.

I can't tell you what I like or don't like about it because I can't even log into the app. Setting up a new account was a long frustrating process because of the constant "Invalid username or password" messages. How can a user name and password be invalid when it meets the simple 8+ character minimum? When it finally allowed me to set up the account I went through the same repeated kinds of error messages to log in. When the login was finally accomplished the app stopped running and crashed. After uninstalling and installing again I have the same problem. "LOGIN FAILED". It should not be this frustrating to be able to read the Bible on my phone. No choice but to move on and see what other apps are available.

I am not a fan of the changes to UI that keep occuring but there are settings to revert back I learned about (make changes but don't set them as default please!). I'm also happy I updated phone and was able to sync all my notes and tags to new phone. I didnt lose anything which is a huge blessing. Love this app.

This is quite an amazing app, and with the amount of downloadable resources, one can study God's word to the depth desired. The navigation takes a little getting used to, but within perhaps a week becomes quite user-friendly. Thanks to Olive Tree for the ability to take the Word and all of the tools to study the Word with us wherever we go.
