About Vijayalakshmi Nirvana
At the heart of Nirvana Academy’s vision is Vijayalakshmi Nirvana, an adept Yoga Therapist with over 11 years of experience in holistic healing and spiritual instruction. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Yoga & Spirituality from S-VYASA University and a Master’s in Yoga Therapy from Manipal University, equipping her with deep insight into both traditional and contemporary approaches to well-being.
Vijayalakshmi’s journey began in the Gurukula system of education at Maithreyee Gurukulam, where her primary and secondary education immersed her in Veda Mantras, Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and Yoga Shastra. This rare foundation instilled in her a deep reverence for Indian tradition, culture, and spiritual philosophy—shaping the path she walks and teaches today.

Awesome 😊 Vijayaji is truly Gurumaa, knowledge flows through her. Each session is an immersion in Divine bliss. Whether notes or the teachings of Gurumaa, sharing is done wholeheartedly. Very grateful for the Shivopasna workshop and deep gratitude to the Nirvana team 🙏 I strongly recommend the course to seekers like me who always wanted to learn the right pronounciation of Sanskrit mantras alongwith the meaning so that we chant with our whole being. My understanding of Shiva has never been this deep. I am a part of the Shivopasana course which culminates with Shivratri today. Never knew how chanting shlokas and bhakti could sink in so deep in the consciousness and be tranformative. The course is very well curated with proper understanding of the meaning of the strotams and on top of it the guru's (Vijaya ji's) dedication just shines through her while she teaches. Her knowledge is vast. I'll ever remain indebted to her and her team.

Namaste!!! Viji ma'am Shiva workshop is really soul satisfying. Every akshara was explained how to pronounce and every word with its meaning. Saying a shloka with proper phonetics, knowing the meaning really lands me parallel universe. I really liked the way you had quoted from Vedas . It was a great spiritually enriching experience while doing the 11 day Ram Raksha stotram online workshop with Nirvana and Smt. Vijayalakshmi. The app is easy to use with all the Stotram day-wise pdfs, recordings and Chat transcripts with Guruma's chantings and detailed explanation and all the required details/info at one place...I would definitely recommend this app to all the beginners like me who want to embark on this spiritual path and get peace, tranquility and spiritual upliftment👌🙏

Being a Nirvana student, I feel blessed. Since September I am learning and knowing about my root. It could possible only for my Guru Ma. The way she taught us, treat us, it's a blessing. I'm attending their Shivopasana program.. Vijaya ma'am and their entire team is doing a wonderful job.. ma'am s explanations about the shlokas and mantras is very good, giving you in depth understanding of the meaning as well as sanskrit vocabulary.. she will make sure you get every bit of what she is teaching.. after attending im sure your interest in the subject will only deepen; inspiring you to study more learn more and get more close to Shiva himself..

I am 65 years old. Interested in learning. Came across this academy on Instagram Jioned the course Nitya prarthana. Extremely well made . Vijalakshmi and the whole team has taken lot of interest in teaching the shlokas along with their meaning. Their dedication in conducting such courses has to appreciated. I feel words are very less for their appreciation. God bless them . I wish they continue with this work and wish them more and more prosperity. 😊🌺
