I agree with everyone saying how horrible this new update to NHL is. I don't know why you changed it and made it so hard to find anything even when you select your favorite team you don't get that page. All my setting were wiped out...oh wait,...they don't exist anymore! One of the settings I loved was being able to have a goal horn play when your team scored. Please go back to the old format. Sometimes new is not better!!!

Love that I can watch every one of my favorite team's games from afar. Hate that every few weeks, it stops working, tries to make me sign up again, and says it "can't restore my purchase" of the full season, so I have to uninstall, reinstall, and hope for the best (missing at least half the game. When it works, it's great... but it doesn't work nearly enough.

Update is terrible. The scrolling is glitchy along with just being flat out nonsensical. Why can I only go back one day to check scores? Why do I have to go into the calendar and pick the date of a game I might want to look up days prior? The old one let you scroll in perpetuity. Hiding information..we can see how many goals a player has on the main score page, but not when you go into a game? How about assists? Nope, gotta go into the game to see who got the assets. Just all around a big mess.

Frankly, I have no idea why they decided to redesign the application. This version is absolutely awful. Especially, when it comes to notifications. I just want to hear news and updates from my own team and not the entire rest of the league. It gives you the option to not get news but, it gives you news for the rest of the league whether you want it or not. Obviously, this is a coating bug but they need to fix it. Finally, I just shut off the notifications cuz it was too annoying.

The NHL App (Android), their latest updated version for the '23-'24 season, is FINALLY decent. At last, they put who assisted on the goals and the exact time (& period) the score happened...it's too bad it took the whole season for them to allow that information to be easily seen. The latest news tab still takes forever to load and its format of the news stories is still just a mess. In the end (of the regular season...last 5-ish games or so), they did correct a few of the season-long problems.

Who gave this app change the greenlight? Other than quick and easy video highlights, everything sucks. I can't see more than one previous game result for my team's month of October. In game stats show a player's assist totals but not goal totals on the season. The app doesn't update the scoreboard in real time anymore, you have to refresh manually, and these are just off the top of my head. There's too many counterintuitive UI problems to discuss with 500 characters. Horrendous app.

New version is just horrible. After "renovation" all the notification settings are ruined. All the UI setups reset to defaults, I have to edit it again. Now, it became less friendly that previous, even though I thought it can't happen. Scores view doesn't allow to go back for more than 1 day with swipe, only calendar does. No password autofill. Some of videos aren't loading. Why can't I follow more than 4 teams? Why only 1 favorite? And why still can't I follow a player? Why only teams?

After using the updated version for this latest season, I want the old, ugly app back. It's harder to find my team than it used to be, there's less information presented, and the live audio stream just stops working unless you keep the app open instead of running in the background. But by far my biggest gripe is that the NHL app disappeared from Android Auto. That was such a great feature that was easy to use in the car. Why that was taken away is simply baffling to me.

0 stars-Wish I could revert back to the old app. Schedule feature is horrible. It was so much easier to see the whole month at a glance. You also saw whether they won/lost with the score right on the calendar page. The option to search on a player (regardless of team) is gone. During the games, you can't see who has the assist on a goal anymore. And the score order changed, not left to right anymore. I do not forsee me using the app much this year, versus years past where it was a prominent app.

Your bug fix for radio streams made it worse. My audio streams stop after a few seconds of playback. Hitting the play button only repeats the issue. Closing the app and opening does not work either. I tried both wifi and cell data, and I got the same issue. Also, give us back the integration with Android Auto. It's 2025, and a streaming app without this is archaic.

What happened!?! The NHL app used to be great last season. Now they have removed and changed things so much that it's not even the same app, and it is far less useful than it used to be. The changes are terrible. What happened to the widget icon? This app still sucks. Bring back useful features and quit being stupid. The app doesn't even tell you if a team has clinched the playoffs anymore.

I have had this app for years and mostly love it, but this season the audio is complete TRASH! If I don't keep the app open when listening to a game, the audio cuts out about 30 seconds later. It is extremely frustrating and with the number of similar complaints it's mind boggling that you haven't been able to fix this bug yet.

This app is trash. Has a bug and continues to crash every 30 seconds. Tried to listen to a game and had to constantly reopen the app and select the game only for it to crash 30 seconds later so I could repeat the process. Saw it was updated on 1/30. Well the update made it worse. They need to trash this app and start over. If I could give negative stars I would.

Constantly crashes. 100% of the time if you try to expand the game thats at the bottom of the list of a particular date. Good to check what schedule is for a date but not much else. Update 2024- It's even worse now. Update in 2025 - still a terribly designed app. When listening to broadcasts on the app it stops the audio after 2 mins every time. Fantastically inept employees built this.

Why wouldn't you put the teams record right on their page. If I click Anaheim ducks it should have their record result visible, but no, I've got to click standings and go on a goose hunt and find my team or any teams record. Stupid. update as of 4/12/25: can't even use the app because its just a black screen. closed and reopened multiple times to it working once out of ~ 7 attempts. in no scenario is that acceptable.

Since the beginning of April (2025), everything in the app is running slow as molasses and the scores page never loads. It's almost unusable. And it's not my phone, other apps work fine and I can load the website just fine so it's not my internet either. I don't know if you're working on fixes or updates for the playoffs, but please do! I like the app much better than website, or at least I did when it worked! I even tried uninstalling/ reinstalling, and it's the same.

It would be great if the audio broadcasts continued playing even if the lock screen comes on or if I'm doing something on my phone besides listening to the game. Seems like this is an issue at least every other season, if not every season! It's the 21st century, guys! Please, let's figure out the device multitasking thing once and for all!
