Use both Text+ & Next+ on different devices; issues such as what Michael Jones mentioned seem 2b a learning experience for a dev team responsive 2 those of us inconvenienced by bugs w/ *constructive* critique. Save changes for app features & versions that are working & stable. 🐴 but thanks 2 N+ team 4 listening, addressing (most) legit probs & acknowledging Would've liked a less random area code w/regards to # assignments. too many ads .

Used the app for many years with very good experience. Recently international text messages between US numbers and Canadian numbers are being blocked. Moreover, some text messages were marked as delivered but not actually sent through to the recipient. This is quite inconvenient as the contact then has to be verified via some other means. It is possible that these problems are the result of government regulatory agencies or phone carrier blockages so I reserve judgment for the time being. - 1*

This app cannot be used for any kind of reliable communication! First off I've been keeping it up-to-date and yet I've had to uninstall it twice because of bugs. Most notable is messages not getting sent but being labeled as sent! Second off I'm not receiving some of my messages, also I keep receiving push notifications about a few messages not sent but I cannot delete those messages it does not show me where those messages are who there too and it won't reset them or even disappear. Another thing I used to have customizable voicemail greeting now no voicemail greeting at all it just beeps and confuses my callers. Trying to use this app for work is gotten me into trouble several times already this time I'm uninstalling it I suggest everybody do the same and get a reliable app like TextNow

This app has now introduced the very annoying "reCapchat" before given you a phone number, and to know if you are "human or robot" which sounds asinine as they have other ways, yet the "reCaptcha" freezes when you click on it and won't give you any squares to click on. It will also will give you MULTIPLE spam calls from whatever area code you chose (it did one again as I was writing this review). And Even if you block them they will just keep calling you or chose another number with same area. Until that is fixed I will not recommended this app! As it is NOT EVEN WORKING RIGHT NOW as the reCaptcha freezes and never stops spinning when you click on it!

I used this app for approx. 1 year completely free (w/adds), mainly for texts & it saved me a bundle over paying for text w/Tracfone. At that point I decided that they have earned their keep so now I pay them a few bucks to have the ads removed. I've always had the 1 same number that they initially gave me (now over 2 years ago). Admittedly I don't use this for voice phone calls very much but occasionally somebody calls me on their number and I've had no trouble at all. I recommend this.

Terrible connection, my internet is fine for all my other apps, as well as all my devices. Calls constantly drop and I'm literally sitting next to the router. Something s after a reboot I'll get messages that were sent a day or two before the best feature is free texting, but I bought the 1 year unlimited calls and I can hardly have a conversation. First, there are the intrusive ads, always popping up quick enough that you click them by 'accident'. But most importantly, the calling feature of this app stopped working and never resumed. I used this app for years to make calls over wifi when I was unable to make calls with my spotty data service, but now the calling functionality of this app does not work at all. It endlessly says 'dialing', and never actually makes a call. If I hadn't used this app for so long, it would get 1 star.

Could be the worst text app. Non stop crashes. If you're lucky to open it and send a text, it will be followed by ridiculously loud and obnoxious ad music, impossible to avoid. Each time you manage to send one measly text, you pay the price by being ambushed by loud music. Do NOT bother with Next Plus! Update, replying to their response- not sure if English language is their issue? I never mentioned credits! I'm talking about this app that is crashing 10 x a day plus crazy loud ads, unavoidable!

I have been using this app for a long time with no problems that are to tough to handle. It just doesn't respond once in awhile if I leave it open all day and night without refreshing it throughout the entire time it's opened, maybe it's own way of refreshing itself to stay up-to-date on everything you want it to. I am still using this app after about eight months, and still no problems with it. Well, its been a year and some change and I can't come up with any negatives only positive things to say about Nextplus. Kudos, Thank you for your app. Nextplus team.

Google needs remove this from the play store. Not working again!!! The app use to be good now it's worthless. Can't send messages, no support, no troubleshooting information that relates to the issues. The vendor doesn't respond to emails. Very bad experience. They are fully aware of the issues over the last month and haven't addressed the issue. What's this big issue? They send the same auto response still no help!!!!! still not working

Used this app for years, even used TextPlus for the longest time before the name changed. Now the app is breaking and getting worse by the day. Messages and contacts won't load, and half the time messages don't send at all. Few years back, I'd recommend this 110%. Now? Don't even waste your time downloading this. July 18th Update: they've now placed pop up ad boxes that can show up at any time, anywhere while on the app.....just...why?

This app was better until this last year. Now there are video ads that pop up randomly on top of the ads that are already a banner on the bottom of the screen. Incoming calls are either delayed or don't display at all, and you only receive a missed call notification. Text messages are fairly reliable though. You can pick your own phone number, including area code. Has Customization options too For a free app, it's not terrible, but don't expect it to be as seamless as your regular phone number.

Textplus use to be a good app, when it became Nextplus it became garbage. Have to close and open the app numerous times just to read a text, same goes for sending a text. 75% of the time the text fails to send, have to open and close the app multiple times and continuously press resend. Half of the time the conversations will not appear so I have to open and close the app a bunch. I would NEVER recommend this app to anyone.

update: now app just crashes after opening. Totally buggy and useless. SMS service did work great except you have to have a signatute after every message which makes your texts look ridiculous. but now not an issue since app will crash in 1-2 deconds. Picture messaging still a huge headache to attach multiple but will work. I can't speak for all phones but Google Pixel 2 XL doesn't work at least. Can't speak to voicemail or anything as it never worked.

Still no notifications for group chats. Half of group chat messages are never received. Large empty spaces in conversations. If you ever get logged out, good luck logging back in even if your login information is correct. Pictures aren't currently visible. App is getting worse as more and more features are added and the basic functions no longer work well.

have been paying for ad-free for years how and just got a reminder that I will De charged again for another year in a couple of days. But have been getting ads, and have communicated many times, but nothing. I wish to get this issue fixed. I have also had many texts never go out in the same time frame the ads have been coming. Please help. After I wrote this review, they took my number away, i had for year's and want back. I also pay to keep my number; get this fix

It's been about a week that outbound messages aren't working with Verizon service. No updates or end in sight. considering downloading another app. Even before this, had trouble with some messages not being sent. I would check with the person on the other end and nothing would appear. not even an error message. Multiple problems. used to be a good app but not sure of that now.

Constantly drops incoming calls or just doesn't let them through. Sometimes sends my texts.. sometimes. Can't picture message anymore, where that wasn't a problem before. Super laggy. Just pure trash at times. Edit: Does not notify me at all when someone calls or texts. I have to regularly check into the app just to see if someone called or text. Won't save contact names. Update: Emailed. Still missing calls. If I didn't need the phone number at the moment, I'd delete this and try another app.

I've been using this app while living abroad to be able to communicate with friends and family for the past 5 years (previously I used Heywire, but Nextplus worked better for me). Originally I gave this app 4 stars, but I'm updating my review and giving the app a lower score. Recently, I've been having problems with sending messages to friends and family. I receive messages just fine, but when I try to reply it seems to have sent, but is some cases it arrives to its destination and other times it seems to disappear. For some of my contacts I don't have a problem, for others only photos go through but not SMS. I've tried reinstalling and playing with settings but I haven't been able to resolve the issue thus far. Phone calls still seem to work perfectly.

Love everything about this app. fabulous sound quality with WiFi calling. I'm confident nextplusGo is just as amazing but it's not available at my location yet :( only downfall is, the way you have to contact customer service, it's threw email. I wish there was a # to call an talk to someone. Updated review in 2021: still love the app. I can't send a message out if there isn't an ad to watch/view. That's annoying.
