I can't believe you're charging me for this service. EVERYTIME I turn it on, it doesn't work....keeps buffering or makes you restart the app and having to enter all your credentials one digit at a time. Makes you want to throw your remote through the TV screen! Giving it another month then canceling if you can't get this right!. ....update...save your money. Canceling my subscription MAYBE I'll try again in the Fall. Couldn't wait the month

Newsmax appears to have a reactive IT department, not proactive. I'm betting they're running out of licenses and therefore the app on Chromecast and firestick all say restart app. I had to ask them four times to turn off closed captioning, because it's not an option in the casing devices... I think they were doing it on a case-by-case basis, if you can believe that.

I have never experienced the trouble I have put up with since downloading this newsmax app. I can't watch a program on time without having to send a email complaining about the issues I'm having, and then like magic it comes on. They have tried on 2 different occasions to take $39.99 out of my account for an subscriptions I signed up to pay $4.99 for. Now when I try to open the app, the homepage opens and then closes. I get email's to complete my sign up, but I have a conformation number.

Newsmax is great it's my go to. The app ... Not so much. It plays for about 2 min then just buffers. The only way to move on is to exit and restart the app. Then when you join back up you never know when it is going to put you. I watched the same commercial about 3 times and caught the end of a story then had to restart and it put me at the beginning of a story. The app definitely need some work

Very obtrusive ads and inappropriate content in thos ads. I don't want ads for food when trying to read the news. I don't want obnoxious videos popping up on my screen, and not being able to close them. And as for the app 8tself, why cant it remember how far down the main list I was before clicking on a story, only to hit the back button and end up back at the top of the list? I'll happily pay for and ad free version that addresses all of the above issues. Fix it or I'm uninstalling.

I like Newsmax but the app is okay. I would like it to have the capability to play video while multitasking like texting or using the browser instead of shutting down or pausing. It does have a nice feature of fast forwarding it rewinding 10 seconds with a screen tap. If you tap it 10 times then it's a10 sec skip it rewind. That works on their non live TV. Which brings me to another nice feature, you can watch their shows without the commercials! Very nice.

I love Newsmax, but this app needs improvement! Issues: No buffering. It will many times repeat the last 5 seconds of audio and then later catch up, but you lost the 5 seconds on catchup. It will double-play audio even though it's only showing one visual. You can't close the app and continue to listen! This is annoying. There is more, but that is a start.

I think this app is horrible and I just uninstalled it. I use it on my Samsung S9 cellphone and it constantly stops. Some times it restarts on it's own (after you miss part of what was being said) and sometimes it gives the old "Oops, something went wrong" error message and you have to restart the app. If it work consistently it would be great but it's very undependable. We can watch Netflix and other live stream videos without problem but Newsmax needs great improvement!!

GREAT CONTENT! Which is why I give it 3 stars. The problems lie with the app freezing, restarting, and the audio being "off target" meaning the words don't match up with the mouths. Personally, I don't care much about the audio being "off" since I usually just listen to this app while I'm driving. But the app constantly freezing and closing and restarting makes it impossible to be a "hands-free" app in the car. This is big and seems like it would be an easy fix since most news apps don't do it

Happy as hell to finally find a major streaming news channel. Just played with it briefly but two features I wish they offered. #1. doesn't play in background/floating screen. I like to listen while multitasking on my device. #2 related to #1 I really wish they had an audio only stream function. I like to listen and most of the news presented can be absorbed audio only. It would save battery time as well as gain my ears for longer periods of time. Audio podcasting shows even better!

Update: Problems seem to be fixed! 4 stars! Changed my review from 2 star 1 because there has been no attempt to fix the issues listed. The app has recently given the msgs to 1)"Restart App" which doesn't help 2)"Clear data" which usually doesn't help and signs you out 3) "Exit App" which doesn't ever help. You just get these same msgs over and over. Very frustrating when you have to sign in every time you want to watch. Otherwise the App has minor bugs but is ok (not great).

Update. The app and streaming service through Roku sucks and no, it's not Roku. It's your app constantly scrolling or kicking you out, and you have to log back in through Roku it is awful. (It's not a Roku issue)You have to constantly sign back in or back out reopen. Maybe you should fix your streaming service and app and then think about selling stock. Once again, your service is down with error codes on Roku. You are not ready for prime time. Call Fox and ask them how to keep streaming running

Takes forever to open (if it opens) double speak, repeats itself. I finally am able to watch it on my Samsung TV, but had to purchase a Roku setup to do so. Every time I go to the app, it says I've been signed out and I have to sign in each time to watch. Very disappointed! I hope they fix this. I love newsmax, but this is not worth $50 if it doesn't work.

App doesn't work properly. I am continuously having to clear data and then I have to sign back in. No easy way to sign in. You have to put in email and password every time. Not like other apps with just a code. I paid for a year but I may have to cancel at the end if this isn't fixed. Love the shows and news and never had an issue with the free version. Please fix this as we watch Newsmax all evening.

Update - 3 months: I'm STILL very disappointed with this app. I love NewsMax+, but this app is still so buggy it makes viewing extremely frustrating. It no longer crashes, but video and audio frequently skips, every few minutes, repeating the audio and video from the last few seconds, like a "broken record". Video will also freeze, while the audio continues. Surely you folks must have people savvy enough resolve all these issues. If I bought a car that worked like this app, I'd return it.

When I'm using the paid for app on my Vizio TV, it forces to watch two or three commercials upon starting , that's fine, but when it stops to reload and it takes forever, which forces you to restart the app and then you got to watch the same commercials endlessly when you restart it half a dozen times..... Arghhhh! If it's paid for, why are you forced to watch commercials?

Newsmax app needs a major overhaul. No share feature for their content on my device. They have great content but zero functionality to share content. The website via a browser is the way to go. Screw their wonky tonky app. It lags. It also defaults to landscape mode with no means of portrait mode. It is all about lack of workflow and the ability to share content. Use a browser and ditch the app. Boat anchor of an app. Freezes. Laggy. Buggy and very limited in communication funtions.

The app provides accurate & unbiased news however, after reading a news story & hitting the"back" button it returns to the opening shell... not where you left off - the app didn't used to do this, so something changed. This is most inconvenient. I notified newsmax about this software bug, and they indicated their IT group would look into it. It's been over a month... no changes, so I removed it from my phone. If I don't use their app, then l don't see their ads. Hence, they make less $$.

This app is horrible. Every time this app is used, the app freezes with a lag-loop. The video freezes, and the audio loops back 10 seconds. When the audio reaches the video freeze point, the stream continues. Then, the cycle repeats continuously, every 20 seconds, until the top of the hour when the next program begins. All of the content in between is lost, too. What the hell, people? Fix this !! There are 5 other problems & I don't have enough characters Where's the option to get my $50 back?

This app got one star because it has absolutely excellent content. However, the way the application works is horrid. I gave the app months to improve. Better. Not good. One issue is there is no way to just listen to the sound stream when I driving or working in the yard while leaving the screen off or running a navigation app. During peak times the video lags or hangs. It switches from + to other contend. Drops to home screen. Worst, I have to pay for it yet I have to endure ads.
